I am coming into town on the 25 of november. I will be in Belleville ill for the night, saturday heading to effingham ill for a wedding, then sunday back in town. Anyone want to meet up for a drink on friday night. The only plans I have are to stop by and see my old bartender at the Hustler club in washington park other then that I am pretty much free. sunday I am having brunch with some old friends from when I was stationed at scott afb, but free after that. |

Josh my trip has been cancelled for november due to some unforseen finances. I am planning a trip down there this spring or early summer. I will be hauling the bike down there to do some riding. I will contact you when it comes around. Hopefully I can meet up with you guys to do some riding. |

Hi all. I totaled my 04 XB-12R 3 weeks ago and I bought it back from State Farm. I may try to rebuild, but I'd also consider selling it for $1500 OBO. It's at Gateway H-D in South county. For details on damage, call me at 314-703-0585. Ted |

Bob, Thanks for asking, but I'm embarrassed to admit that after 22 years accident free riding, track days, MSF instructor duty, and riding the most powerful bikes available, the Buell bit me hard. Going into 2nd gear under hard acceleration front tire leaped up - nothing unusual, but this time it looped over on me. No alcohol, just big twin/short wheelbase I guess. I'm still wondering if maybe I hit a patch of gravel and the rear spun up, upsetting the balance. It happened fast, but landed on my . I broke my right thumb breaking the fall, sprained the left and got bad roadrash on butt. Roadrash almost gone, hand in cast for 3 more weeks after surgery. |

Jeez...It's a bitch not being able to use a thumb...Hey, most all of us have been there, done that and are just glad you're not hurt any worse...Isn't it just amazing how quickly it happens?...One moment everything is just fine and the next...Keep in touch... Bob |

Apparently not, Josh but I just went into my profile and changed it so that I can receive email responses to my posts...Hope that takes care of it...What I called you about the other day was that we were looking for a good breakfast brunch location on the east side that was less than the $17.95 Pere Marquette Park is not getting...Thought you and Mariabelen might know of one...Woof has been kind of down and out with some kind of respiratory thingy so I thought we might ride over somewhere closer to him... Thanks, Bob |

Funny, I've had a good breakfast there, but I don't remember it being that expensive. Snack on pretzels until Fast Eddies opens |

Yea, PMP didn't used to be that expensive but I guess the long lines on Sunday convinced them that they should be charging more...Still, keep you eyes and ears open for a Sunday brunch spot on your side of the creek, please... You have seen what John is buying in the Spring, haven't you?... Thanks, Bob |

Josh...Well we've kinda had a crash fest here during your absence...All this darn nice weather and we're forgetting that the roads are still in winter shape...Four down and no injuries but there's pics of Ron Walkup's 954 on the HSTA site...All we had to do to remove the front wheel was clip the speedo cable...Take a look at Kevin's expression as it's pretty funny... Which HSTA site? From looking at the Yahoo site - everyone is selling their FJR? Sheesh. I'm debating whether to sell mine for a liter rocket or Buell Ulysses or just keep putting up with it. First I need to take it back to Donnelsons and ask what the hell they did to it. Idiots. |

Josh...Yes, the Yahoo site and those selling their FJR's have different reasons such as "no soul" for John and Smitty has a jones for a gixxer 1000...His bud, Skinny Dave, just got one and you know how that goes... What the heck is wrong with your FJR?... Bob |

It was running rough at idle. Donnelson's had it for 4(!) weeks and gave it back after syncing the throttlebodies and adjusting the Throttle Position Sensor. Sure enough idle is fine. But now it has a very loud bearing/turbo whine. This bike used to be stone quiet. I have no idea what they did to screw it up. I'd sell mine because it's too hot, heavy, too hot and uhm too hot. |

Wow...you guys have posted more in the last few days than ya have the last 3 months. Get yer arses down here for Barber's. It'd be a cheap econo-trip. I got space for people, bikes, and bikes. Maybe not Deeeeeee-lux Accomodations but 2 extra beds, a futon and a couch. I had Dreamland BBQ twice BOb but I was told their ribs are the item to have. I guess I have to go back again. Did I mention I am no more than 12 miles from Barber's? We have a place here called Golden Rule BBQ that is simply. Wow! Plusssss...the local Euro dealer (Ducati, BMW, Triumph, Vespa) is not more than 6 miles from me. Hey JOsh...I understand the FJRs have a heat issue but the Vespas are not hot! I work this weekend though... Pictures of Barber's to follow DAve |
