Mike, if we get out of first gear on St. Helens THIS year, it'll only be because there's not a foot of snow on the ground! see you in Stockton FB |

Ferris I'm starting to wonder about that. The weather has been very nice this year so far and when ever this happens we end up with a crappy summer. Nothing but blue sky in the southern rain forest. Mike Snow? It hasn't been below freezing this Winter that I can remember. My bulbs are coming up. What gives? |

Gumby- Only his dad can do such useless skills. Cody on the other hand is going road racing with his self named Code Red Racing Team. Starting the third week in April he will be racing at PIR with OMRRA events (six in all). He will be running in the junior A division pocket bike class restricted to 7-9yr. olds with machines making 3.5hp.. His bike is a Polini 910 (color is red) that has a top speed of 38.5mph. Dad can verify that it's pretty fast when your 15 inches off the ground with 5" wheels. We have alot of practicing to do before the first race, but as Cody said he is going to give it his best shot. That's good enough for me so lets go racing. Mike the mechanic. |

Anyone going to ride tonight? I think I will pass the Starbucks on 23rd around 7:15, probably on a 'Busa, if anyone is up for it. If you all have another place in mind post it and I will probably find you. Mike - that rocks about Cody racing! |

I may have spoken too soon about switching my servicing dealer. Picked up the ST after the 6k service and grips install. Yes, I was in a bit of a rush to get out before getting rained on, so didn't notice the small yet obvious gouge on the right side of the tank just above the Triumph logo (down to the white plastic) and the cables from the lighting harness visible behind windscreen by that opening in the base of it. Sigh. Looks like tomorrow's ride will be out to Tigard to see what they say about this. Doesn't anyone care about their customers anymore???? |

Sportyeric, are you ready to come over to the rice side of things?? I've got a TL1000R for sale. For that matter, the wife's SV650 is up for sale as well. We've got some home renovations and maybe a new addition to the family in the plans, so I might be taking a few years off from the two wheeled side of things. |

Sorry to hear that Eric. I've said it before, and I'll say it again.... All the dealers suck!! They don't care about you! All they care about is making a buck! With few exceptions, the caring, friendly, knowledable motorcycle dealer some of us remember from the 60's are dead. Probably quite literally. (Dealey's excepted Stu) Am I negative, bitter, and generally pissed? F**kin A!! I've had two different dealers do things that could have ended my life, like not tighten the triple clamps, or not tighten the axel retention nuts. Lately,I called two dealers looking for a part that neither of them could identify. They both took my number and said they would research the part and get back to me. Did they? Hell no! Just tell the pain in the ass customer want he wants to hear and get him off the phone so I can have another espresso. I had to get the part number from a guy in England on another discussion board. This guy bought the parts micro fiche so he could find his own parts numbers. He could't trust the God damned dealers either. I've had it with this shit! When are we going to tell these assholes that we have had enough? whew......I feel better. Too bad Eric doesn't |

Hey Dave? Don't let the kids get in the way of riding eh? Take Don and I as an example... you'll need the release. Believe me! I'd keep at least one bike and share amongst yourselves. If you stiffle the things you enjoy, you may regret it. Okay, alright I have selfish motives... I haven't ridden with you for awhile! Guess it could be even longer now eh? |

Paul, move to Canada, buy a Buell and we'll take care of you, there are still retailers who care. Dave, are you crazy? How the hell are you gonna get away from the wife and kids, in your new mini van? I have a buyer for the SV, keep the TL, this way you always have a sitter. Don't tell Audrey I said this, your gonna need your freedom. Gootch |

LOL... Gootch, I'm gonna slug you in the arm next time I see ya. Don gets his freedom, right? He even lets me pass him every now and then. Man! Is that good for the ego on that little thumper?! Paul, Deeley's is the best in the West no doubt about it! Dave, Don wants to know how much you want for the TL. |

Buy a Buell? Move to Canada? Actually I wouldn't mind living in Canada. The first question.... Been there, done that, and I even have a yellow Buell t-shirt. Firmly on the Darkside despite it all! |

Dave, First of all, your (ex)baby is doing fine in the capable hands of the best damn motorcickle dealer around. That would be DEELEY'S HOUSE OF BUELL! Hey Stu.....can we talk about the Forcewinder sometime? Oh Yeah......Dave. Let me tell you, with the experience to prove it, that when you give up all your toys for: house, kids, dog, cat, fish...etc. It's very hard and sometimes takes (15 years) a long long time to get them back. And yes when you are driving that minivan (which incidentally is impossible to look cool in) and you need to confirm that you really are still alive, that bike, rice or not will still be able to wheelie at 100 kms+. Think long and hard Dude! Congrats on being married and the possible kid part is very cool. Harv P.S. Is anyone thinking of going to the Shark Club on Sunday March 9th for the Daytona Party. $10 to get in and that includes a free beer Did you hear that Eric! That will be my round! |

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Who knows, maybe they won't sell. I'll only take top $$ for them. Lorraine you can tell Don that I'm looking for $8500.00 for the TLR. If anyone's interested in the SV, it going for $6700. They are both in immaculate condition, as anyone that knows me can testify. I feel ok about selling them, I've somehow lost the passion a bit in the last year, my drivers licence is too valuable, and these new street racing laws up here are pretty stiff. I could just slow down.....well, no I couldn't. |

Ferris, to answer some of your questions posted on SACBORG. There is a place in McKenzie Bridge called the Log Cabin Inn (I think), that I stayed in last year. It was... shall we say... rustic. I can remember this place vividly - sitting on the back porch of the cabin with a cold beer and the sound of the Mackenzie River drifting by. It seemed like the perfect place to end a day of riding. Just south of there is a road that goes around Cougar Res and into Oakridge. If I remember correctly it was about 60 miles of twisty roads and about half of all the State Parks in Oregon. By the way, we only passed about 3 cars in that 60 mile section. I'm not sure if you already have a planned route but this road is one of my all time favorites. Side note: NO FUEL available between McKenzie Bridge and Oakridge. Anyway, I would highly recommend it for your trip north. Mike George may be able to give you some more info. I think his e-mail address is mginbend@yahoo.com. And for my riding buddies in the rain forest. I road with the Foothills British Bike Club last Sunday. 65 degrees, 165 miles and some pretty good roads. Lets see, a Yam SR500, a Honda 929, a Suzook SV (apparently every group is required to have one of these), a GS 550 and me. British Bike Club? Kinda reminds me of a Buell group I know. Matt |

Ferris- after looking a bit more I found the web site. Its www.logcabininn.com, imagine that. We went for one of the cabins but the teepee might be just the ticket. Matt |
