Just opening up a topic for another local BRAG chapter. Haven't been to one of their meetings yet, but considering that I'm just a short walk away I thought I'd stop in and see what they've got going on and work on getting a few more inter-club rides going. Plus, since one of the BattleTrax stops was there last year and will probably be there again this year just thought I'd open this page up a little. Okay, done deal. |

Buell Bash/BattleTrax weekend recap, Saturday was our annual Buell Bash, the weather was great! We had a bunch of riders take out our new Buells for a demo ride. The KC mob came up for the day. We got Jeff a new tire mounted up on his S3 while he was there, thanks for the Biz Jeff! Attendance was a little off from last year but I think it was just too nice of a day. Everyone was out riding! Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Our second BattleTrax event! Whhooo Hooo! The weather held out for us at last. Temps in the 70s! We started the morning at 6am to set up the course. Jeremy and Larry did a great job on the course. It was HUGE! 2 barrels and lots of very tight corners made it interesting for everyone. We had 44 riders,up 1 from last year but we had over 340 people thru the gate! The riders put in 502 runs by the end of the day so I think everyone got plenty of riding time. The course was big enough that we could get 3 or 4 on the course at one time, this cut down on the wait between rides. We had riders with sportbikes,YSRs,cruisers and dual sport/motards, no touring bikes showed to compete this year. The stunt riders, Team XMX and Kansas City's Most Wanted put on 3 great shows for the crowd. Those guys are just plain nuts! We had a vendors row with lots of stuff to look at and buy. We had Buell riders come from Mo,Kansas,Il,Mn,Ne and of course some of the locals from Waterloo in attendance! What a great day, everything went pretty smooth, I had lots of great help, even a few that didn't know they were going to help me(KCBill)we couldn't have done it without them. All the winners, including 7 year old Mason got a framed certificate to show off that they are the fastest. All the riders got one with their fastest lap time of the day. The winners also recieved a $100.00 gift certificate from the HD/Buell Cycle Center(I'll send yours with your helmet and plaque Sam). The big news(and no surprise to me) is that in the Sportbike class a Buell kicked ass! Sam, from KC ruled! The guy was an animal out there. I have to look at the time cards but I think he won by several seconds faster than anyone else in his class and was running close to the fast times set by the rider that won the Dual Sport/Motard class! Way to go Sam! You ROCK!!!! Well I have to go get ready for work now but I'd like to say thanks again to those that helped make this day possible, without you we couldn't do events like this. I know that lots of people probably think, what's the big deal, just set up some cones and there you go. Well, I want to tell you that it's a lot of work! I, and others put in 13 hours yesterday alone to make this event happen. Thanks to all the people that helped me. You're the best! Ride to the edge! Can someone kill this subsection. I know Suburban has a BRAG club, but they seem to be very difficult to get in touch with, they're never at the dealership when I'm in there (5 tries so far), they meet monthly at some off-site location/bar at some unknown time (when I've been told it was always followed up with "I think" ), and they don't seem to be on the web that I know of. So, let's just kill off this subsection. It can always be restored later on if someone wants to restore/restart it. Thanks. MikeJ (Right next door and no clue)

Dont worry Mike, the Ukes club is similar in that aspect. If you dont know someone already in the club you would never know they existed. Its not published or announced anywhere. I really think if it wasnt for boards like Badweb that Brag would cease to exist completely. |

Hello, I am in the Suburban club. I just recently found out about this page. Our leader is Scott Pease, scott.peace@camtronics.com. He and myself are both in the middle of divorces at the moment, so there hasn't been much going on. He is saying that things will get going again soon. Hope this helps. |

Joe, Thought I heard you guys were going to pop into a Brew City Meeting this year. Is the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Hal's. Be there before 7PM. We don't bite and you just may have a good time. Don't forget to bring your buds from Suburban. Oh yeah, good luck with the divorce. Got two of them under my belt so far and am counseling women on "Marriage for Fun and Profit." Doesn't pay well, but I get some really good dates. |

Last I heard, Scott was getting a meeting together but that is the last I heard. I have ridden with Brew City a couple of times. At the beginning of the season we did get together and decided to do a lot of rides with Brew City. Because most of the time no one showed up. By combining together It was hoped that there would be enough to make it worthwhile. The next Brew City ride is shown on my schedule, as Devils lake run, Sunday August 10. They normally meet at Hals around 10:00 am. I will be more than happy to post here when I get more info. |

Joe, Thanks for stopping in. Do you work at the shop there in town? You may have seen me ride past on either a white S2 or black M2 with a grey/black jacket and greyish helmet. I'm not sure if the Aug.10th ride is still on, I thought I saw a posting from Jerry/Blastin about something but can't find it right now. The next BrewCity meeting at Hal's is Tuesday August 12th. I'll ask in the other section when/where the next scheduled ride is. |

Hey Suburban... Check out the S.E.W.E.R. thread in StormFronts. We are starting to get some interest and have a tentative meeting/ride scheduled for next weekend. Read the posts, and respond which day would be best for you. Then during the week, jot down your thoughts on the venture and bring them with you to the ride. Oh yeah, and don't forget to bring a friend regardless of brand. All we ask is that they be good safe riders and be Buell Tolerant since even Buell admits we can't keep up in the straights. LMAO |
