Most bars in Milwaukee have the standard Miller fare with very few having Icehouse. Even though Icehouse is made by Miller it's like they don't want anyone to realize it. Sounds a lot like Harley & Buell. |

The keeper of the list is now Jersyguy. Somewhere in the last week Jersy offered and Blake, Court, Vages accepted. The list has been updated daily so we can see who is coming. Andy - Man! sorry I did not mention you in the list, definitely can't forget the guy with the beer! Can't wait to me you there. SM - The your bike looks awesome. I hope NRHD is serious, we C3'ers need to pull for the local guys even if they are not running the new bike. As for me, I received my replacement OEM rear tire for the Uly today. The rear on the ULY now is slick in the middle but am waiting for the 'Brankin stripe of approval' to change it. I have 3200+miles on the bike now. Ouch, I had hoped for better mileage out of these D616. I will keep them until the front tire wears out, then I'm switching to the CityX tires. I am expecting my bag liners and replacement bumper for the bag in any day now. When I get them I'll take a picture and let you all see them. Speaking of pictures, Mark (Webe) gave me the pictures from the IMS show. I will be posting some of the more choice shots later but here is a sneak preview!

On another Note I am in Contract on a House! In Apex no less! Garage for the Blast and the Sporty...heated! And a Shed... Get ready for a housewarming party...as long as everything goes Ok and it passes inspection... |

I've a question/suggestion/project for C3. As you know, the newer Buells have a computer, and talking to it is required to do certain things to the bike, like the TPS reset. I don't know what the things that talk to the computer cost, but I do know that american sportbike sells them. Assuming they aren't ungodly expensive, it might be nice for the C3 club to own one of these boxes. |

Sporty, Sorry, I didn't have a part number. I seem to have thrown the paperwork, that came with it, away. I initially called NRHD and talked to the parts guy and after telling him that it is possible to order the decals without ordering the cover, he looked it up and I ordered the ones for the Black plastic. The letters are the same for all 12's, amber in color. I ordered amber and black because I like the way the black American Motorcycles sticker looks on my bike. The red was too light and would not have looked good. So if you order, tell them you need the Buell American Motorcycle decals, Amber and black (or red/white/orange, whatever color you need). They are $15 each (nope, they don't sell them by the set) for a total of $32.10 with tax for two. |

At a place that pays enough for me to have my own garage. (but not enough toys ) Actually, if you need help at Ray Price for Buell parts talk to Mike Miller. He's a big time Buell enthusiast who rides a 12R with well over 20k miles on it. He works in parts, but he's usually in service getting parts for the techs. About the tank decals- Buell used the raised letter decals all the way back to '99 or so and they should all still be available. I had to replace a set on my Cyclone one time. The cool thing about using the tuber decals is that it opens you up to more color options and styles. On my '99 Cyclone the Buell lettering was done in a chrome color and the American Motorcycles badge was done in black with silver lettering. |

We are not going to be able to come to meeting either.... I've gotta work tonight, and won't get home until after 8am. would take the night off, but something tells me I'm going to catch the 'Buell' flu about 3/09, and have to take a few days off work. --1313 - yes, it seems Miller doesn't want to lay claim to Icehouse. It sells better in the south than the north, so they don't really promote it 'up' there. You ever have a Leinenkugel? --Jlnance - I purchased the technoresearch diagnostic software to reset tps on my X1. ya'll are welcome to use it. --Zxzer04 - you get bags to use for Daytona? Depending on weather, we might be going thru G'boro tomorrow. Possibly could get bags to you if you still need them. |

Jim, The bags are cool aren't they? I just got the bag liners. They are cool too. The liners fit nicely in the bags and come with a shoulder strap. I also received a new bumper for my hurt left bag. It helps hide the gouged up section of the bag. I think I'm going to go ahead and install the top case. I see that allot of uly owners are using the top case only when just bopping around town. I guess I'll try it. The door to the barn is just big enough to get the Uly in with the bags on. I have made up my mind to keep the M2. After I fired the bike up last week and heard that V&H exhaust talk, I just fell in love with it again. I think I'll keep it for local rides and attacking the mountains. I know I can put a loader exhaust on the Uly, but that just doesn't match the character of the bike and I can not justify spending money on an exhaust that will not improve performance. So the excellence of the XB12's active exhaust just solidifies its position under the bike. So, I will sport-adventure-tour on the Uly, and hooligan on the M2. A good fit I think. |

Okay here are some more pics from the IMS show. Though this bike was not Pink in real life, Carlee fell in love with it. You know I think I need to send this picture to Buell. A great color for a cg version of an XB for the ladies. The Butt Bag Dave, doing his own stunts!! Now Spike has to show us how it's done.

OK, I picked up my new saddlebags from Ray Price. Spike is going to help me change out my front tire. Going to run mismatched for a while but I figure it will be mostly highway miles anyway. And then get New tires for the summer. As for the other news, We are going to be moving to Florida. Maybe as soon as October, might be January. So next Daytona, could include my house. My kids hurt so much in the cold weather that we want to move where it's warmer. Hope to see you guys soon, and sorry I couldn't make this meeting. |

Suches, Georgia-The Town of Suches braced itself for the invasion by North Carolinas most notorious BRAG chapter, the “Carolina Corner Carvers” or “C3” as they refer to themselves. Locals here braced themselves for the onslaught of wild-eyed Buellers poised to loosen the earwax of every geriatric within 50 miles. “It’s gonna be pandalerium”, says Billy-Joe Jim-Bob Hatfield, Suches local. “Thems th’ dangdest things I’ve ever seen. They look like one of them thar crotch rockits (sic). But sounds like them thar choppers.” Notes Jimmy-Joe Billy-Bob McCoy. When cornered for a comment, C3 Director Carlos Suarez (M2nc) stated, “Just smile and wave boys, smile and wave.” While behind him, several C3 members started saying “DeeDeeDee” repeatedly, then mounted their motorcycles and all started doing burnout’s. One member appeared to attack a compact car with his motorcycle. “That’s just Dave (AydenXB9), he does all his own stunts”, said Brankin Brehmer (1313), chapter officer while staggering away with a beer bottle in each hand. An anonymous source with the 3%ers, a local BRAG chapter was quoted as saying, “We begged them not to come. We even tried to change the dates and location, but they found us anyway. Between all the destroyed compact cars, beer bottles, and irritating noises they make, I think I might just run over myself.” When asked about C3’s presence at March Badness 3 (MB3), Erik Buell said, “Other than the one that keeps attacking my SRT-4, they’re good for parts and sales.” John Flickinger just ran away screaming when asked for a comment. An employee of TWO Motorcycle Resort who wished not to be named said, “I’ve never heard of C3 and don’t ask me again” while he stared at his Subaru which now has tire marks the entire length of the car. Local police Chief, Jimmy-Jimmy Joe-Bob Clampet asserted he’d “cuff-em and stuff-em” as soon as he could find the lights to his squad cars, along with the missing tires. In a possibly related story, “The Retreat at Coopers Pond”, a local rental cabin in the area collapsed last night under suspicious circumstances. More details on that story, as they become available. |

Let the Badness begin!!! By the way, have I introduced you to our new director? Look up one post, yeup, that's him. So this may be my last chance to say this, Just smile and wave Dave, just smile and wave!! It's going to be a good year at C3. (Message edited by M2nc on February 11, 2006) |

Okay, here are a couple of changes to the logo. This one has the writing on the bottom. It's possible for them to "wrap" the Carolina Corner Carvers at the bottom, it would look better. This is one with just the C3 and no explanation of what C3 is.

Kristi- Thanks for pulling my name out of the box! Now I have a shirt just like David's - minus the dog hair, of course! When I thanked John for the shirt and for doing the give-away, John replied 'Hopefully it will increase attendance at the meetings.'. I guess I shouldn't be so excited about the free shirt, as I did spend about the same amount on parts that I will need for my S2 once I go in to replace the tranny and fix the base gasket leak. Who'da thought that headbolts would cost so much... A seal, a spring and a quart of Sport Trans fluid brought the total to just under what the MSRP for the shirt is. One step closer to being ready for Daytona. It is cool that they made a brochure for the XBRR, but it's kind of funny in a couple of respects. 1- There had to be more brochures printed than the number of XBRR's that will be produced. 2- Since all the bikes sold out darn near immediately, really brochures were not even needed. Still, I am glad that I have one for my collection of all things Buell. Riding home was worse than riding there. On the way home I was riding into the rain and wind, so by Kinston my Adventurer jacket was waterlogged and each layer of shirts I was wearing was moist. On the way to the meeting about 11 miles from the dealership I was at a point that I just wanted to be at the destination. On the way home that point came a little earlier - at about 16 miles out I'd had enough. Nothing that a nice hot shower couldn't cure when I got home though. Congrats on being named Director, Dave! 1313 |

Sorry I missed the meeting. I started a project and it got deep quick. Put new handlebars on the Springer and ran the wiring internally. WHAT A ROYAL PIA. But, it is done....six hours later include a few redos cause I had the wiring screwed up. Whew! I think I'm really gonna like the Chubby Wild 1 Springer Knuckle bar. Also, been playing around with some small projects on the 'Bolt. It's been grinning at me in the corner of the shop; everytime I pass I swear it whisper....come on...track time...let's go. Looks like I'll be leaving for the Badness from home. I'm no going to take the class in Asheville that I was planning to take. Larry, Florida's sounding pretty good right now! Nance, good job on the bags. Spike, how's the piano.....and the back? Brankin....mmmmm beer eerrprpppp!...lol. Kristie and Carlos, thanks for the work on the Cabin and such. I'll get you a check. My buddy Pete wants to go too. I told him I wasn't sure on that accommodations. Rainey, where you at? Twig, glad to hear you'll be at the Badness. If you want a BIG tent let me know and I'll ship it to ya. SM, the bottom sign is Cool! Mike. (Message edited by rubberdown on February 11, 2006) (Message edited by rubberdown on February 11, 2006) |
