James, I tried to explain that exact same scenerio with my wife. She did not like it at all. "So only if its raining, you have enough time for me!?" She says. Well honey, when you word it like that it does sound pretty bad! They just don't understand. Like Whiskey said, I agree on the "balance". |

Dang, Bike is home now and it ran fine on the way home. Gail's charged me 56 bucks to "adjust" the clutch even though no one could tell me what needed adjustment. Whatever, I won't be back to Gail's. Now on the way home, my wife says my brake light isn't working. It's on all the time. I looked at the front switch to make sure it wasn't being compressed and it wasn't. Rear seems OK, lever not binding, but no "clicky" sound like when the front switch is released. The signals and horn work fine. The tail light is a led replacement for stock. I know they were working when I did the tail chop. Any ideas? Thanks again, Warren |

If you aren't hearing the click when you release the front lever it is the sensor. There is a small spring in the housing that makes the clicking sound. I have no idea why they would have messed with your front brake for a clutch problem. It isn't very difficul to check or fix. Just take a look at the brake and if you aren't seeing a little piece spring up when you release the brake the spring is gone. If you are there is something wrong with the sensor. Here is a funny pick for you guys. |

Guys, I made it to Topeka tonight, but before we went to the wedding rehearsal I had to stop into Topeka HD. That place is fantastic. I have been there before, but it was a great experience again! They had like 8 buells on the show room floor including the new Uly and a Lightning SS in Orange. The orange looked much better in real life than in pics. I also talked to Bruce Zimmerman. He is their "Buell" hookup there. We talked for like a half hour. He has a 1995 Buell with 20,000+ miles on it. Also saw the 1986(?) Buell Battle Twin they had on display in the museum in the basement. Very cool! I don't know what it is, but that place is just awesome. If you have never been there, it is worth the trip some Saturday. Also, the All Harley Drags are at Heartland Park Topeka on Sunday. Sam and I are going to be there, weather permitting. Its sponsored by Topeka HD, of course. |

Warren it was great to meet ya, you fit right in with all us hooligans. Great ride tonight fellas, and for all whom missed, we got flashed some boobies on K10 heading toward Lawrence. That doesn't happen everyday, so it was cool. Although Rob was in a riders trance and didn't notice, and Tim thought he saw an a$$ hahahahahahahhahahahahah. Anyway peace out brothers have a nice weekend all.... |

Well, it would seem that I spoke too soon last night! The wife has informed me that I am NOT going to Topeka, I am going to Yoga instead. I think she got jealous last night because she thought I wasn't going to get to ride. Women. Have a good ride this AM! Take care, WT |

I know it's kind of short notice but I'm having a Sportbike day at the dealership Oct 8th,10-3:00 I had about a day to put this together. You can help me pull it off by coming! So far I have planned, Sportbike bike show Helmet toss contest, men's and women's, see who can throw my old helmet the farthest. Burn out pit available for those so inclined, it's almost winter here in Wisconsin so might as well burn that tire! Specials on bikes,t-shirts,hooded sweatshirts, parts Buell demo rides! Food of some sort, not sure yet. Band? Working on it. More details to come. Who can come? Anyone want to help me? |

Whisky check to see if ther is a small gap between the lever perch and the grip if there is they loosend it and it needs to be slid over so there is no gap so the switch is compressed when the lever is released, I had a service department do that to me and it took me a while to figure it out. |

S2scott, It turned out that the bulb connections in my tail light housing were not making good contact, so I abraded them and bent the connectors back out and it worked again (thanks again, guys). When I was first trying to diagnose the problem, I pulled the front switch off entirely, so I see what you are saying about that adjustment being important! Thanks! Larry, we had a great time too. Frank and another friend lasted til about 9:30 so we're a bit tuckered out! We did end up with a few more bathing suits than we started with. We'll hold onto them until you tell us when we'll see you again. Joan and Jim |

Sorry I missed the BBQ and meeting Joan and Jim sounds like you guys had a blast. I hope the extra swim suits doesn't imply you were all running around naked! The reason I missed the BBQ was I hauled the beast out to the "run whatcha brung" all harley drags in Topeka. This was by far the most poorly organized clusterphuck ever. You couldn't hear the PA system anywhere, there was no schedule, the "officials" (members of some local biker gang) had no idea what they were doing, bike classes were all mixed up at tech-in. I left smiling though, with my 30" tall first place trophy! and cash! Things went pretty well my bests: R.T. .030 60' 1.7 E.T. 11.18 MPH 123.5 man I wanted a ten bad, I just couldn't get out of the hole under full power. I dropped a solid two tenths off my times just lowering the bike front and rear. I made an aluminum strut for the rear that dropped it 4" out back, and I strapped the front down about 3". It ran smooth and straight. The first run was a huge wheelie but I was able to keep it on the ground most of the rest of the day. the 1-2 shifts would carry the front wheel inches off for a hundred feet under full throttle. THAT was awesome! I'm going to do this again soon! Just not at this event. these two guys were from emporia and were battling each other throughout practice, I think they were enjoying the day. ther were quite a few Buells, I didn't get a chance to talk to each of them unfortunately these showed: a yellow X1, a red stripe X1, the two M2's yellow and orange, a primered S1, a black S1, and two or three S1 wheelie bar bikes. surprise, surprise my wife actually did come out to watch (an hours drive and a hot day, two things she's not fond of) I was proud of her, and she brought my protege' and littlest fan. It was cool and Ella (junior) loves the motorcycles! all in all a funday Sunday BIG thanks to Drake Tollefson for the Camera work. I owe you bud! He got Videos of four different runs to. Some of you may know Russ Morgan, that big pimp won the Pro-Gas Class on his FXR. I think he was more than a little happy. |

Jim and Joan thanks for a great time Sunday. Joey didn't make it 2 minutes in the car on the way home and was out cold. I think two of the swim suits, a brown towel were Joey and mine. Sam the burnerbolt looks pretty cool slammed. Drake the pictures are cool, its awesome riding in the mountains no? |

Someone said that there was going to be a track day at Heartland Park Topeka next month. I don't think that will be happening. They must be a little behind on rebuilding the track!
