I made it down here. I'm in Ocala and I'll be back over to Nicks and Daytona tomorrow morning. I'm gonna grab the tent from Nick's and set it up. Now ya'll be careful on the way down. Seriously, I lost count of how many HP, Local Police, and Sherrif I saw on the road, on the interstate. When you hit 95 in FL be careful of the uneven pavement. The HWY Dept had a sign up warning bikers of it. The KOA exit is on I-4, exit 114. Nicks is 111, Saxton Blvd. Take the last 111 exit, I believe 111A, it loops around onto Saxton and heads east. About 2 miles down the road on the right is Alladin Dr and Nick & Sammies is down on the left hand side. I'm sure you won't miss that. If I don't get there early enough to set the tent up before I go to Daytona, I'll come back and have it set up before the BBQ. Ya'll be safe and I'll see you when you get here. |

Hey Guys, When we get to Daytona, let's stop at a Wal-Mart and get some yellow, blue and black spray paint and paint all of our bikes to look like XBRR's. If just one of us is successful in exchanging our bike for the XBRR that is on display at the demo rides, we will have enough to replace everyones bodywork... Maybe some duct tape will be in order for Rubberdown's bike and mine to make them look like XB's... Just an idea... Spike, My best guess at the moment is that it is not more than 4 hours. Maybe more, maybe less. Who knows what else I will come across by the time we are ready to begin... Anybody else get their new Fuell today? Look at the picture of the throttle bodies in the lower left corner of Page 8, and imagine twisting the throttle and when you peer down into the throttle bodies seeing a piece of paper inside that says 'Hi Don!'. What is this all about, you ask? Remind me to tell you sometime... (Hope I don't have to pay a royalty to Court to use that line...) Some of you may have already figured out who the Don is that is being referred to, but let me tell you - the plan worked - BUELLtifully! Gotta go get rested for my early morning Mountain Dew fest... 1313 |

How to know you're getting old:
And that doesn't include the eye drops. But hey, 100 years ago I'd be dead. And now I just have to take pills and I can effectivly double my lifespan, so it's not such a bad deal. As long as I'm looking on the bright side of things, I noticed the other day, after I spilt rice on the floor, that I was stepping on the gains, because I couldn't see them. And I thought, hey, this is cool, my woman will always be beautiful, becase I won't be able to see the wrinkles. And speaking of women, The Girl found the pill box. The blue pills in the bottom are decongestants. But she decides they are Viagra. It was funny. For me at least. She is trying to happy and supportive, but I can tell she really isn't thrilled about sending me off to bike week with a bunch of guys. See you all tomorrow! |

The blue pills in the bottom are decongestants. But she decides they are Viagra. Hmmm...My first thought at seeing them thar blue pills was that they were Viagra...Well, either that or Valium (don't ask me how I know - embarrassing story with the week old wife of one of my best friends best friends...). Let me be the first to ask, does one really need Viagra in Daytona Beach? Jim, if it makes 'The Girl' feel any better, all the married guys are on the catch and release plan...with the only stipulation being the 'release' of what's caught to me! Quit posting so I can get some shut-eye before 4:30! 1313 |

Its late, but I am finally done. I hate it when a computer program does act right and you have to look at every character in the file to find the error. Three days worth of searching but I found it. all the married guys are on the catch and release plan Hum, I don't think I can catch anything anymore, but if I do when am I suppose to release?? Larry - Maybe next time. I hope you had fun with the family in Orlando. I'm going to sleep so I can wake up bright and early to look at sunshine in the morning. |

Well, my bike at least looks like it went do Daytona this week:
. . . but no, it will be hiding in the garage for the weekend since I'll be out of town. Hopefully when I get back on Sunday I'll be able to watch the race on DVD. For those of you who rode down- Bring me some XB-RR swag! |

Home. Awesome weekend! The XBRR looked great while it lasted. Great times with the guys riding down to and hanging in Daytona. Pete and I left on our own this a.m. as we were staying at a differnt place than Nance, Carlos, and Brankin. We flew hom. 9 hours, including an hour lunch at Cracker Barrel, from our hotel in Deland to Southern Pines. Lotta time on I-95 at 90-100. Tired. |

U4euh, won't nobody faster coming up I-95 today than that Springer and Warrior. Just another Pete/Mike ride. I think we need an intervention. The Hog ain't quick but it will roll. At one point Pete said "we just past two radars". I said "where". Then I told him don't worry, nobodys gonna pull a Harley, their too damn slow. We got to Southern Pines Pete says, wanna ride to Morrow Mountain. True. |

Even though it is not quite in the best focus, I think this is the coolest picture I got all weekend...
I got a lot of other cool pics, so this will just have to tide everyone over until I get a chance to shrink 'em and post 'em. 1313 |

It was a great trip. It was great to get home. I'll write more later when I'm not at work. My favorite picture from the weekend:
I should point out that I require 2 hands to lift this bag. I tried and failed to do it with one. |

Larry, I'm sorry to hear that. You and your family take care and God Bless. Everyone, I made it home safe. I walked into the house in Ocala and my wife looked at me and said, "I don't even have to ask if you had fun". The grin is still on my face. Jim, can you email me the full size copy of that photo? Thanks. Carlos, I need to work out getting your trailer and tent back, you too Brankin. Oh, when I went to pick up the stuff this morning, the Icehouse wasn't there. Sorry. As for photo's, I have too many to claim a favorite, but I'll share two more: This one, a moment I have been looking forward to just as much as meeting Erik:
This one, well, I'd get one of these but the wife would kill me.

Jim (Rainey), The pics you keep posting really whet my appetite! I can't wait to see the bike done. Jim (Nance), I thought that, for sure, your favorite pic would've been the pic of Mike (Rubberdown) at our first gas stop... Andy, I was so dehydrated from the track that I didn't have any desire to drink beer that night until I had at least half a dozen Pepsi's. Hmmm, that might be why I didn't sleep that good Sat. night. When I was up for some beer I had forgotten all about the Icehouse being in the next room. I guess that just goes to show what affect exposure of the sun can have on someone. I'm kicking myself now - How could I have let so much, GREAT beer go to waste? Good thing I got some on the way home from work tonight... I'm working on shrinking my pics right now and will post a bunch in the C3 adventures section ASAIC... 1313 |

Thanks guys I had to start over on the tank. Last time you seen it it was blue, then I read the 'Pegasus Sticker' thread. Got me to thinking, I really, really liked that tribal design Peg... So I sanded it back down, and got this: . . . . . .
Hard to take with flash, that chrome rattle can stuff is nice!
So I turned the flash off, hope you can see it!!!
Tomorrow the coat of Transparent blue goes on the tank and forks, hopefully reassembly will start on Wed. |

My reaction to the 1st post: . . .. . . .. . . . . . . Then the second, you should have let us hang out there a while, thanks for the compliment. You don't have to steal it, if everything works out for ya, you'll see it soon enough. |

I posted a pic of Court and Erik at Nick's house. That was a great picture but it pales in comparison to Jim and his spark plug.
Home sweet home. Here is Camp C3 Deltona.
