Loren-Thank's for posting the pic's, looks like you guys had a good time. Did you take the tour of the Buell plant? I will be in Chicago in a couple of weeks and was thinking of heading up to East Troy and taking the tour, looks like its only about 100 miles or so from Chicago. Jim |

Jim, We did take the plant tour. We actually hung out at the plant most of the day on Friday. Call ahead for that plant tour. I heard someone say something about the plant would not be open to the public for a while, after last Friday due to model year change over. No sure if that is true or not, but it could save you a drive. |

Loren-I thought that might be the case, I had plans to call ahead and see if they would be open to the public. I knew production was starting soon, thanks for the input. |

Recap of yesterday fun turned shittey evening. 4:45 left work headed home to shower. 6:20 met up with Erik W. at fuel. 7:15 Larry, Duff, and Tim show up. 8ish leave fuel for the road. 10ish arrive back at fuel for some drinks. 10:45 left Fuel to head home. took 119th East, going great, practicing stoppies at the lights. get to Nall nice little stoppie, take off get about 100ft. ENGINE SHUTS OFF!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!! WILL NOT RESTART!! coasted into the parking lot of Patty O'Quigley's. found that the kill switch circuit fuse blown. try another one, start the bike 2min. later the fuse blows again. WTF!!! so after trying to call the g/f about 20 times (no answer). called Erik W. luckily he was home and answers his phone and i proceed to beg him for a lift to my house to get my truck. he finally agreed after we compromised on a predetermined amount of beer for the trouble. drank a few beers at bar while waiting for Erik to show. 11:30ish Erik shows up (GREAT GUY!!!!) go to my house get my truck and rescue my BROKEN ARS CITYX! 2:00am finally get to go to sleep. So i will be without my bike for at least a week. electrical shorts under warranty tend to take a while to find. GEEZ this SUXS ARS! Can't really complain 10500 miles first break down. i just kinda wished it would have happened next weekend that way i could have said 11000 miles and one year without a problem. Took the bike to Gail's this morning to get it fixed and apperently the front forks were leaking when i arrived. so with the shifter shaft seal leaking i don't have to worry about doing those two things that are part of the 10k service. COOL!!!! Bobby is a great Service Manager and Beki is a great Service Adviser as well. just kidding about the begging Erik part. swell guy no hesitation at all to come to my rescue. |

Just introducing myself to the group. I got my CityX in November 2005. Loved it so much, I found myself riding all winter long. It's nice to see groups like this one. I haven't seen very many Buells in K.C. I must be looking in the wrong spots. Ride safe, Dave |

Welcome to the caos Dave, be sure to check in reguarly to keep up, these boys move fast and ride before you know it sometimes. heck some times they have demo rides at Gails and don't even post it until 6-hours before. hehehehe Anyway, which part of Missouri are you from, maybe we can hook up some time, I daily commute to Blue Springs from Overland Park on my XB12R, I think I have seen you once on 470, but it was one of those "Hey that was a Buell" and I'm headin west at an unGodly amount of speed ! |

A HUGE thank you to the Least Wanted for their great stunting at the HoAME Bike Show and Rally. And to Josh for his Controlled Insanity stunt show. You all were incredible. We had over 1,000 people come through the gates, over 150 bikes were entered in the bike show. The range and depth of the entries was phenomenal. Don't miss this great event in '07! |

Paul, Saw your post and asked Bobby our service manager about getting your bike in sooner he said bring the bike in and he could work it in between appointments, he said two days at the most. Thats the best he could do right now as we are extremely busy, hope this helps. Jim |

When you find out how many, let me know, unless you just WANT to sleep in Eureka and pay for a Motel Room, that's fine, but if there aren't fifty people, I may be able to talk to the wife about some room in the house here. |

Sometimes ALOT of riders in a strange place is not good if you know what I mean. Just glad we all came home safe and breathing. Maybe you can RIDE down next time Eric!!?hehehe just kiddin, keep poundin the crowd, maybe a few more might go. I think the newbie from Harrisonville (Kevin?) can't remember his name, might go? The pace we ride at is not aggressive at all, so I hope no one is threatened by thinking they have to be a pro rider. These trips are for everyone!!!! So Come on. Looking for someone to take their wife so I can take mine, that way they can shop while we are riding, and sight see or somthin, just an Idea, that way I can attend more rides if she thinks she can be envolved. (sorry, been married 20 years, just want her to be part of the fun once in a while) |

YES Paul i am ACTUALLY going to RIDE down this time!!!! but then again you know it is always good to have a chase vehicle that far from home in strange territory! NEVER KNOW. ALmost needed it last trip. i'll hound JIM, CODY and CHRIS!!!! maybe this time they can get away from their overworked jobs! MAYBE JUST MAYBE JIM will be through remodeling his bathroom!!!! think its been about what 6 months since he started it! i was thinking bout letting the G/F tag along but it kinda depends on finances at the time. If she does come down she could always drive my truck down. i'll know more the closer we get. |
