Just a starting point. -Vallejo has a Brag group, and they were the first in the Bay area. -Freemont has a Brag area, I believe. -Modesto Buell, and McGuires Buell are involved with Buell Enthusiasts. -Santa Cruz used to have a BRAG group. We all seem to meet and congregate at ASBN the first Monday of the month. American Sportbike Night.com |

REX for the sake of keeping my feelings about this in check, let me just say I have been in touch with terry, dustin, honore and thom and finally with a written letter to BRAG. They have lots of good intentions I suppose but no BRAG activities have ever come of it. I have put it behind me now and will let me and my wifes BRAG membership expire. Scot |

S'cuse me Buellers, Come March John "99X1" and a beemer buddy and I plan to trailer our bikes to Encinitas to begin a two week California riding holiday. Can we tug on yer coats a minute for some riding information? Anza Borega area and PCH are must do's. What's the Angeles Crest and 33 north of Ojai like in March? Snow, salt, sand? I've only been on them as late as December in the past, and encountered no mess. Was I lucky? Onward north up the PCH, camping as we go. Plan is to spend a few days at a time camped at some of the hot spots to afford unladen day rides in the area. Big Sur Pfieffer, Big Basin area, Mendocino etc. Would love to hear any local travel/road condition/route tips from California riders. And hey, if you've got the time and want to just SHOW us yer favourite ride... knock yerself out! best, Lornce

There is no Bay Area BRAG. Only local dealer chapters. At the present time, that is all that can be offered thru BRAG. Thru your own dealer. Sorry, that you feel that Vallejo is not doing anything. Most dealers are not doing anything with Brag. Hog yes, Brag, no. thom and vallejo are very interested in Brag and Buell, but a brag club is up to the elected people to run. The dealer is just a sponsor. It is the members club. There is ASBN. American Sportbike night. No dues, no rules, etc. We are a place that you can come and connect, get information. We are not a club. We would like to see a Bay area Brag. There are not enough Buellers at a dealer to really make a local chapter fly. Not in the bay area yet. But a Bay are brag, sponsored by all dealers could work...But that doesn't fall under the current Brag rules, and we are okay with that. This is a place for the Bay Area Brag groups to use to post events, or keep all updated. Sorry you are going to let your Brag membership drop. I have both Brag, and Hog. Do I really do anything with them? no, not really. The califoria ride, etc. I feel that to have a group you need members to belong. Then it is up to the organizers to keep active. |

Please check my profile - I'm trying to round up some fellow Buellers and get a few local rides together - an informal Brag - a very new group - kinda like SF's style - informal - but always wanting to be busy. If your in the Bay area give us a hi! One thing we all have in common is our love of ridding our Buells! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

I think for the time being, American Sport BikeNight does it for me. I am a Brag member, but for what? The mags I guess and because I am supporting my ride choice. Cheers all Bay Area Buellers... |

American SportBike Night is this coming Monday, March 1st. I just got off the phone with Delvene Manning, daughter in law of Denis Manning of Bonneville Salt Flats fame. Denis is bringing his new streamliner to American Sport BikeN on Monday March 1st! He'll be talking about his event, which can be viewed at http://www.SpeedTrialsbyBub.com Please spread the good word about American Sport BikeN, try to make it and view not one, but two new land speed racing motorcycles. The streamliner is scheduled to try and beat the 340 MPH record, and there is also another one coming. On the agenda is the Single Cylinder motorcycle night which has been scheduled, but this is new information. Bub, Delvene, and maybe Rocky, the pilot will be at American Sport BikeN to answer questions, and discuss the newest World Land Speed Record attempt on a motorcycle. Bub's event is a motorcycle only event sponsored by both the AMA and the FIM. Fireman Jim, you really need to be at this one. Call me if you need or want directions, or any other information I can provide. View our site at http://www.AmericanSportBikeNight.com and we have a YahooGroups forum at http://www.groups.yahoo.com/americansportbikenight March 20th, I'll be at Alice's for brunch. Alice's has a new "Back Room" that's available. Woz... 510-483-8858 home 510-504-6107 cell I just received my USFRA 2004 membership card, and 2004 patch in the mail. I guess I'll be spending two weeks in Wendover in September! |

CALLING ALL SAN FRANCISCO/BAY AREA BUELLERS! summer is finally here (80+ degrees in san francisco! whoda thunkit?) and i'd love to scrape together all (or as many as possible) of the san francisco/bay area buell owners for a sunday morning ride... i just put another 150 miles on my m2 this morning and i think it would be great to do it in a snarling pack of bad weather... my usual route runs over the golden gate, through the ggnra (hwy 1, mt. tam, ridgecrest blvd., whatever) to point reyes station (where i eat a hearty breakfast at the station cafe) then spend a few hours tearing through marin county before heading home. anyone interested? |

I know I'm a little late for this, but I just got my '03 XB9R and am looking for other Buell riders in the Bay Area. I live in Benicia, and got my bike from Dustin. Is there anyone else around? I've just been riding alone for a few weeks now. Check out www.pashnit.com they have great ride locations! Email me @ johnschris@sbcglobal.net I would be interested in helping with any Bay Area Buell events. I know time is running out here, but it's worth a shot. |

Who's around the Moffet Field(NAS) area of the bay area? Could have a 30 day working trip into there. Bry of course I would be bringing the S1. Just looking for a heads up. Places to stay, avoid, good eats... and as a side note I hate long stays in motels. |

Well, I live about 45 minutes north, but there isn't any BAD places to avoid. The whole area is nice. It's the silicon valley. Let me know if you're interested in riding. |

There are a lot of Blastards here in Cali and yet very few of us have met one another in person. Here is your opportunity to get a good set of rides in, meet the folk/friends you have been conversing with over the net and share riding stories, and enjoy the sharing of a passion we all have in common - Buell. Last years ride was a lot of fun and the roads and folk where awesome! Truely an adventure you'll remember! The twisties are calling your name - can you think of more fun filled reply?! Heres your chance to compare notes and make friends, and this is California after all - a place known for great roads - our mission is to find them! Bring your ride, make some friends and enjoy a great time! San Louis Obispo is the meeting point - join us - Ed, Scott, Erik, James, Eric, Saro and Lotti, Ryan and his lovely significant - the origionals plus already! So join us in some fun and create some memories to recall. Let the ride To SLO Part Deux Begin! Disclaimer: This ride is in no way associated with Buell, the BADWEB, or any of its organizers. This is a voluntary gathering of fans of the Buell Blast. No one is leagally responsible for another on this ride or gathering - we all agree that we are responsible adults in charge of our own behavior, and that a safe and sober ride is our own responsibility and expected of us. Housing, feeding, and personal care is each our own responsiblity. Showing up for this voluntary event will be a sign of accord of the above statement and will be taken as acceptance of such. That said: Please make sure your bike is in good working order, that you are in good working order, and that you are prepared for any contingencies that may occur (a cell phone and Brag Roadside Assistance Membership would be a great idea, any tools you feel you'll need, etc.). I will reserve a small block of rooms (8 rooms are reserved at the Travel Lodge - 1825 Monterey St., (805)543-5110), however, such rooms will be shared (unless you bring your significant other - that counts as sharing - ;0)) and any other lodging arrangements will be your own responsibility - so if you want your own room - you'll need to arrange such. The Idea and goal of this event is to meet and share a little time together having fun and enjoying a ride! Each of us may participate as much or little as they please, however, thanks to those participating so far it looks to be a promising start to a fun event! Hope to see you there and remember - ride your own ride! Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |
