No. All 2005 bugs must remain in place until 2007 unless they depart during the normal course of riding. You'll note that on my bike I've only removed the 2004 bugs, the 2005 bugs are safe under a layer of spray-on wax. Differentiating bug years on fly screens is a highly classified and specialized art form.

Being that bug guts have a different expansion/contraction ratio than fiberglass, I just made sure and rode the bike in cold enough weather that they just fell off naturally. I don't need no stinkin' secret formula method I just washed the salt off. |

Oh man, now everybody knows the secret of keeping a bike clean without washing it, just ride in weather extreams. Chem/Salts are worse than a bench grinder though. |

Hi Guys... I FINALLY got the Crispy Critter back in workig order. I put the regular seat on the low bike and now it is a little too high for my taste. Anyone got a LOW SEAT for a 2002 M2 they want to get rid of? I decided to keep the regular on it for longer trips but might want a low for tooling around town... I tossed mine. ALSO no word on the job in Milwaukee this week. I talked to them Monday morning and they said I passed the background check but the managers need to meet to make the final decision this week but still no word. I am resigning myself to the probability of driving cab this summer...and having to get a second job to pay for motorcicle expenses. Aaaaarrrghhh!!! Char |

I think Wisc only gives bikes 6 letters for personal plates, so some ideas: GASFYR HOTBIK HOTBYK BRNBYK BYKBRN BurningManBike (too many letters, but maybe as a plate frame) CHARRD TOASTY CRISPY FRIED2 CHRCOL IfYouHaveToAskICanBurnYourBikeToo (another plate frame slogan) (I think I'll stop now since she'll soon be a neighbor) |

WI only gives 5 letters for motorcycle plates. You can get 6 for auto & truck plates. |

(Mike is no longer here, this is his replacement, last seen Mike was heading westward on hwy-60 towards Rio to bypass the Madison Charbroiler (aka: Charlotte), after which point he may be found hiding out under a canoe somewhere in upper Minnesota next to a red brush chipper.)

That little thing in Fargo was too small to be a wood chipper, just a brush chipper, safer to be around, harder to get pushed thru. Got a relative with a big wood chipper, powered by a Ford V8 engine, got to be careful around that thing, get sucked into that one and you wouldn't have time to say ouch before you were mulch. Hey, I just realized that "Fargo" is 5 letters, could make an interesting bike plate. Wished I could have made it to the crudrun, sounds like it was another good time out there. OH well, back to my hidey hole:

Slimy Crud Run report. Speaking for myself, I meet up with a group at Brook Field Square mall. All total there were 18 riders in our group. We left at 9:00 and arrived at Leland somewhere around 2:30. I ate, looked at bikes, took some pictures, meet some new Buellers and then some of the newly meet Buellers rode with us on the way out. For me personally I had a heart feeling moment on the way there and back, you see last fall about a mile away from Leland on county road C I took a nice dirt sample and tested the strength of the farmers barbed wire fence. As crashes go it was one of the best you could ask for. No bodily injury and the bike had mostly cosmetic damage but was still ride able. I was on my Kawasaki at the time, thank goodness I left the S3 home that day. Any way the Slimy Crud Run was a great experience and I meet some new friends to boot. I may have to visit Madison a little more, we'll see how things go. |

Slimey Crud weather was perfect. Only downside was I met nice looking sun god type guy and noticed that he had a ring on his finger.... too bad I am an honorable woman. We went to check out the Natural Bridge State Park which is like half a mile north of Leland and then we took the Merrimac Ferry back to Madison. And I got to meet some of the buelligans from Milwaukee. Oh yeah, and Toni lost her dad. |
