when the service manager calls you about your brand new Xb12 (that you just picked up last two weeks ago and dropped off for service) and tells you , "Hey, man sorry we dropped your bike.". Today is my only day off and I had planned to install CRGs, heat shields and new grips. AHHHHHHHHHHH! They broke the clutch lever, peg and mirror. Of course they are going to replace it, but they will have it ready by tomorrow (off course he delivered that part like a jingle as if I should praise him for fixing my brand new bike so quickly). I am sooooooo pissed I cant see straight! Next stop store manager. Posted this on XB board and followed up with responses. For those that saw my introduction, you know who did it. |

We all understand that accidents happen, but I'd be pissed too. It sucks when any bike is dropped, but especially when it's new. I see you got several responses on XB board. There's more traffic there during the day. Keep us posted. |

Sorry to hear it man. I think you have one advantage over me, I was the one that dropped my one day old Uly in the yard and broke the shift lever. At least you can blame them and not continuously kick yourself for the damage. These bikes are tough and easy to fix. I would just have them fix everything. The shift lever takes all of about five minutes to change out and is painted from the factory so once changed you will never know the difference. Same with the peg and amd mirror. All can be changed out with parts of equal paint quality, just make sure they replace the spring plate in the peg. I lost mine and so the peg does not always return to the most forward position. Good luck! |

I know it pisses you off, but hey the initial 'break in fall' is over with. Trust me the XB platform is rock solid, ask me how I know. Was there any cosmetic damage to the plastic/paints? |
