Roc, A big thank you for the information. Not sure if I will be able to make the ride on the 17th (we don't have my son for Thanksgiving this year so we are celebrating turkey day on the 17th for him) but will be able to make the meeting on the 19th though. What's the meeting time on the 19th? Jim |

for any of you NorthWetHeads doing Laguna Seca next July, i'll be organizing a group ride to SPLASH for anyone who's interested, leaving Monterey, CA at 0800 Monday 7/14 and arriving Portland, OR Thursday 7/17 p.m. PDX Jim has offered up his spread in Portland on Thursday night, and Paul/Snail is trying to adjust his schedule so as to house us at his place in Ophir, OR on Wednesday night. the ride north to Mount St. Helens will be via a ton of sportbike-worthy roads, over several days, and should be a great tune-up for the assault on the volcano. still looking for Hooliganistic accomodations for Monday night and Tuesday night... I'll be at Laguna but have to haul ass back to the Rain Forest to get ready for SPLASH. Kinda Screwie aint it? I ordered a set of BT-56's today, 165.00 for the set. I love though's tires! Also put three new sparkin plugs in the Trumpet and cleaned the K&N. Getting ready is a good thing! Bob |

Mike G. I will be in Bend starting next Monday for the week. I would like to see your place. Bob talk about crap timing. Cody and I are still planning to go on Saturday. Always next year. Eric are you still going to the show? What day? Ray your kids bike is looking very nice. You both seem happy with your new bikes. Chris and Lonnie anytime you would like to get together is good with us. Where the heck is Galen? FMJ I wish I could have been at Salt flats with you too. I'll see you for sure at Sonmafest. Mike |

Mike, Yes, I'm still planning on going to the show. I have that Thurs through Sunday off, so I can go any day. I will probably make a long weekend of it up in Seattle. Bob, waved on my way past again last week! |

Jim, nice pics. Did you do the stretch of hwy 218 to Fossil too? That's a great stretch of road. Continue on hwy 19 to 207 through the John Day Fossil Beds Nat'l Monument for some more. Just some awesome scenery over there. |

Yeah, Bob. If you'd stuck with the Buells you'd only have to buy two new spark plugs. Think of all the beer money going to waste. |

Greeneric, Thanks for the comments on the pics! Didn't make it to Fossil that day but have done some riding in and around Fossil in the past. You are so correct about that area too, AWESOME country and wide open roads. Can't wait till spring! Jim |

Hey Bob and Jim- Anyone not being able to ride from distant places such as BC or South CA. for SPLASH due to lack of time or ambition should have options. Latus Motors has the latest rentals from HD and Buell and is located 10 minutes from the airport. You guys may run that past the powers to be here and on Sacborg to see if ther are any takers. I can help with transport if needed, I live close to both. Options for all. Ya even sleezel or is that Brian has no excuse. Mike |

Friday the 15th of December would work out much better for Lyle & me to go to the IMS. Does anyone know who or what will be the entertainment at the IMS this year? The trials bike guy last year was just about as cool as he could be and it would take something pretty special to be better than that. Maybe 199 Hooters girls or something like that (them?). Oh, BTW, I've got a brand new keyboard with about two dozen programmable buttons. Can you tell? |

ToasterTan: Hi. Glad to hear from you. Mike: Yeah, I hate to admit it but my kids Speed Triple is pretty cool. He would be 100% happy with the bike if it were Roulette Green. I would be 100% satisfied with with my RS if it had the same front end geometry as a Speed Triple. Over all, we are both happy with our bikes. Neither one of the bikes is perfect but they're pretty close. Generally speaking, collage football teams from Washington (that's redundant, as there are NO pro teams between Seattle and San Francisco) are a cut above football teams from Ore-gone. Especially Eugene. As for next week, Go Beavers! Ya know, the Huskies really did kick some serious Duck butt today. Heck, I'll bet that there are still some green feathers that haven't hit the ground yet. I think if Duck fans weren't such jerks when Oregon wins a game nobody in Washington would really care. On the odd occurrence that the Ducks win a game their fans prance around and run their mouth like it's the first football game they've ever won, and then wonder why everybody else in the country dislikes them. Well, Duh! Overall, Duck fans are ungracious winners and insufferable whiners when they loose. Dawgs 42 – Ducks 14. Purple Haze! |

Ok NW Buellies.... I found you after banging around in here a bit. I'm a newbie to the big B, but got a bit of Beemer iron in my stable. Like to meet up and start learning about this weird ass bike with the pistons standing up. Man I do kinda miss looking between my knees and seeing a big set of jugs..... I miss it until I twist the throttle.... Stephen, by virtue of being here you have volunteered and obligated yourself to being at the International Motorcycle Show in Seattle on Dec. 13 - 15, 2002. You might even have to ride to Tacoma just so you can then ride back to Seattle with the rest of us. Keep in touch so you’ll know exactly what day and time. Right now it’s starting to look like early Sunday morning the 15th, but all things are subject to change. |

NorthWetBuellies: My 72 Toaster was on display in the Intl Motorcycle Show last year for the VME (Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts). They wanted my 78 R100S Custom in it this year, but I thought I may be out of town, so passed. There are several NorthWetHeads (BMW Airheads club) coming up from Portland on the 14th. I believe, at this point, I will be around for it. Love to meet some folks to talk Buell to, since the Airheads have all but disowned me for going to the Darkside... |
