Looks like fun! I see Mike has her right where he wants her. We had the meeting and I took the M2 for the longest ride since last year. I rode it to work this morning and then the meeting. So I rode the bike from Grifton to Kinston to Goldsboro and back to Grifton. The bike is still a lot fun to ride. I have to get the Uly back to Backroads to have them check out the rear tire and change it out. I will write the meeting notes under the meeting thread. |

The nice lady who owns the shop that fixed my bike. Notice the Buell calendar on the wall.
Here is why I kept loosing plugs.
It looked like the steel belts would slice thru the plug. |

Mom sent pictures! Mike and his bike.
Mom getting ready for her first motorcycle ride. She really liked Mike's BMW.
These guys impressed me. They had obviously worked on Buells before. See how they have a jack under the Muffler? Most places don't know you can do that. I asked later and they said someone from Asheville brings their Uly in occasionally.
Killing time while the tires get changed.

Kristi, That does sound like fun, my wife and kids would enjoy that, but we have friends from Indiana coming down Memorial weekend. Thank you for the invite though. |

No problem -- we'll probably try another ride out to the beach. The Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium has re-opened and Ft. Macon is a neat place to go as well. We'll work on that one. We're also planning a trip to Western NC in October. |

Strick's is one of the truly great independent shops. It's an Asheville institution. |

Asheville pics.... A country store. Not much to sell, but plenty of conversation.
I took Jim up a Forest Service Road that worked it way up a ridge for miles until it popped us out at the picnic area of the BRP.
I'm ready to go back. Thanks Nance. |

don't forget the strike code, that one is fun too |

Also, you can pick up other code by highlighting a block of text, then right clicking and selecting "view source" or "view selection source." Only issue is that it shows you standard HTML while badweb uses it's own coding. In HTML the strike code looks like: <strike> sample text </strike> The same command on badweb would be: \ strike { sample text } Remove the spaces and the executed code appears as: sample text Odd, while posting this I discovered a strange thing- with the spaces in the code above, badweb ignores the code. When I put code without the spaces later in the post, it decided to ignore the spaces in the first block of code and execute both. |

All loaded up and ready to take the V-Rod to Homecoming. Leaving as early as I can muster tomorrow morning. Stopping to spend the night at Dave's (Aydenxb9) place in Indiana tomorrow night to set me up for an easy ride into East Troy on Sunday. Hotrats, Are you still going to make it to Homecoming? Send me details (when you will get there, where you are staying, etc.) via the badweb PM system and we will figure out where to meet up. I just thought of something...I will be the only one there with a C3 sticker on my helmet...but since Wisconsin doesn't require a helmet and I'll be on the Harley nobody will see it anyways...Maybe I shoulda had the C3 logo buzzed in my hair when I got my haircut... Sure wish some others from the C3 group were able to make it, as well as I wish I was on my Buell... Have a great holiday weekend everyone, 1313 |

1313 - Don't worry, you won't be the only one. There is a C3 sticker on the Buell truck.
