Duc_htr: You work with video/graphics right? Why not try applying at CNN or Turner? I would be able to deliver your resume to the HR Dept. |

Duc_htr, if you do come to ATL, check with Kdan. The guy he is renting the basement apartment from sometimes rents out his extra bedrooms. It is a cool place with a pool that is broken but suppose to get fixed in the next month or so. It is in Alpharetta. Good luck with your search. I will keep my ears open. Lightnindave... What kind of connection do you have to HR at Turner? All... I am gonna bust if I don't get back to the mountains soon! The past 5 weekends in a row I have had some sort of event (party/wedding) that has kept me outta the saddle. This weekend I am going to Florida and next weekend I am going to Texas. So much for Spring! |

Duc_htr - Sure come to Alpharetta and become a member of the He-Man Woman Haters Club...There's a bedroom available and the rent is seriously reasonable. The guy's got cats too and they're always fun to f**k with. I hear ADP is hiring. They've got my resume. Hey Stealth - ADP is hiring! Alpharetta on Windward Pkwy. |

Seems kind of funny to me! They insource everyone's payroll, HR and healthcare processing. How much funnier you wanna get? But it's a large IT corp. that is actually hiring. |

Stealthxb:"Lightnindave... What kind of connection do you have to HR at Turner?" None really. I do have access to our internal job posting website, so I could put your resume in the hands of the recruiter. |

Hey Duc, you could always move out here to Huntsville! We have great roads (well, not quite as good as north Georgia.. but they're good!). Then I can have another fellow Bueller around! Plus, there are all kinds of places out here to work... And I could have another buell to ride with. |

hey all....I've had my x1(first real bike) for about a year now and am just discovering this site. I'm just down the street from vortex so one of these days(if I ever get my ride back together again) hopefully I'll meet some of ya'll. LOL anyone know any decent mechanics? the dealerships are all booked up 2 weeks in advance so I decided to do the work myself and really hosed things up... |

Glad Mama is getting better B_S. Duc, I'm sure you can find something down here. What are you looking for? Cmgaviao, Welcome. We have a few talented individuals here that may chime in. We would be glad to meet you. I feel your pain Stealth. I have been working my butt off as well and have not ridden in a week or two. |

Pleased to meet you, Cmgaviao. We circle up at Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson at 6:30 on Thursday evenings to cruise to the Vortex, so we usually roll in about 7:00 or so. You should drop on by tonight. What kind of repairs are you doing? We have several wrench turners, and at least one hammerer. |

Cmgaviao We're at the Vortex most every Thursday night. You can't miss us if we're near the bikes, if we're not we're on the porch taking up most all the room. Everyone Sanchez and I are working on a little surprise for y'all...well, Sanchez is doing most of the work...I hate dial-up, I hate not having internet at the house even more! |

Made plans with the GF tonight and you know how they feel about getting swapped for the bike...but if I can break free I'll try to swing by tonight. Otherwise there's always next week. As far as the repairs go, it started out as simply replacing the leaking front rockerbox gasket. In putting things back together, my wrench didn't "click" and I popped the head of one of the bolts. (I should have stopped there...but I had this crazy idea about just putting the damn thing together like that and riding to the dealership and dropping it off and managed to kill 2 more bolt heads in the process.) I don't claim to be an experienced wrench monkey, but I've done most of the maintenance on my cars in the past (including changing a head). This only happened because the weather has been so damned good the past few weeks and I really want to ride. So, if anyone knows an honest(doesn't expect to make $100 / hour) mechanic that's not too booked up, I don't mind paying. (I'll just have to wait a bit longer before I get that new shifter and handlebars). BTW, where do you all get tires? (Message edited by cmgaviao on May 04, 2006) |

hey guys thanks for all the replys... I am currently working in a job where I am doing a lot of different stuff... My longterm experience is with computers, electronics... I was a cellphone technician for about 2 years and a computer support technician for about 5... although I don't consider myself a "brilliant" technician with PCs... Lately I have been working with Adobe Video suite editing video and audio... also photography and photoshop (self trained in photoshop but getting pretty good thanks to Lynda.com) A/V equipment(lighting, projectors, live sound, mixing boards) I am interested in staying with photography and video (or sound) but I need a full time job where I could continue with my schooling... I don't have heavy experience with what I am doing now but I usually pick things up pretty quick... My Dads place is off of I-85 and N druid hills? I think... close to B_S's work... staying close to there would be good... LDave I don't know about Turner... In a round about way it has something to do with my move... but its worth a shot... and a great location for me... as I would like to go to GATECH in the future... OFF TO A PRECAL FINIAL.... So I have this M2 tank. I'm trying to decide what color to paint it before I put it on. My first thought was orange with carbon fiber style lettering. Some have also suggested blue to match my gear. Here's how it sits now:

Haha, oops, I just noticed that I suck at the photoshop on that blue tank. Oh well, I'm too lazy to fix it, and you get the idea. |
