Dave, Did your group get there? I didn't notice any Iowa plates. Think I left Pine Bluff before noon, and left Leyland before 2:30 or so. | ||

Of course we were there! I run as dealer plate but there were 8 others with me that had Iowa plates on. We got to Pine Bluff about 11:30 and to Leland about 2:15. Man was it cold on Sunday morning when 9 of us left Waterloo to head to the crud run. We stopped in Dubuque to pick up three more riders and gas up. Made it to Pine Bluff about 11:30. First person I see is Dyna and his wife. He heard the forcepipe and knew I was in town. Met Roger and Mike. Dale Baker came over and said hi. Charlette came over and introduced herself. There were about 2-300 bikes there of all makes and models. We looked around a little and then went inside for a burger. By the time we were done with lunch the crowd had thinned to just a few bikes. Kevin from Dubuque had a map so we appointed him as the leader. We only got a little lost a couple times but finally made it to Leland. Ran into Marty from Sauk, he's down to only using one crutch! Got to see everyting from a VMax with a blower to a Bostrom replica race Ducati! The guys with the VMaxs put on a smoke show before they left. All too soon it was time to head back to Iowa. It was still cold and very windy. We stopped in Dubuque to drop off the guys from there and gas up for the final 90 miles home. We thanked Kevin for being our tour guide for the day and headed out. The wind was blowing us all over the road on the last leg home. Got home about 8pm all in all a great day. Gone 12 hours rode about 430 miles,no crashes this time,no breakdowns and everyone had a good time. -------------------- Ride to the edge! Hmmm, I think I was within 10 feet of you, might have even said hello. I walked across the street and said hello to Dyna and others, and to Charlotte, just didn't make the mental connection it was you. Not enough coffee that morning I guess. I tagged along with Dyna and Lake to Leyland. Next Spring I'll just look for the 'bolt or 9s with the dealer plates from IA.  | ||

There is also room to changes, additions, etc. It kinda sucks that the BRAG adventure & Road America races are at the same time. I really enjoy riding up to RA for the races. I've already put in my vacation request for June's trip. | ||

Dave, I am going to be looking to you and some of the others around here for some info on track days and racing come spring. I live in Kansas City and we have talked over the phone once when I was looking for saddlebags for the firebolt just before deal's gap in september. I keep reading on BWB and SacBORG about your penchant for racing and think I would like to get involved. I am currently just gathering as much information as possible to prepare for Spring. What I would like to ask of you is if you could maybe forward to me some information as to which club or organization you ride with as pertains to MAM or any other tracks that may be within the central states area. I have obtained info on the CMRA but the closest they get is Hallet in OK, which I plan on checking out, but I know you may have some more info that may be of use to me.
