Sorry about last night guys. Didn't get the Lightning back together till 10:30. But it's back! Stretch, try the sponsors here. Or You might just try the classified sections. Wait till you all hear the Vance and Hines! Awesome! The 9R is really coming along. Sounds like a Buell, now. Loud, but not obnoxious. Clif |

I'm thinkin Cafe 27 is the stretch of 27 between Krome and Turnpike. Lots of streetin going on there. But I dunno. Maybe there is a Cafe 27... Stretch, I'm not sure I wouldn't go with a PC or Race ECM, Can of choice, and the K&N anyway. my $.02 Clif |

Cafe 27 Directions: Griffin road west to 27. Go right. Ride for 15 seconds. It's on the right. Look for the tiki huts and topless girls. Good band playing last night, about 150 bikes were there. Saw a guy drop his cruiser right on top of himself... think he broke his ankle. Anyone riding this weekend? |

It is good to see some SFLA Buellers with somewhere to ride. Watch out for the retiree's though! I dunno if I have mentioned it before but there are a few curves in Western Davie. Five linked turns with a nice 90-100mph straight following in either direction. I'm curious whether you all know about these already. NUTS |

Thanks M2M2. I would have been standing there watching the road heat rise... I know the place your talking about, but I didn't ride this weekend. It works for me a lot better than Hooters (at least 50 miles north!) I agree, Nuts, spill... And if life is good, I can retire and become one of them in 6 years. Dad did it, retired at 54 years young, and never worked again for the last 16 years of his life. I'd like to make it a family thing... |

"Retiree" is the politically correct way of saying more appropriately: Bluehairs, or phantom knucklers. I like older citizens; don't get me wrong but Century Village has a bus service for a REASON! On to the curves!!!!! Allow me to state these in no way are satisfying, but you are in the land of constant sea-level elevation and straightaways with traffic signals, so you'll have to take what you can get. Take I-75 to Griffin road. Exit West, go past the first light (hell, there might be 3 lights there by now) make a right just past the volvo dealership. This will take you back over 75 and down to a round-a-bout. Veer right and settle in. In that direction the first curve will be a left and I'd say about 50mph should do it. I think there's five curves and then a bumpy straight after that where the Davie police like to hang out. So take it easy first time! There is also a hefty guard rail on one side and the requisite barbed wire on the other. Unless of course they have already cleared the land and have built more homes in the runoff from Mt. Trashmore. Now Vista View Park. After the straight make the first left and you can go into the park during normal business hours. Ride up and admire the breathtaking views from the tallest semi-natural peak in S.Florida. Look north exactly 991 miles and you'll see me leaning the Lightning into another hour long series of those curves you just finished. NUTS |

I've ridden that road a few times, it's fun. Just rode the little perimeter road around Perry airport, the last section behind hooters has a few tight curves... |

Stretch Certainly better than the cost of the Hindsights. And where they mount, no problem with bar end drops taking them out. Still, I think the CRG is a cleaner look to the mount. And even though my X1 rumbles, the mirrors are excellent. Where we meeting this week? I was thinking try Cafe 27 on Wed or Thursday night. The crowds will be at Hooters and Fuddruckers, though. I got BOTH bikes running (zuhm-zuhm)... |

As so many here repeat well, take a minute, ask them if it might help expedite your bike's recovery if you call Buell Customer Care. Then take the time to do that. At least you'll know you are doing what you can... Will, can you make Fuddruckers Thursday? What about everyone else??? Clif |

I'll be @ fuddruckers thursday-just not sure on what.no word yet on the XB-not trying to bash per se-just being anxious.when I first mentioned my concern they took 3 1/2 weeks only to say they could not duplicate. after several return trips,as per warranty structure, a plan of attack was formulated. upon disassembly other concerns arose further delaying the repair. having been on the mechanics side of the equation before myself i've tried to be as understanding and patient as possible. don't necessarily want to stir up corporate suspicion toward a mechanic I truly feel IS doing everything by the specified course. only here I am in another 3 1/2 week interval again awaiting riding time on my addiction.I will call later today to check on the status again,a large list of repairs have been performed-supposedly just awaiting the tying up of small parts and loose ends! |
