Pics are from a few years back (okay, so 1999 or 2000 was more than just a few years back...) at a Buell/BRAG (regional) event in Detroit. Now this is my kind of S1... Apparently 'The Man' dug it too... Happy (early) Halloween everyone, 1313 |

Regarding the condo in Daytona, I talked with my pal Jeff last night while having a couple of beers. Without relaying the entire conversation, I can say that nothing regarding the condo is concrete. Jeff says his *friend* always holds out until the last minute to let Jeff know anything. In fact, Jeff is not sure whether he will be able to make it to Daytona this year or not. The standard line 'There are always rooms available...if you have cash...' was mentioned once again. So either: 1. Once again, Daytona will be an Adventure (with a capital A). OR 2. Maybe Sammie (Vegasbueller's better half) is serious about people still staying at their digs. OR 3. Sleeping on the beach will be the order of the week(end). OR 4. Daytona 200 camping OR ??? 1313 |

Wow - So quiet Mark - That cover looks good. You're next mission, should you choose to accept it, is to replace the missing rear cylinder on that bike. You can see right where it would go. |

Wow - So quiet And the crowd goes mild... I guess everyone is resting up in preparation for Daytona and March Badness 3... From my (H-D) desk calendar at work...funny that I was there today as today was my first day serving jury duty... 1313 (Message edited by 1313 on February 21, 2006) |

1313 - Did you find a present on your back porch? Question of the week. Has Buell called your house lately? I love Buell! (Message edited by M2nc on February 21, 2006) |

Hello,Its Webe, hope everyone is doing fine.I'm ok and work stinks, but I'm making plans to go back to school. If the world has a A-hole then I work there, right in the middle of it. Oh yea John had Slip-on's and a air box put on the Sporty, cant tell him anything now, guess I got to go ahead and get the ball rolling to purchase a XB12.But it will be fun chasing him don in the curves on the Blast. Although I could get 1/2 of a XBRR engine and have a Monster Blast with a HEMI.But it will still be just a Blast. The Dyna will remain the same with only creature comforts no matter what John does. For now I'm building the Blast and the Dyna a new Rain Hut. Until next time,Later all. webe |

i do not know that Buell would call my house, but i would be perfectly Happy if they called to give me free stuff.... does not even have to be a bike maybe just some heads off an XB, or a extra Swing arm for the Blast.... |

Mark - Perhaps an XB wheel: If they can do that to a vrod, you can do it to your sporty. :-) |

Don't they say the eyes of justice are blind? Maybe that's why I can't see anything above. But here's a pic of a XB front wheel on a Sporty (and I know Mark has seen this bike, too)... 1313 |

I actually Sat on that bike.... I like it...But I would do it alittle different, some Olhins shocks, rearsets, maybe a XB matching rear wheel...then toss on a Small turbo.... |

What a (Buell) day... Finished Jury Duty this morning. Got Federal Tax Refund in today's mail along with the latest issue of the Enthusiast. Interesting Daytona to do list: Looking closer I am thoroughly bummed out by the last sentence in the XBRR entry... Since I had the rest of the day to kick around I made myself go to the evil empire - NO, not the same one you're thinking - Harley-Davidson of New Bern, to get some more parts that I need. Found out many interesting things in my visit. Most of the people who pissed me off are no longer there (but the same person owns the dealership), the new parts guy is a vast improvement over the old one, they had a part in stock that Shelton's in Goldsboro didn't, and they have a service tech. that moved down from Pennsylvania that owns a '99 S3-T. When I asked him about riding with other Buell's he said he'd like to but, as those of you who've 'been there' know, he mentioned that he doesn't have much free time (even though the dealership isn't open on Sunday's or Monday's...). I got the latest H-D/Buell update E-mail from Germany (that I occasionally forward to others that I have E-mail addresses for) and I thought this picture was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time: My guess is he's about to get lapped... Typical H-D rider of today - brings a knife to a gunfight... It can go on and on, but I will quit here. Also stopped at Books A Million and picked up the latest Road Racing World with the article on the XBRR. The actual magazine sure beats the color photocopy of the article that I was given. It's great to see favorable Buell press. If the reliability of the XBRR is as touted in the article, then the Daytona 200 victor will be all about the numbers. OMG, has Buell finally made a 'spec. bike'??? 1313 |

Hi guys, I am sorry to say that I will not be going to Daytona or March Badness. Unforseen medical expenses have put us in the absolutely no money at all. I wish I could go, but as you all know my kids come first. Larry |

They SHOULD make it available for demo rides. If you bring your race license that is. Can you imagine the publicity that would generate? BTW, what exactly is a race license? Does it come from the government or some sanctioning body? |

Mountainbiker90 - Welcome, I did the Mapquest thing to see what part of the state you hail from. I believe you are just west of Charlotte, correct? If memory serves me, Tilley's HD/Buell out of Statesville has a BRAG chapter and in the past were very active. I do not know too many details but there may be more in that group closer to you. We here at C3 are a spread out bunch with the core group from central North Carolina (Raleigh-Cary, Fuquay Varina, Pinehurst-Southern Pines) to the coast (Grifton, New Bern, Jacksonville). We have two events listed above in the C3 adventures folder that are going west. The closest is the ride to Morrow mtn for the C3 Junior ride. I hope you can join us. |

Mountainbiker - I see you have a 9R and live a bit west of here. Look for Rubberdown & U4euh on this board. They are reasonably close to you, and fun to ride with. Rubberdown also has an R. I think it's a 9 as well. |

Hey MtnBiker, look forward to meeting you. I'm a road cyclist. Racing this weekend in Greenville SC and the Spring training series. It's gonna be ruff. Larry, sorry you can't make the trips, but there will be many more. All going to Daytona: sounds like the deal is somewhat back on track at Vegasbueller's place. |

Mountainbiker90 -- welcome! You have stumbled upon a great group of guys (and women too!). You can always follow the "goings on" with this group here. The folder you found first is new which is why there is no information in it yet -- sorry! As M2nc said, this is a very spread out group, but they manage to ride together as often as possible, whether it be 2 or 10. Take a look at the past adventures and you will see several members having fun. Kristi |

Washington is only 25 miles or so from our house! I'm sure Carlos and Dave know all the backroads. Maybe this will motivate him to finish our floor tonight after Basketball Trophy Night! Kristi |
