Hey, Guys,

Sorry I haven't been in touch. Work is killing me. I'll try to make tomorrow's meeting, but I'm coming from Michigan and don't know when I'll be back.

Brad & Andi,

Sorry, my wife and I have a work related Chrismas party so we can't attend on Saturday. If it is anything like last year's it should be a great time.

Nevco1 -

I have sort of a home modified force intake setup. I gutted the air box, but used the stock snorkel tube. I cut off about 2" and installed a K&N filter on it. Drilled another hole for the mass airflow sensor, and plugged up thos two big holes with caps from milk cartons. I bought the banjo bolt kit for a harley and a Y hose adapter and routed the hose in between the two cylindaers to the left side of the bike. The pipe is on the left side. This way I can just dump the oil off in a parking lot or gas station somewhere while the bike is on it's kick stand (Sorry all you greenpeace freaks!)

Hope this helps. Maybe I'll snap a few pictures and post.

Heres a question for all you garage hounds.

I have a two car insulated garage. Should I waste my time and $$$$ with a $30.00 electric space heater? Would it work? or should I just go with one of those $100+ kerosene or propane jobs?

Who has experience with this????

Bill,

The $30 heater will work but not great. Part of the problem is that it takes too damn long to get any temp increases. And then it's only about 5 degrees.

The $100 heater will be quicker, increase the temp more and create all around better working environs.

Hope that helps.

X1Bueller...

Thanks for the info. I want to keep the modified air box and use the between the cylinders route with a Jazz can on the left (downhill) side of the bike under the air scoop. Is sort of a combination of two systems. My luck, the permutation will result in my left leg getting oil soaked. Well, if that happens, at least my jeans will have matching legs.

Concerning photo's, I would find a pic of the left side of your bike interesting. It appears that the Forcewinder/Yodude crowd all publish pics of the intake and I have yet to see the other side. Heck, I even do that when looking at the bikes in person. Must be a guy thing, eh?

Take care and thanks again for your response.

I just came from there. $105 for Natural Gas. $89 for a Propane, but I need an additional $25 for the tank (a need a new one for hte BBQ anyway.)

The gas is only 6,000 btu's Is that enough for a garage? Does anyone know the formula to figure how many BTU's are need per square foot?????

Bill, I have a 75,000 btu natural gas hanging furnace in my garage and it works perfectly. It is forced air with a fan behind it. I do tend to come across quite a few used ones in my profession. If you want, I'll keep my eyes open. Can't beat the price. FREE!!!!
I bought a Craftsman 8" grinder and installed the Craftsman polishing wheels and rouge, and this seems to be the right combination.
