I like that last one! I like them both actually, but the symetry of the last appeals to me. |

Here's another one, again, Brankin's idea to add this bit.

I think I'm gonna change my bikes color when I get back, soak it in some Rit's dye.

Like the first one with the state over the c3. If you get bored, can you try connecting the 3 to the top opening of the C rathen than the bottom? It would look like C Cubed that way, and I believe that was one abbreviation that was used for this group. |

David, The artwork looks great! Thanks for your contributions even though you are so far from home right now. Last night (well maybe it was early this morning) after Carlos and I finished up the '06 drive belt installation on his M2 we discussed the artwork. (Can't wait until Carlos posts pictures of the belt we took off of it...) Some of the ideas we had (before seeing your latest iterations) were: 1. Having the outline of the state of NC around the Carolina (of Carolina Corner Carvers) on top. This would push the C3 image more towards the center (better balance perhaps). This could also allow the BRAG logo to be made a little more prominent. 2. Still having an arrow coming out of the top of the C3 image as our thoughts were that we still wanted to have the logo resemble a road sign. This may be creatively put in so that the C3 image is still readily recognizable (but the software being used may be the limitation). Hopefully Carlos will summarize anything I've missed as that is all I can remember right now... Thanks for picking up my slack! The artwork looks great! 1313 |

Quick note- Ray Price HD/Buell has a Sunset Orange XB12Ss Lightning Long in stock. It may not be on display yet, but if you ask the right person you may still get to check it out. |

So Spike, To pick up on our conversation when we were at Dave's house checking out the new bikes for '06... Does it actually look orange in person or red like it does on the website? 1313 |

I'd like to get there relatively early Saturday morning so we can get a decent parking spot and have some time to check out the vendors and what-not before the racing starts. Do you guys want to try and meet up somewhere and ride to VIR together or do you want to arrange to meet somewhere at the track? |

Saturday! Saturday! Saturday! It doesn't sound as good as three Sundays with the deep voice and the echo machine but definitely Saturday is the day to go. Who's going? I sent the write up for the picture to Shelton for his blessing. John Martindale wants me to stop by and pick up 2006 lit and DVD, they're in. I'm planning to ride to Goldsboro this Sunday and get it. I'll check with him while I'm there on when the new Uly will arrive. According to the list Jeremy in Smithfield had, at least one XB12X will ship to one of the Shelt's stores 9/9. I'll try to find out which one. I played around a little with the C3 sign concept in Power Point. The signs do not look as good as David's. David, the last concept is close, but how about the "C" over the "3", I'm still trying. One of the gals that I worked with left to start her own printing business. She can do magnets and stickers. I taked to her about our concepts and she stated that she can make stickers for the bikes and magnets for the cars. I don't know who I would go to for the patches. In time we will figure it out. You know during the meeting last week I forgot to mention that we wanted to see if anyone would be interested in an Advanced Riders Edge or Motorcycle Safety Course. These courses are meant to be taken by riders that have at least several thousand miles under their belt and you ride your own bike. I know that Lenior Community College wanted to offer the course but could not find enough interest. In this case, we were thinking that we may find enough interest within our group and maybe the local HOG group could pitch in enough interest that we could approach either a Rider's Edge instructor or a local Community College to set up a course. Sound off if you would be interested and if there is enough interest we can start planning something. |

Hey, My father in Law told me that he is a little behind but he will have the picture in a couple days. Mike and I rode up to Ray Price's today and looked at the 12Ss. Not bad, the new intake looks cool. The color was ok, but I was feeling that with a little sun, dirt, wash, age, etc. that the red is going to become flourescent orange. The seat looks lots more comfortable(and softer), and perhaps wider although that is hard to judge without another to compare. Later guys, Larry |

Advanced Rider course- name the price and I'm there, assuming the course isn't run by MSF know-it-alls that insist on doing the minor things a certain way like using 4 fingers to operate the front brake. About the 12Ss, I like it. I wouldn't replace my 12R with it, but it definitely has a place in the Buell lineup. It really fits in as an XB-M2 with quality components. Change the styling a little and you could get away with calling it a Cyclone. Compared to the standard Lightning it's a little bit bigger, a little more comfortable, and probably a bit more stable. The seat is large and soft, like a longer version of the City-X seat. I'd venture to say that it's the most passenger friendly Buell this side of the Ulysses. The color is interesting. It's not as red as it looks on the website, but it's not as orange as the sunset orange that came on the Blast. The wheels appeared to be just a shade more red than the bodywork. They were almost a hot red color. The downside is that they're not a cool translucent finish like the current XB12 models, they're just a standard gloss finish. |

Okay, is it C3 or C(cubed)3? You want the arrow out of the C at the top or the 3 at the top or at the bottom? Do you want the arrow the way it is curving out of the 3 or C? What color? A border like above or not? What shape, diamond, octogan, triangle? Geez, can't please everybody. |

I found someone, online, that does patches. She said they have made patches for motorcyle groups in the past, boy scout stuff, all kinds of patches. I sent her and image to get an idea of how much it would cost. I told her that no decision has been made, but that we were looking into it and was interested in the cost. I'll let you know something. I'm sure there are many other places to get some made, just found this one and emailed them to get an idea. They are out of Florida. I'm sure there are places in Eastern NC that can do the job as well. I acutally sent her the last image, but it has the BRAG logo from the one above it with the white in it. WWW.Idealpatch.com |

David, these last two look good. I have been working on some ideas too, but can not seem to get the files small enough for the web site. One idea, can the outside be the state with the sign inside it. That leaves more room for the "C3". I'm still trying to get some of my ideas up here. Your logos are better, but just trying to bounce ideas around.
