My insurance is trying to charge me $920 a year for my Lightning, my Harley was $100 a year. Doe's that sound right for the buell? It's not a damn spaceship. |

good evening raptor... give your insurance guy a call. tell him thanks for the offer of the bend-over, but you aren't that kind of guy. (a woman would at least make you buy her dinner first.) i have used several different companies. i have house, car, motorcycle, and business insurance with farm bureau. i think you need to call an fb agent tomorrow. let him give you a comparison quote for ALL of your insurance needs. there are discounts available for holding multiple accounts. i have had various problems. they have always solved them in a friendly very efficient manner. it is nice to have an office you can walk into and do face-to-face with the people with whom you do business. they solve things while you are there! being put on hold for 20 minutes while the gecko sheds his skin(or whatever), tempers any "savings". it won't cost anything to check it out. give it a shot. my 99m2 is about 1/2 the cost !! |

That's more than I pay for my M2 and XB9 combined! However I'm sure your age is part of the reason. Until you hit 25 and are married, they really rate you hard! I was going to check around and see if I could do better, but sounds like compared to what your Insurance co charges, mine's not so bad. I insure through State Farm.

TO ANYONE ATTENDING BIKETOBERFEST: although i won't be going to the festival, i would like a chance to hook up for any rides you take from there. i know lots of roads around here that are less traveled, overall slower, and much curvier than our ride last time. if you get a chance to call me to let me know about a ride, i can be reached at 812-3320808 |

well guys I have bad news. Bike is being sold. I bought a truck(not reason for selling) but have broken my foot and i'm just gona sell the blast to help pay for other stuff. If you still have the bike near the end of winter Ron let me know and I may still buy it. I'm sorry to get out of biking for awhile but this sucks. |

Raptor, I just switched FROM Geico to State Farm. They're charging me $330 a year for the bike, and with MORE coverage! I suggest you call one of their agents, and get a quote for everything, car, bike, home, etc. Blast, I hope you've called Ron to tell him that you aren't buying his bike. Last I knew he was going to tell the shop to get it ready right away. |

Indyblast, no problem. I understand "sheet happens" in life and we move on. As I told Raptor I am going to get the X1 completed and then ?, who knows. I really don't need 2 X1's but with all the $ I have in it I just can't give it away. Stay in touch and maybe later you'll be in better shape later on. Good luck with your foot. Thanks |

Hoosier Thunder Club, remember we are meeting Saturday, October 15, at the dealership at 12 noon. See everyone there. Also, at this time I want to thank everyone who has joined in to make the "new" Thunder Club a reality. It takes time and dedication to get a club up and moving. To our fault we have sit on our hands way to long and are ready for a new and exciting future. With fresh ideas and enthusiastic members I know we will have one of the strongest Clubs in the Nation. We already are the strongest in the state just by numbers and next year we will show the "National" clubs how it's done. The staff at the dealership is very excited to be able to WELCOME the new members and to join in the events and activites we plan. There are a few ideas for events that can only be pulled together with the backing of a dedicated dealership that will blow most groups away! I am excited to be able to work for, and with, a very enthusiastic owner and a group of motivated people. In addition to several Buell owners who work at the dealership there is even a dedicated Buell parts specialist. Our Buell techs are some of the best and brightest in the field and are ready for a challange from any rider who wants something special. Prepration and involvment, as always, is going to be the key to a successful club and I know its a "Can Do" group. Once again THANK YOU to all those dedicated enthusiast and now it's time. LET'S GET IT ON! (Message edited by motoboss on September 28, 2005) (Message edited by motoboss on September 28, 2005) |

I thought the meeting was scheduled for the 15th so it would coincide with the dealership open house? Has something changed? (Message edited by cyclonemaniac on September 28, 2005) |

Group riding video/class materials are in. I'll be a soccer dad on Saturday morn, and the wife's working so I'm not able to join you guys afterwards (again). I'll probably be around tomorrow night if someone wants them bad enough to swing by to pick them up. I'm about a mile east of Carroll Rd (on of those double letters is probably a single letter) and two miles south of Washington St. Otherwise I'll make sure I bring them along when I can join a ride. |

If all works out, I'm gonna try to make the poker run. Have some last minute things to do to the XB before I can ride. Looks like it's gonna be pushing it to have my Cyclone ready by the 15th! Had to order more parts.

Sorry guys, I got stuck here working on the bike....oil change and new spark plugs. Took alot longer than expected. I just now got finished. I don't know about the poker run, I want to go down to BHD/B first before heading back up to Beanblossom. Anyone know if the Dyno drag setup will be at biketober fest? Last I heard it wasnt. |

No Dyno this year. M&M couldn't get the parts in time to fix their Dyno.

So is there a point to still go ($35-$50) or are we just going to ride to bloomington? We'll be at SSHD at 10:00. |

Sat. will only cost $20 to get in. There are several vendors, but most are cruiser related. The concerts are usually pretty good, and other "interesting" sights will abound.. I know several people there, so I usually just hang out with friends.

Motoboss, Could you tell us the name of the dedicated Buell parts guy? We should make sure we are talking to the right person. At the next meeting, could we get one of the Buell techs in to talk to us about some of the things the shop can do? I know for myself, I'll be putting a Power Commander on my bike soon, so I'll be wanting to get it Dyno-tuned. |
