OK MOBBER's you have seen Ferris Bueller Rides Again thread on the Quick Board... Jerry will be heading from Waterloo to Kansas City on Monday (Labor Day) August 5th. We also attempting to coordinate a meet up with Bob LaMear (Racerboy)from STL and company somewhere along the route. I am looking for interested Hooligans to ride up for the meet and help bring FB and the Ulysses into KC. I still need to see if I can ride up and how far... I'm on-call that weekend and need to be available within a 2 hour window to KC. We will be going out for BBQ and Beers for those who would like to join us later... to see the 2006 Ulysses and talk to Jerry about his ride. I'm putting Jerry up at my place for the overnight and then Tuesday morning he will be headed to Topeka HD/Buell for a early morning 1000 mile service. After that he has got to make it to CO Springs. He will have a long ride that day!! So look at your calendars mark this down... And this is not just a Buell thing anyone with a motorcycle or anyone with interest in the bike is welcome to ride with us!! Let me know.... |

from Court: Ferris: We have a "GO" in Kansas at Topeka Harley-Davidson/Buell. Bruce Zimmerman, Buell rider since the RR days, will be on hand with a trained Buell tech awaiting you at 0600 on Tuesday September 6, 2005. If you are going to have some folks in tow, please advise and I'll have the restaurant opened, ready to serve breakfast and I'll get someone (heck, I may do it!) to give you a tour of one of the most fabulous Buell stores in the USA. Thunder, i need you to organize the ride from KC to Topeka that morning, and keep Court advised as to head count so they can be ready for us. thanks. FB |

Hey buellers Bill Cobb and I and our ladies went to Sturgis last week and had a great time riding out there. We also hit the demo rides Harley and Buell had and rode some new bikes, they had all the new buells I sat on the Ulyses and it is a tall bike like a dirt bike I was on my toes and I am 6'. The favorite bike I rode was the Screming eagle Vrod it was smoothe and fast I loved it and it looked awesome too. |

Heartland Park track day on Oct 17th. A group called TrackAddix's is putting the event on. Their web site is www.TrackAddix.com Right now it's for "experienced track riders only" but if they have enough interest they will have a "track school" for beginners like myself. If anyone else have any interest drop them an email at dean@trackaddix.com and let them now. Oh ya the track is getting a brand new road surface and this will be the first group of bikes on the track with the new surface. (Message edited by gowindward on August 17, 2005) |

I saw and sat on a Ulyses last week at Chick's Buell in New Mexico....Scott's not kidding, it's a TALL bike. It had the luggage on it and the trunk bag was all scuffed up on the tail. The sale guy said one of the mechanics was doing wheelies and went over onto the trunk. I bet they don't or can't do that with he bagger Harley's |

Want to let you all know about a great rally this weekend: The Baxter Cycle Rally in Marne, Iowa. It's really a customer appreciation two-day affair. Saturday there are Triumph demo rides and lots of great bikes and riders from all over (all kinds -- Cruiser, Sport, vintage, and more) and Sunday is the bike show (a really good one) and free picnic. Marne is off I-80, exit 51 (I think, closer to Council Bluff than Des Moines), and is a great ride up 59 in Missouri to Avoca where you hit 83E to Walnut, then right to Marne. Should take you 3-1/2 hours (Well, you Buell guys will be faster!!!!). The bike show is well worth the trip as is the backroom where there are about 100 great vintage English bikes for sale, most in running condition. See ya there. |

Good meeting the guys that were out last night. Riding with other Buells is really taking some getting used to! I'm used to standing out amongst the rice bunners. Maybe next time Sam will be able to get the beast running! I've been hearing about that bike since I've been in KC, and I'm looking forward to seeing it up on one thundering down the road! If you guys want to ride post up on my site! www.kcsriders.com Later. James |

Here's a route I was thinking about taking on Labor Day to catch the Ferries Bueller Ride. The route would be about 200 miles to the junction of US 136 & Us 63 (Ferries's south bound route) Ferries and the Iowa Gang have about 170 miles from Waterloo to the same junction. I think we could work the timing of the connection. Is anyone up for this ride leaving early Labor Day morning? The route is Us69 north to Mo-6 East to Mo-5 North to US136 East to the Junction of US136 & Us 63 (Message edited by gowindward on August 20, 2005) |

Looks like we have 5 for the ride so far plus myself. It also looks like Kirksville is the best rendezvous point since it's the closest fuel stop near US-136 & US-63. I asked Jerry to give me an ETA for Kirksville, so I'll post a ride start time once we know that. |

Loren, Let me know where you are meeting up with Ferris in Kirksville, as this is the area that I am planning on trying to meet them. Thought they were passing through Novinger and not actually going into Kirksville??? Keith |

This is my planned route. About 83 miles for me. Kirksville is a bit larger than it looks on a map. If meeting there, you might want a specific location. I personally don't know the town that well. College town though. Keith |

Looks more like we would meet him at US-136 & MO-149, which is bit North and West of Kirksville. I took to quick a look at Jeff's map and thought the route was down US-63, which it's MO-149 |

Sam, No problem, I am still catching crap about dying out before Backwaters on Saturday. Must have been wore out from my head spinning around looking at all the eye candy earleir that night (and trying not to get caught doing it). I'll show him the video after I get in a bit more practice myself. Don't want to ruin a good thing yet!! Catch you the 5th in the middle of MO somewhere on Ferris's route. Keith |

Well, after numerous beers last night I stumbled on the problem with the firebolt. It's got a busted throttle shaft. screws are still intact! I've got another throttle body on my spare motor just a matter of swapping the shafts and having the TPS reset. thanks to Bill Cobb for the use of his bore scope. will be terrorizing once again soon. |
