JUNE 2-4 HOMECOMING - Get the Details Head Home for FREE! If you've been there before, you know what BRAG Homecoming is all about ... hanging with Erik Buell and other Buell employees; eye-opening service seminars; an up-close look at the making of Buell motorcycles; meeting fellow Buellers from around the country and sharing their passion for their bikes; tearing up the sweet roads of southeastern Wisconsin; and spending a day or two at Road America* watching some of the world's top racers. But what you have NOT experienced before is getting all that for FREE! That's right, BRAG Homecoming 2006 is free of charge* for members of the world's coolest factory sportbike club. Just make sure your membership is current and show your BRAG card to participate. No more excuses. No more hemming and hawing. Just be there. * Tickets to the AMA Suzuki Superbike Doubleheader at Road America will be for sale through BRAG on Friday, June 2 only at the Buell Motorcycle Company in East TrYou'd better be prepared for a fast-paced, action-packed weekend when you attend Homecoming 2006, because it's going to move at redline-pace right from the get-go - and it won't slow down to let you smell any flowers alongside the road! Oh, and did we mention it's free? It is. (More on that later.) You'll kick things off Friday with self-guided factory tours through Buell's East Troy facility. And if you've never seen the personal skill and handiwork each employee invests in every Buell as they move down the line - even if you have seen it- you're in for a real treat. Seeing the step-by-step process of a Buell motorcycle being made instills a greater appreciation for your machine of choice. Guaranteed. Two service seminars will satisfy your thirst for knowledge about all things Buell and perhaps fuel a few informal conversations between you and the Buell employees during lunch in the plant's cafeteria. It wouldn't be Homecoming without a trip to Elkhart Lake for the AMA races at Road America. Since Homecoming is free this year, admission into Elkhart Lake will be required - at a special BRAG discount ($28 per ticket, per day). But once inside, you'll have access to a special Buell-only parking area close to the track and the nearby BRAG hospitality, where you'll find a place to relax with friends while you watch the high-intensity race on closed circuit TV, kick back with a few refreshments. Erik Buell will be on hand throughout the weekend, so let him know how much Homecoming means to you. And kick a few tires while you have the chance as well. Discounted tickets to the AMA races at Road America will only be available at Buell Motorcycle Company on June 2. Join the annual BRAG migration to Buell's birthplace and look forward to being home free! BRAG Hospitality at Road America * Tent - Come relax in the shade with other BRAG members and watch the race on the closed circuit TVs. * Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages * BRAG members free * Guests are $5 per day for the BRAG Hospitality as you can see, we NEED TO GO TO THE FACTORY on friday to take the tour and buy our tix at a discount. you will love the hospitality tent at the track. we used it at the gp. there it was a safe place to park your stuff and a very nice place to sit and chill. in case of rain, a dry spot ! free snacks, shade, cold water, tv monitors, etc.....it is the only way to fly. i'd say plan on six hours to get to the factory from indy since we're towing |

I say we should definately head up there Thursday. Thats a good 5-6 hour drive on a good day, depending on the traffic in Chicago and Milwaukee. Good news guys, I recruited a potential new member last night. His name is Matt, and he has a white 'Bolt like mine except his has blue lettering. I had heard of him around last year, and tried to catch him at work but missed him. I ran accross him last night and filled him in about HTC and Badweb. Hopefully he will be posting here soon. |

i will gladly share expenses, but do not want to take my car. i guess the bike thing is moot now that we don't have any way to tow the trailer, so i'll tag along with you if that is ok. |

I'll make a deal with ya. if we leave Thurs morning, I'll pull it. I'll let you guys strap your own stuff down cause I'm not real comfortable not using wheel chocks. I'll try to get mine in the back of my truck and then drive to Ryan's to get the trailer. DEAL? |

Sorry Ed, I will not have room in my truck unless my wife don't go with me. What I meant was are we going to leave at the same time like a convoy. If you Guys are worried about the trailer thats fine we don't have to take it. It would be best not to take it so I would'nt have to worry about anyone's bike getting tore up. Sorry I did not think to say something about the chocks I never used them. |

I'm kind of confused. Help me out here. Ryan is pulling the camper and his bike will be in his truck (I'm guessing)? Pete and Ed, do you need Ryan's trailer to get your bikes up there? I'll pull it and you can ride with me (2005 Silverado Ext Cab). Is this how it's gonna work? |

I was wanting to put mine on the trailer too because I have a topper on the truck and have a lot of crap to haul with the camper. I can just take the topper off though so it's not really a big deal. I should have no problem leaving on thursday just keep in mind that I will have a lot of stuff to get together and I can't pull all that fast so it will take me sometime to get there. |

What I plan on doing is leaving sometime early on thursday and driving up to set up camp in the evening. It would be nice if someone would follow me just in case but no one has to. Other than that I have no idea. |

I would have my wife take her truck and pull the trailer with the bikes but I can't afford the just the gas for the camper let alone both. (Message edited by raptor on April 01, 2006) |

Hey, Guys. Sorry to interrupt your trip coordination... Was kicking around custom paint schemes for the XBRR (not a big fan of the garage-sale-sign yellow) and threw together a "Hoosier Thunder" variation. Thought you may be interested in checking it out.

I really don't want to buy any $$. I never had to use them when I trailer my bike before. I strap mine straight up and down with it straped on all 4 corners and never had any problems. I had my bike and my dads on there that weekend that he layed it down with no problems(except for the crash). Hell, my neighbor used it to go to daytona last month with 2 bikes on it and had no problems. Whats the diffrence with putting it in a truck bed. I do it the same way |

That XBRR paint scheme looks great. Now if we can just get the bike. Last week we received notification from Buell stating they are not going to begin delivery of the XBRR's until sometime in May. Last night the store got hit by a tornado or very high straight line winds. Our large H-D sign over the front door is currently hanging by only the power line and a couple of our trailers ended up in the ditch. The race trailer crashed into the Marathon sign crunching a rear corner and destroying the right fender. Also, the red metal sculpture got knocked over missing a car by inches. Our power is now back on, but traffic signals in the area are still out. Fun! JS |

Jeff, sorry to hear about the damage. Thankfully it sounds like its not too severe. At least the windows didn't get blown out like the Regions Bank building here in Indy! That place looks like a bomb went off inside. |
