This is our current plan. We will be leaving early Friday, March the 31st. I will be trailering the Uly to Raliegh to pick up Jim and Rebecca and load up Jim's Uly. We will trailer the bikes across state to Topton NC where at least I am going to off load the bike and ride the Dragon. Kristi and those that want to get there will truck on to C3 Central 60 miles to the south. After one pass up and down the Dragon, we will ride the 60 very fun miles to C3 Central. We will enjoy Suches GA for the rest of weekend. Kristi and Pauletta are going to let Dave and I (Oh thank you, thank you) attack the roads (these roads are no joke, be careful) in the area for the first rides Saturday and Sunday. After the first round, we will meet up with the ladies at T.W.O. for the second ride. We will have to see what is going on at MB3 and make plans from there. With the ladies at least Dave and I will be taking in the sights and enjoying the group ride involved with the MB3. I do not know about Jim N., but I want to explore some of the Fire Roads in the area. The area is as traveled by sport bikes as it is by dual sports. Fire roads everywhere. I am going to see if those with Ulys want to explore them. We will ride Sunday morning and after lunch load the bikes on the trailer and head home. What we still have to figure out. Jim R is your wife riding with us in the Suburban? How many of us want to meet at the Dragon and ride? I hope to be there between 2-3pm. |

Rebecca and I are in for the Dragon. I need her on the bike so I have an excuse for being slow. I'll have my new Perillis on the Uly by then. I don't know how that will do on a fire road. But I might try it. I took the Blast out the other day in the dirt and it did OK with street tires. Which isn't to say the tires don't matter. Just that I'm not comfortable enough on the dirt to push it to where the tires do matter. |

In my haste to post this today, I posted under the wrong March Badness year! OK, I'm having a blond moment, but this is only after my Sheepdog decided to charge the neighbors cat through our living room window. Luckily neither animal was injured, but the window is another story. Needless to say, it's been an afternoon. To date I have received payment from the following: Jim & Rebecca Nance Hugh Odom Dave & Pauletta Dusterberg Brankin Brehmer As a reminder, please send your payment to Kristi or Carlos Suarez, PO Box 1076, Grifton NC 28530. The final payment has to be received by owner in 3 weeks. Pauletta and I still need info on drink and beer requests. We don't want to buy more than necessary, so please give us some feedback on this. Beer -- plan to drink?? -- what type do you like? Drinks -- caffeine free - diet - Coke/Pepsi? If you haven't sent me your cell number and want it added to the list so we can touch base with each other while traveling, please e-mail it to me at suareznc5@earthlink.net. As Glitch has said, only 38 days until MB3. Thanks, Kristi |

Jim -- the share per person is $59.73. I'll make sure we have some caffeine free drinks and feel free to bring something a little harder. I'm thinking about packing my blender!! Is your wife planning on meeting us at Jim Nance's house and ride with us to GA? Jim said she could park her car there for the weekend. Just let me know so we can talk about meeting time, etc. Thanks, Kristi |

Anyone coming to Suches and needs the directions to the cabin again, please e-mail me at suareznc5@earthlink.net so I can forward you the information. So far we have only 1-2 saying Yes to beer. There has been a request for diet drinks, leaded drinks and caffeine free drinks. Anything else? Jim Nance -- looks like it might be you and me in the kitchen since Pauletta has moved to IN and won't be coming. I'm thinking something easy like pancakes, french toast with sausage. We'll see what strikes me at the grocery. I'll bring coffee, sweetners and creamers for those of us who need that extra kick in the AM. I'll also bring chips & salsa and probably some crackers, cheese and pepperoni. Most of this I have at home. The food/drink contribution should not be much from each person. I'm so ready for March Badness. Looks like Brankin will be trailering with us as well. So we'll load here, then Jim's Uly and then stop in Greensboro to pick up Tonya. Off to the dragon! Until then, Kristi |

It's water and decaf-diet drinks for me. As far as breakfast is concerned, if it's breakfast, I'll eat it! Pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs, just no brains or goetta please. Chips, dips, chains, whips, er, strike the last 2, chips, and dips are cool with me. On the beer front, I'll drink some but with what will be going on, I won't be knockin' many down. Dave |

Kristi - I can do pancakes. Pick up a small bag of self rising flour, eggs, milk, and butter and I'll whip them up. Or if you have your own recipe that will work to. And if we have eggs for the pancakes, I can scramble some for everyone to. We made your black beans again last night. Three of us licked the pot clean. Those things are SO good. Oh, I can't eat Syrup. I like pancakes plain, but if you can think of something good to pour on top of them, pick that up if you would. I'm thinking perhaps strawberries or something like that. BTW, it will be Rebecca's birthday the Wed before we go. Know any easy ways of doing a cake which don't involve hauling a lot of stuff to Georgia? |

Ayden -- got you covered, diet-caffeine free for you! Jlnance -- my recipe for pancakes involves a box and following the directions! As for the toppings, are you referring to fresh fruit or the canned fruit? Be glad to pick up either. Glad you are enjoying the Black Beans and Rice. It's one of my favorites. As for a cake, I'll come up with something. Maybe the cheesecake sampler like we did for Pauletta. Southern -- there's always next year. We might need 2 cabins next year at this rate! |

I am pretty open to just about anykind of foods, just no caffeine for me either. Tonya is a Cocoa-Crispies kinda breakfast person. Don't forget that Helena is a small town about a 30 minute beautiful ride from TWO, a little closer from the camp. They have a ton of resteruants, and the grill at TWO's is bangin eats! MY BIG DELIMNA-I know that you all want to go to the Dragon on friday. Are you going to trailer your bikes up, and then unload. Or are some of you going to ride there, and then on to Suches? I, personally, want to send as much time in the area around TWO as possible. Would also like to try to find my turn signals I lost last year, sorta starting a memo wall! JIM |

Jim - Jim Nance, Carlos and Brankin will be trailering together. Not sure that Brankin will "do the dragon", but Carlos and Jim want to make one pass up and then down. After that they will ride to Suches. While they ride the dragon, I will be heading to Suches in the Suburban. We can always just meet at TWO later in the day/evening. Tonya is welcome to stay with us or ride with you. This is a "do what feels right" weekend. No hurt feelings here! I'll throw in a box of cereal as well! Already got milk on the list. Not sure if this helps your dilemma, but so far that's the plan as I know it. Of course, it's always subject to change! Kristi |

If things go well with my dad, I'll know more tomorrow PM, we'll meet ya'll @ the Crossroads if that works? I'm hopeful that all three of us will be rolling out of Pumpkin Center sometime Friday. I got Jim's mobile# so if we're there he'll know -- although he doesn't seem to answer text messages :-) G2 |

G2 - I've no idea how to send text messages on my phone. I do get them though. To be honest, my cell phone habits drive people nuts. I turn it on about once a week to see if I have any messages. Less in the winter because the phone doesn't work if it's cold. So you're taking both kids down with you? Your son looked like he had a good time in Daytona. |

Hey Jim, Yes, if things work out all of us will ride over -- I'll know soon. We need to do a class on messaging when we get together again :-) He had a great time in Daytona. I wanted to start back to NC a lot sooner than we did. We gave Daves & Penny a ride and as soon as Dave told him that Erik was coming to Nick's place I was stuck! G2 |

Countdown to Badness....How's everybody doing? Getting ready? Weather permitting I'm planning on leaving early Friday morning and hoping to get to the Dragon about noon. I'll hang out there, get lunch, and make a couple of runs until I meet up with the group, then follow ya'll to the cabin. Anybody else riding up? I'm looking to go for a long ride on Saturday and get good and lost in the mountains. Mountainrider was planning on showing a route but he's out of commission. It's gonna be fun. |

Hey Everyone, well I guess I am going to March Badness. We had some scheduling issues that we had to overcome. And thanks to the sacrifices my wife is making, I am going to be going(Although after the rusty ride I had this past weekend, I will not be chasing Erik Buell or any other rider through the corners), at least until I put some practice and New sneakers on the Bolt(which will have to be postponed for a while). Anyway, I need to get up with Dave, and see what he needs for the trip, and to see what times and where we will meet. Larry |

Oh, and theres a decent article in the Cycle world about a ride that Peter Eagan did on a Ulysses. Doesn't talk as much about the bike as he does the Bluegrass stuff, But what he says is good. He did have a problem but it was minor and he said Erik Buell assured him it was a problem with the first 40 Ulysses that left the factory and is fixed on all subsuquent bikes. Larry |

Rubberdown - Mike, I will be trailering since I have to get the barge out of the dock, I might as well save the tires. I hope to be at the Dragon about 2pm. That will give me time to make one run up and back and then the 60 beautiful miles to the cabin before dark. I hope the weather holds. Zxzer04 - Larry, too cool you can make the run. When Kristi is on board the bike, you will have no problem sticking with me. I still ride at bit of a clip, but it all must be smooth and mellow. I actual love riding with Kristi. It's fun to kick back and enjoy the ride with someone, especially her. |

Jim, Carlos; Hey Guys, I will have a somewhat large and somewhat heavy part that I need to get to Mark Bench (Sportymark). I can bring it to Carlos's on the V-Rod Thursday night. Any possibility of getting it to Mark somehow? Possibly leaving the part at Jim's house when we pick him and his bike up? And then after MB3 Mark can pick the part up from Jim's? Or ??? Any ideas? Thanks, 1313 |
