Sorry I lost you guys. I turned around and spent about 10 minutes looking for Glenn. Couldn't find him, so I headed home so I could get to that birthday party.

Glenn turned around to get gas. I spoke to him a little while ago on the phone, he made it home just fine.

Ok lessons learned today for BRAG rides:

1. Top off fuel prior to starting the ride.

2. Leaders need to keep an eye on the guys behind, making sure we haven't lost anyone.

3. Investing in a pair of radios (one for lead rider, one for trail rider) might be a good idea.

We should also think about nominating an Activities Officer and a Road Captain.

I just want to say a big thanks to Jeff Stevens. Jeff, your hospitality and generosity are not lost on me. You have a dedicated BRAG member, customer, and friend in me. Thanks for being such a great friend of Buell and Buellers! This Buds for you!

I'm not sure if I really need to say this, but guys, out of appreciation for all Jeff is doing and will do for us, we really need to be loyal customers of Harley-Davidson/Buell of Bloomington. This can and should be a win/win situation, so lets show our appreciation by being loyal with our parts/accessories/motorclothes money.

Guys it was great to see all of you, (some for the first time), even though I couldn't make the whole meeting. I concur whole-heartedly with Pete about giving our financial support to Bloomington Harley-Buell. In fact, that's why I missed riding with you guys. I was in ordering my trans and clutch parts for my M2. The parts guys at Bloomington have always treated me well!

Sounds like the ride went ok with a small snafu. I think some basic group ride guidelines might help things go smoothly in the future. Most have already been mentioned.

1. Always have a lead and chase rider with both knowing the designated course. (this of course wouldn't be required with a small group, but is a must for groups of say 5 or more.

2. Assign catch up points along the ride route. This would allow riders with less experience, or folks that just want an easier pace to catch back up to the faster riders as well as providing fueling points and stretch time. A good way to keep concentration sharp!

3. Have a means of communication. ie cell phones, radios etc. ( I have a couple of FRS frequency radios we could use. only prob. is the limited range. might work as a supplant to cell commo.)

4. Map out the ride. This goes hand in hand with
#2. This provides everyone with knowledge
of the ride route.

I know yesterday was an impromptu ride. I'm not ragging on anyone, so please don't mis-interpret these suggestions as anything but that.

I also think some rally type rides might be interesting too. Could make it a whole day or even a weekend ride, testing riding and navigational skills. Just a thought.

I want to thank Jeff Stevens for the shirt and lunch. What better way to start than with free pizza and a cool shirt. Only thing that would have improved yesterday would have been to go riding with you guys!

I think we need a good ride for a weekend like Jeff Stevens was talking about at the meeting. As far as the split up with the ride, I don't think it was that big of a deal. We now know that we need to pay more attention to the guy behind us. Let's not make it too complicated.

If there is anyone between Indy & Ft. Wayne, IN, needing an XBS, Stones HD in Marion, IN, is dropping the Buell line. They have three XB9S's (Black, Yellow, & Yellow Low) and one XB12S (Black). Seems like a good time to grab one, now that they are trying to get them off of their showroom floor. As a note, I am in no way associated with Stone's, I just used to live in the area and went back for a visit. Look them up, from what I hear an awesome deal could be made.

Hey SkeeterXB, took your suggestion about the CityX seat. I found one "as new" on Ebay for $60. Supposed to only have 50 miles on it. Should help my knees out considerably!

Dan- I'm sure you'll like it. I've done 400 miles in a day on it. No way I could have done it on the stocker.

Ryan- Your discs are done. Just gotta make it to the post office before they close one day this week.

Since we are on the subject of selling pants. These are too short for me. They are size large and have been worn like 4 times. Comes with the rain liner. First $140 takes them.

Dan- check this site for the mounting sytem. It is what they call a RAM system.

My GPS is a Garmin Legend Color. I absolutely love it. I believe Ryan has the regular Garmin Legend Non-color. I have it hard wired on my sportster and I'm thinking about taking off of it and putting it on the Buell since I want to sell the H-D.

Skeeter_xb, Thanks let me know what I owe you for the postage and the disks. I'll pay you next time I see you. Cyclonemaniac, I have the Garmin Legend and it's great. Indybueller, I tried to fix the gasket leak and screwed my bike all up. All the cams came out so I had to remove the valve covers to put them back in and screwed my timing all up and some. I'm just going to take it to Harley and have them fix it. I hope the warranty will cover it or I'm out a ton of money.
