Hey Nance...pretty nifty tool. Did you happen to see any individual T27 bits for 3/8 drive for sale at Sears? Lost mine awhile back working on the S10 distributor cap. Never did find it, neither did the mechanic I later brought it to. |

Twig - No, I have been to Sears, Northern, Burke Bros, and Advance Auto looking for individual T27 bits for socket wrenches, and have been unable to find any. They all have a kit which includes a T27. I did purchase the kit and promptly broke the bit. |

Hi Glenn....you are right, I do need 1/4 " drive. I bought the set years ago when I had a CJ-5 Jeep. Figures I'd lose the one I really need now. Please pick one up for me if it's easy enough and let me know. My first major tune-up on the S-10 pretty much stank. Seems some previous owner had over torqued the distributor cap, and the distributor housing was also made out of plastic. The main problem ended up being failed intake gaskets+new distributor equalled $250 or so. Gonna pick up that tool today, J.Nance, if they have one. Perfect for the chin spoiler removal...if I ever get the chance. U4euh, still waiting for the call from Hickory. Later... |

Ya'll come back now, Hear!?? Thanks for the drywall help. I talked to a contractor about the project. He said the exact same thing you did Jim! Except that for my final coat, which should be a third or maybe even a fourth, use a 12 inch wide blade and feather the mud out in all directions. |

Some cool stuff I found while reorganizing some stuff in the old homestead.
This dyno chart is definitely not from a Blast!
The LANGSTK run is S2 #13 in stock configuration. The other 2 runs are S2 #1313; with DYNORUN.002 being with Lightning heads and cams and a SuperTrapp muffler, and DYNORUN.005 being when I T'Stormed and race-kitted the motor at 36,000 miles (just a scant 71,500 miles ago). The only thing different from the configuration for DYNORUN.005 and the way my bike was configured for the street was the ignition module. The race ignition module did nothing expect extend the redline (which I saw as cutting engine life), but may have translated into a couple more MPH at the top end. The S1 ignition module used on the street is the same one as used in DYNORUN.002. Cool stuff to stumble on, 1313 |

Is that original CAD of the Blast? that rocks... and that Blast Emblem, is that the non-used original? |

I think that Emblem was used on the first Model year. |

I rode out to Michael's this morning, thinking I might run into Gramps. I got there about 10:30 and looked around for a while. A lot of nice bikes, including a Suzuiki thumper that reminds me of the Blast in some respects. There were no Buells there besides my Blast. About the time I was about to leave, a Firebolt and Honda ride into the lot, so I go over to talk to them. Turns out I had actually met the Honda owner at Ray Price when he had come in to testride a Uly. His friend on the Firebolt is from Fayetteville, and I assume he is too. The firebolt had been to Deals Gap last week, with his wife on the back. They had had a good time taking all the chicken strips off the tires. He and his wife are both in the air force. She is getting stationed in Hawaii for 2 years, and he isn't. That would really suck. Kind of rough on a marriage and all that. I guess Webe and southern_marine have both been in similar situations recently. I don't often stop to think about how difficult that must be. |

there is a black and purple buell of some sort that was parked next to me on campus a couple day ago. I can't recognize models by sight yet, but they looked like stock colors. I think it was a tube frame too. It was increadibly well maintained, untill I noticed the tube framing I thought it was brand new. |

Wes - Welcome back, I was wondering if you had disappeared. I can't recognize the tube frame bikes either. This is complicated by the fact the people really like to mod them, so they often end up with parts from various models. Fortunately the model is usually written on the bike somewhere. |

Webe went to Henderson tonight. But he's on the Dyna and wouldn't have been up there yet. His dad and he have the same birthday (July 10) so he went to see him. He could probably tell you some good roads to travel up that way. LOL I used to live up there too but since I wasn't a rider then I didn't pay as much attention to 'good roads'. Told (asked lol)Webe he'd better get my Blast fixed soon, or I might try riding his again. Those of you who know me ... know that's not a good idea...LOL He's got about 2 weeks before I finish these classes...after that I will really really be wanting to ride. |

Jinance-MTN idea sounds good. Was the guy in the AirForce on a red 12r? If so I met him 3 years ago on the 1st toy run in July same as we went on last year. Speaking of, are you gonna ride again this year? |

www.fullthrottlemagazine.com look to the left and click on 'event calendar' then scroll down to July 22 4th annual Christmas in July. This might be my last year for doing it, depends on a lot of things though. |

Wes & Jim, it's hard for me to say when I'm gonna be free at the moment. I've got my kids here for the next 2 weeks. Rebecca offers to watch them sometimes, and thats when I'm free. Jim - Yes it was a red 12R. It really is a small world. I'll have to check the dates for the toy run. I had a good time last year, I'd enjoy doing it again. Wes - Riding with U4euh is fun, but to get to all the roads he knows, you'll need to head down his way. I usually meet him at the Hardees in Carthage, NC. Thats about a 50 minute ride. So do it when you have 3 or 4 hours to spare or you'll be rushed. |

U4..We are always informed on Thursdays about weekend work, so I'll let you know something. 11 weeks and counting on the S/S. My patience is wearing a bit thin. Maybe I'll get a call this week. Did'nt get a chance to ride over the weekend, I'm sure I'll want to go somewhere next weekend if I get a chance. Later... |

Hello C3 riders, I'm finally home. Been back little over a week. Came home to a dead battery on the Uly, battery tender went belly up sometime in the last two months and ate the bike battery...I think. Had it replace at Shelton's Saturday and ordered a license plate light assembly. Checked it after reading the posts here and sure enough it was cracked and just barely holding on. Black electrician's tape is keeping it in place for the time being. Scheduled 1000 mile service for this weekend, have 500 miles since returning home. Honey do list is almost complete. Count me in for Poker run on 22nd....if you don't mind a new guy tagging along? Tim |
