Jim. I'll try my best to be there. If he thinks I'm you I might just show up wearing heavy makeup and red lip stick and tell him it was nice to meet him but I can only stay a minute. |

Hi, guys. I'm Malcolm. I've seen pics of Jim and his bike, so I think I'll know him when he gets there. If you get there before Jim, look for the blue Suzuki Vstrom 650 with a Givi topcase. If it has gadgets on it, it's mine. Looking forward to meeting youall and riding to Wilson and vicinity tomorrow. Looks like good weather |

Vstromman - Hi Malcolm. Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow. We will hopefully be on the road by 11:30 so guys don't rush off from Gramps. I mean his going to get all dress up of you and everything. Big Daddy - Yes sir! We want to make a couple of trips that direction this year. We do not have a specific date and time as of yet. We C3'ers are still planning for Daytona and T.W.O. in March. Everyone - We need to nail down a meeting time and place. Southern Marine asked the meeting to be moved to Saturday. I'm good with that. Does anyone else have a preference? I know that John Martindale would like us to have the meeting in Goldsboro so he can attend. Again, I'm good with that, anyone else have a preference? All depending on the weather, we know some good roads in the area and could take the back way toward Smithfield. I know that I have received some e-mails from some of the others that do not frequent Badweb and I would like to e-mail out a time and place. Soooo? Who is interested and has a preference? |

'flat-landers' Hmmm...When I posed a question in the 3%'ers Storm Front section just a couple of days ago it went something like this: Q: ...but what is the PC term for the inhabitants of flatter geography in the regions listed - commonly referred to as 'rednecks'? A: FlatLand-Americans Draw your own interpretation... I've made mine. But I do know that real 'flat-landers' are from Illinois! As for the meeting, I'm in and my preference would be Goldsboro - just to see what the only Buell supporter on Shelton's payroll (John Martindale) has to say about the XBRR. Saturday is fine for me as well, as it would be good to see Southern Marine after him being gone so long. I think I'm more than 2 cents short this time, 1313 |

Hi! hotrats here - not posted much, and not in a few weeks. Things been busy (been lurking some tho), just got my fiancee here (USA) last night - that has taken awhile. 1313, Thanks for thinking about homecoming info. Really want to make that ride up there. Still gotta get vacation changed - I'm working on that. Oh, saw your key ring on ebay -cool! --The race at Daytona - would like to go, but won't be able to ride bike down - fiancee is from tropics and needs some 'acclimation' time, 65F is freezing to her. Any couples going? Recommendations on motel near? We'll probably just go for the 200 and Vegasbueller's BBQ that I've read about here. --I didn't realize the C-3 was a actual bona fide BRAG club, until reading that here - on same day that I sent my membership check to BRAG (just a coincidence?). --C-3 meeting next month, I want to come, anywhere is fine with me - just want to put some faces with names, get to know future riding friends. --Zxzer04, if you want to use my X1 bags (saddlebags & seatbag) for Daytona, you're welcome to them. I won't be using them. Maybe get them to you at the C-3 meeting? send me a note if interested. If we go to race, will be driving S10 pickup, so possibly could carry stuff for someone if needed. --oh yeah - what about the RS1200 on ebay? would look good sitting in the living room, eh? This year promises to be a very good & very Buell year!! andy & MP |

Hey Hotrats, Thanks for the offer, I am unsure if those will work on the bolt, but as you have a 9 you can tell me. The carry stuff down offer would be cool as I will be near you on that tuesday before as we are just getting back from Disney and will be dropping my Mom off in Sedgefield. Oh and I grew up in the the Greensboro area and spent alot of time in the Stokesdale area, so I should have no trouble finding you. Larry |

Zxzer04, still cold out... tried them on the 9R. going over the seat (w/o cover), worked ok - at least as well as on the X1. The tank bag has D rings at each corner, could tie or bungee for extra stability. i'm about 12 miles from #220, about 2 mi. from hwys 87 & 135 intersection. let me know andyh |

Jlnance, Vstromman, Gramps, Aydenxb9 and much better halves, I had a great afternoon. The only thing that would have made it better was if we had more time. Thanks for another great ride. P.S. I found it funny that the two Ulys had to go down the dirt road and into the field when everyone else stopped at the shop. Hotrats: Greetings. Yes we became an official BRAG chapter last year about this time. We are a small but scattered group covering from Jacksonville to Raleigh. Our sponsoring dealer is Shelton's HD and even though we hail out of Goldsboro, Shelton has four stores and we have moved meetings around to different stores and beyond. It will be great to have you come down for the meeting so we can meet you face to face. We are planning several events out your way. The closest ones are at VIR. We want to go to the CCS and AMA race there. We hope to contact the Greensboro and Stateville chapters and see if we can get a Buell showing there. FYI, there are three official BRAG chapters is North Carolina. The closed to Eden is Buell of Greensboro, called Triad Thunderbike Club. They do not use Badweb and though I met their director once at Michael's in Chapel Hill, we have not made contact since. SportyMark - Neat present. |

Totally off topic- Any of you guys know anything about antique pianos? I managed to acquire an old upright today. It's very large, standing at 56" tall and making it a true Upright. On the front it's labeled Hackley Chicago Muskegon. I've been googling around, but details on the piano are scarce. I did figure out that it was likely manufactured in 1905 or 1906. It's been sitting in a finished basement for ~30 years and the finish is pretty ugly, but it is playable despite being way out of tune. I'm trying to find a good source of info on restoring it. |

M2nc-- if at all possible, I'm in for the next C3 meeting. And wanting to attend some races at VIR, that's not far from here. I'll have to go back to hd G'boro and ask about the triad thunderbike club. I traded my sporty for my 9R there. Although I met a couple of 'Buellies' there, I got the impression that they aren't that Buell friendly. SportyMark, nice present, very nice engraving. I'd like to get a pegasys engraved on a derby cover - with the prices the pegasys covers are bringing on epay, it'd probably be cheaper to have one engraved.. Spike-- A guy I went to high school in Albemarle with does (did?) furniture restoring. I'll be in Albemarle next weekend. I can try to get some info if you want, let me know. andyh |

Had a great time yesterday. Our host at the windmills was very interesting. With my family's deep background in the arts and my experience as a welder/fabricator, it was cool to talk to him and see his work. I want those cast iron hands! They were too cool. I'm going through the process of putting together a 2006 calendar of events, so if anyone has something they want included, please speak up. Dave |

Jim, I appreciate the offer and thank you for it. Unfortunately when I'm here I usually don't feel much like riding -- except on Monday AMs heading to Pumpkin Center :-) Also, it looks like I might be migrating my services to the Charlotte area in the immediate future (sweet if I can pull it off.) This SBC/AT&T merger/buy out/mind meld has me a bit put off,,,,time to bail. I need to get it in gear and go take the CCIE lab next week so I can up my rates first. G2 |
