Author Message   1313 Posted on Sunday, January 29, 2006 - 06:06 pm:        Dave, Funny you should bring up March Badness 3. I just got an E-mail from Glitch this morning regarding MB3. Looks like Buell's president will be at March Badness this year. Erik is caught up in racing....imagine that! Looks like Ditch Digger, er...U4euh might have an easier go of it this year... For those not up on the business of Buell, Jon Flickinger is the new President. JKNG I learned my lesson on that one, even when someone you respect and are in awe of, still doesn't mean to forget to set up for the upcoming curve. at 70 mph. Us down this way are kicking some things around. If any will be cageing down, would it be possible to get a seat for my wife? I would like to ride, plans are not definate. And if I do ride, my wife's back would be out of commission for the entire weekend. Cameron spoke with Erik this past week at the dealer show and was talking to the girl in charge of his schedule. He really wants to come because he had such a good time last year. Being so close to Daytona he wasen't sure. I will post when I know more from Cameron. I know what I done wrong, it was a learning experience. I can put that notch on my belt. I am thinking of having a sticker made for my helmet--"Ditch Digger". Need to find a good graphic though! M2-I understand the maybe thing. Alot of those on this end also. Chasespeed up in VA has shown interest in going also. This would keep specific issues at hand and not get swept up in archives or daily chatter. The 3%'s have a similar setup. These are the folders that Carlos and Dave have talked about. Do you have any suggestions/comments? C3 Pictures/Stories - Exactly what it says. C3 Adventures/Group Outings - This would include on-going information about upcoming events and follow-ups if wanted. i.e. Daytona, Homecoming, TWO. This will keep the information about each event together and not have to read through days of chatter for specific information. C3 Meeting Information/Day Trips - Maybe we can get our attendance up this year. Day trips would include things like we just did this past weekend. Dave has mentioned having a monthly ride - set the date/time and whoever shows up rides. Any thoughts on that? C3 Official BRAG Club - This would include a listing of officers, a little history on C3 and information on our sponsoring dealership. We have picked up quite a few new posters this past month and are quickly moving up in the number of posts we have. This is just a thought and doesn't have to happen. If we want this, then we will submit the names of the folders to Glitch and he will set it up. We don't want to get so many folders that we defeat the purpose of this move. It's nice to put faces to names to Badweb names!! Hopefully we can get out earlier next time. Basketball season is over in mid to late February. I think you could figure this folder deal out! We're actually hoping it will make tracking some information a lot easier for everyone. We hope to see you again soon. Looks like the BRAG meeting has been changed to Saturday, Feb. 11th so that Souther Marine can attend. Still don't know a time and place. Maybe I'll ask the Director tonight!! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can take the Uly out again. Saturday's temp was about my limit for riding. I'm ready for Spring!! Take care and we'll see you soon. Also, Rebecca said (and she might be kidding) that she would like to fly to Daytona if any other girls were going from our group. Larry   Ulywife Posted on Monday, January 30, 2006 - 12:33 pm:        Jim -- You can PM Vegas Bueller or see how many Rubberdown RSVP'd for and how many are actually going from here. I think the only thing you have to take is a sleeping bag and pillow. Since this is getting so big, a bath towel might not be a bad idea! Vegas Bueller is hosting BBQs Friday and Saturday night. I plan to send him a check within the next couple of weeks to help with expenses of the BBQ and house utilities since he's been so generous to open up his house. He says it's not necessary to contribute for the BBQ or for a place to stay. Totally our option. I'm not sure of any spouses that are on the fence. I know that I'm staying because of children and the extra expense. I'm more interested in March Badness. TWO looks like a neat area and more riding vs. seeing. Glitch will be taking small groups out for rides when others are taking demo rides. I'm sure more will be posted or talked about Daytona at the February meeting. If you go to Big, Bad & Dirty, there is a thread on Uly Bag Liners. That's where I got the information and one of the guys already posted pictures of the bag liners. You can also follow Vegas Bueller's info on Storm Fronts under Daytona 2006 Happenings! Thanks again for a great day Saturday. Sounds like that book may prove to be a lot of fun for exploring and giving us an excuse to hang out and ride. Hi to Rebecca! Pauletta and I were talking about how fun she is to be around. Looks more like a shove to me!! Carlos loved TWO last year. He thought he had to choose between Daytona and March Badness until I told him I'm like to go to TWO. He looked like a kid in a candy store -- all smiles. Seriously though, for those of us looking at March Badness, but not necessarily interested in camping, which of the places listed on TWO's webpage would you recommend (or any others for that matter)? Something that is clean, hot water and good for 2 couples to share. Head count so far is: Jim Nance - 2 Carlos & Kristi - 2 Dave & Pauletta - 2 Brankin - 1 Jim Rainey - 2 Travel dates: Leave NC Friday AM 3/31 Leave Suches GA Monday AM 4/3 3 night stay (Fri/Sat/Sun) Cottages are getting hard to find. So far today I've had no luck but will try again tomorrow. Cottages seem to sleep 2-4 or 6-8. Prices are ranging from $70 - $100 per person for the 3 nights (based on sharing expenses). If I happen to have luck tomorrow, who should I make reservations for? So far, it's Suarez, Dusterberg, Brankin, Nance. We may end up a little further away from TWO, but it will be within a reasonable distance. I'll keep you posted as I know more. I just need to know from those going and staying together what your travel days are. I've found a cabin that will sleep 11. The cabin is about 7-10 miles north of Suches. If I do go it will definitely be a arrive late friday leave mid-day sunday. I can camp out to if necessary so make sure all the couples have a place and I will let you know when we get together on the 11th.
