Dyna . .. I thought you were the Warlord, or sumpin, of the Uke's chapter . . .it's why I joined, fergoodnesssake! I think everyone's a little tense, yes? and in need of a long ride. . . . I'm sure visitors are welcome at Brew City's meetings as well as the other Brag Clubs I've seen . . . . . . . |

Everybody take a deep breath, hold-it a bit, and then exhale. BREW CITY will NEVER become an "exlusive-members only" club. All people will be welcomed. However, we are a very specific type of club so there will have to be some requirements to become an "official" member, one of them being that you have a BRAG membership. That shouldn't be too hard to swallow. According to BRAG our official club consists of 4 people. The past 2 years we have been sort-a-kinda organized with much of the responsibility placed on Rick. That has changed since we decided to get more organized. We now have "elected" officals and are trying to get things worked out. This includes coming up with a communication system in which everyone can be notified of changes and events. Part of that is a newsletter and minutes of meetings. The minutes are my responsibilty. I will be doing them at every meeting from now on. The newsletter still needs a volunteer. Anyone? Bueller...Bueller? We have been a good club that enjoys riding very much. We do more group rides than most clubs that I'm aware of, and have a good ride schudule for this year so far. We all love to ride, and it WILL stay that way. The whole purpose is to have FUN. We are going to experience the proverbial "growing pains" while we get organized and get things running smoothly. Every member is important, don't feel left out. Just ask nicely, and we will try the best that we can to help. Jerry Secretary Brew City BRAG P.S. I stopped by Hal's last night to pick up the info. from Rick and I signed the sheet for the Buell card. |

Dyna . .. I thought you were the Warlord, or sumpin, of the Uke's chapter . . .it's why I joined, fergoodnesssake! Warlord, I like it Never officially joined is all. Nothing wrong at all with the club members. I have stated before they are a little clique & I stand behind that statement, but that doesnt make it wrong for them. They like it & thats fine. My issues with the whole deal resolve around the dealer, I have been lied to by the service dept & various individuals. This was confirmed by the Buell customer service dept & as a result I dont want to be associated with anything related to that dealership. Hals so far has been straight up & honest with everything. Wanted a tps reset & they had it done in 10 minutes & for a very minimal charge. My harley went down & I dropped it off in the middle of the night with a note on it. They took it in, looked it over, gave the insurance company an estimate & held the bike for about 2 weeks & you know what the charge was?? 0!! They figured treat the customer right & he will be back. I have since bought a number of items from them & will continue to do so. |

Dyna please define clique and how it pertains to us because I don't understand how we are clique as you say and then I can bring it to the next meeting and maybe we can change that for you. |

CJ . . . yer arm's gonna get tired if you keep boppin me on the head . . .and, shouldn't you be using an umbrella? Dana . . . . .seems to me that any group can be percieved as clique-ish, if one is so inclined, or if one has just met everyone . . . . as with so many things, we bring our own reality with us, yes? |

No time now but I will describe clique as it pertains later. I also stated nothing wrong with the guys in the club, perhaps you skipped over that part??? I brought up a point in 1 of the meetings about expanding the club & having it grow beyond the 10 members it has had for the last year. Don point blank said he didnt want it to grow that it was fine the way it is. You your self seem pretty open & friendly, but a few of the folks give the cold shoulder. My wife comes to the meeting & you think she gets a "hi how are you?" Nope, as soon as a couple of the women at the meeting found out she rides a Harley its the cold shoulder treatment. I personally find it humorous that with a club that has 10 members..ya ya I know your gonna say you have 20 or whatever, but I never see more than 10 ever show up, hell I think you had maybe 6 at the Elves gig...anyways with 10 members & pretty much everyone has a "board" position. Seems like a lot of ego & power trips going on. I dont know, maybe Im just reading it the wrong way based on my first impressions of a couple folks. Clique, yes. Outsiders are not felt real welcome at the meetings. I have had 2 other people tell me this, I will not give out their names, but they do post here quite a bit. BTW, if this is pisses anyone off, oh well. Im not in a very happy mood right now. Had my 2 month old grandson admitted to the hospital this morning with RSV, Im not exactlly sure what the hell that is, but supposedly it can kill. Gotta go & check on him right now. |

Dyna . . . . sorry you and others got cold shoulders . . . . I felt a little out of place myself, but figured, what the hey . . . . . as for growth, I think the club will grow, but if it doesn't, not muach of a loss . .. I'm in it mostly to hook up with folks to ride with, and, as you well know, my favorite rides are with 2 or 3 other riders I know well . . . . . . (I think you may have mis-heard Don, but I'm often wrong, as you know) sorry you're grandson is fellin poorly, Greg . . . . . I know we're ALL pullin for him, and for you |
