This isn't Buell specific, but I'm not sure how many of you have heard of this riding group, the Patriot Guard Riders www.patriotguard.org This group of bikers rides to escort funerals and honor fallen soldiers at their funerals and to help peacefully shield grieving families from protesters. I'm a member and thought I'd pass this along in case anyone else is interested. This is a nationwide group. For California area Buellers if you are interested. There is a ride scheduled for Monday, March 20, 2006 to honor USMC Lance Cpl. Bunny Long of Modesto, California. If you are interested, check out the website for the Patriot Guard Riders. Staging for the Monday event is 0900 to 1030 at the IHOP, 2098 W. Orangeburg Avenue, Modesto, CA 95350. If anyone else in the Sacramento area joins the group and wants to ride down early Monday morning, send me a PM. Brett} |

Hi all of you - My husband and I are both Army Vets (we actually met overseas!) and both appreciate VERY MUCH what you all do. My husband has had the opportunity to ride with the Guard, and also be a part of a funeral detail where the Guard was used here in Denver. Thanks so much for all that you do - we Soldiers all really appreciate it! |
