OK, I'm game for a Saturday morning ride. We can check out the route for next weekend's run to Starved Rock. (Kirk, have I convinced you to ride on down here to the SW burbs). Actually, I'll ride anywhere because the weather is perfect. Sheridan Road (north), Kettle Moraine (even further north), RT 30 along Fox River, or south by me (lots of nice roads). Call my mobile 708 373-5445 at any time 24 X 7 if you want to establish somewhere to meet. But I'll be out riding somewhere come early Saturday morning. |

So I guess we will have a fresh start all the way accross the board for next year, so come on guys and step up to the plate!, thanks, Greg |

Max, It was I, Curt, that called you last week. Just wanted to know if you were interested in sharing half of my 2 mill lotto winnings, but you evidently had better things to do in Hawaii. Oh well, maybe next time. Seriously though.....I could not read the email address you wrote down at the October chapter meeting, and was looking for you to clarify. Also, the chapter list has a place for only one telephone number, so do you want your home or mobile number to go on the list? |

Depart at 8:30am and ride to meeting place #2 Meeting Place #2: GAS CITY located on west side of Lemont Road, about 1/2 mile south of I-55. Can't miss it. Depart to Starved Rock around 9:00am Depart GAS CITY around 9:00am We'll take more entertaining back roads to Starved Rock. Estimated ride time 2.75 hours. Weekend forecast doesn't look so wonderful for ride out to Starved Rock Brunch Run on Sunday. Of course, things may change, hopefully for the better. What is the general consensus regarding riding if it is wet? I could go either way, although wet roads would certainly suck. Post your opinion here soon please. As a note, I am not aware of anyone who has positively committed to the Sunday brunch run this weekend based on current conditions. So please, post your opinion here ASAP so that we can decide if it will happen or not. Again, I could take it or leave it if it's raining, but I'm not willing to ride out there alone! |

I don't mind rain, I don't mind 50 degrees, but 50 degrees AND rain don't sound like much fun to me-- |

I'm in without rain. I'm good down to about 40 degrees temp. Check the forcast on Sat. afternoon. What route takes 2.75 hrs. Curt? I'm curious. |

Paul, My back road route will take approximately 2.75 hours. This includes a reasonable allowance for late-shows, gas stops, slight changes in route, slower travel (rain) and waiting for the occasional rider that ventures off the road mid-corner. It also accounts for possible road construction around Starved Rock, as we may need to find our way in the back way (route 176) if the fun way (route 71) is still closed due to construction. |
