Hey guys, I'd like to join the Hoosier Thunder Club. I live about 30 miles South of Ft. Wayne, so I don't know if it would benefit me at all to join you guys since you are based out of Bloomington. What do you all think? I'd really like to be a member of a local BRAG chapter but I don't think there are any around. Thanks... |

Fravel, as far as I know, we are the only active group in Indiana. Weather it would benefit you or not is up to you, I suggest you come to a meeting and see for yourself! I'm not so sure about riding tomorrow, it's not even supposed to get above 40 until noon. |

Motoboss....Are we riding over there for sure? If so I will ride down in the cold morning. It will be around 50 just after noon. If I don't ride I can't make it this weekend. |

Spc. Antoine J. McKinzie, a 2000 graduate of Pike High School, was patrolling Baghdad in an armored Humvee, McKinzie is the fifth soldier or Marine with ties to Indianapolis to die in Iraq. McKinzie served in the 27th Field Artillery Regiment in the Army's 4thInfantry Division and was on his second tour of duty in Iraq. He was last home at Christmas and had spoken to his family as recently as Wednesday. ................The service is on Tuesday April 11 at 9:00am. I am going for sure so if anyone wants to meet on the south side of Indy and ride up together that would be good. |

Jeff- Some new info on the XBRR if you haven't heard. from the "Roadracing World" site: Buell XBRR Production Delayed to Enable Product Enhancements EAST TROY, Wis. (April 11, 2006) – Citing ongoing investigation into the causes of the mechanical failures that forced the early retirement of four first production-run Buell XBRRs from their competition debut at the Daytona 200 in March and the development of upgraded components, Buell Motorcycles announced it will delay full production of its Firebolt XB12R-based race bike until late-April or early May. “We believe we’ve identified the root causes of the failures at Daytona, but we need to do more development and testing before we’re ready to go forward with the production run,” said Erik Buell, Chairman and Chief Technical Officer. “We want to make sure these bikes are turn-key reliable for privateer race teams.” The delay means the delivery of XBRRs to privateer race teams will not happen in time for the upcoming AMA Formula Xtreme rounds at Barber Motorsports Park and California Speedway in April. Buell said they may use the American Sportbike Racing Association/Championship Cup Series races at Road America held April 21-23 in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, for additional testing. “Daytona was a real test for the XBRR and the dealer-sponsored teams that entered the race,” Buell said. “We learned a lot and we’re refitting those bikes and developing solutions to the problems we encountered. We won’t begin final production of the XBRR until we’re confident we’ve got these issues sorted out.” The Buell XBRR is a limited-edition production racing motorcycle based on the Firebolt XB12R and designed exclusively for closed-course competition. It offers private racers a professional-level, race-ready, production-based platform. Buell will be producing a total of 50 XBRR motorcycles this year. |

Didn't get my entire planned route finished. Started raining when I got to Hwy 50 while headed south. So I just did the 135, 58, 446 loop. About 250 miles total, then total fluids change and gave it a bath. It's much happier now. |

I just talked to Jeff yesterday, he has moved up again. 2nd or 3rd now. Ok peeps! The next meeting is two weeks from today. As most of you know May 13th is "Demo Day" at the dealership, so there will be a BRAG booth and some assistance will be needed leading the group demo rides. We need anyone and everyone that is willing to help out with those two tasks to be at the dealership by 8:30 AM on the 13th. The meeting will follow as usual, at noon. Lets have a good turnout to support our dealer and our club folks. Ron showed me PDF proofs of our new patch. It turned out great! Huge kudos to Casey and Corey for hooking us up. Out of curiosity guys, could you post the logo on a private page on your website or send me a digital copy? Spring has sprung! Its time to ride! Jeff and Ron will be racing at St. Louis next weekend. I beleive there will be a group riding out there to watch. Ron can you fill us in? I'm thinking about coming along. For those of you that missed the last meeting we went to visit our new charity, Bradford Woods. It is quite a place! Lets start kicking around some ideas on how to support them. Thats all for now. Don't forget Homecoming is less than two months away! |

Yo, Yo! happy to see Indyblast back up again. Just a note to echo Pete's post. The meeting is in two weeks and we will be back from our trip to St. Louie for the AHDRA drags, which is next weekend, May 6 & 7. There is a group from the dealership riding over early Sunday morning to watch the finals. Inquire at the dealership if you are interested in going. It would be nice to see a group go over for the day and root on Jeff who is number 2 or 3 after the Dallas event. Demo Day, May 13th we will have a booth at the dealership to hand out information on our BRAG Club. Any one that can help out please contact Eddie, as he is starting a list, and yes, checking it twice. Hope to see all soon. Ride Safe |

Ok guys, Homecoming is less than a month away. Unfortunately I have surgery scheduled for the 24th of May, but I'm hoping that I will be 100% in time to go. Right now I'm planning on riding up there and back. Who else is going and have we firmed up our plans from before? |
