Hey Chad, I got the CD yesterday. Holy cow did you get some great pictures and videos! I guess that spot you had for Bubba's performance was really good. As promised (threatened?) I have put up a whole slew of my pictures from Homecoming. I tried to show everything in order to let everyone know what all you missed (hint: What you could see next year if you attend Homecoming...). The pictures are in the Tale Section under the heading 'A 100K on the way to Homecoming and a bunch of fun!' or just click here:http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/6817/125058.html?1120373968 It took over 3 hours to post them all (I guess being focused was why I only drank 2 beers during this time), I think I overcame my fear of writing too much and I hope it convinces people to attend Homecoming next year. Spike, You might notice something related to your discovery in my write up on Homecoming. G'night all, 1313 |

Glenn, I had a good time at the Smoke Out (it didn't compare to past years, but...it wasn't a total waste of time either) as well and it was great meeting you there. I've noticed a couple of your posts recently, but it never seemed appropriate to respond (there I go again, trying to be appropriate...). M2nc's relative's digs are indeed near Winston-Salem, or to be a bit more precise in the area of Fancy Gap. We have yet to make an excursion there. With our Spring trip planned right between our run to Daytona and our run to T.W.O. the timing just wasn't right. We will definitely have to get up there, but I know my S2 still has the dreaded corded tire syndrome, and Carlos's M2 may still be in the same shape. One thing is for sure though, when we do go up there, we will be in touch. 1313 |

So, who's up for a trip to Deal's Gap? I know at least one Bueller and badwebber that will be coming down to the Gap in October, but I am not sure of the weekend yet. They are going to camp, but I am unsure of what I will be doing yet. Anybody, anybody? 1313 |

I've had weekends off since the end of February and have only gone on one overnight ride since. I can't guarantee I can make the trip to the gap until I know a date and can get it scheduled in, but I'm definitely looking to ride somewhere. Keep me posted. Mike L. |

Hey Larry, Can't tell you anything about Dave. Maby he is on vacation? Read your other post about getting your wife on a Blast. MSF class is a great way to do that. Thats what made me decide I wanted one. |

I'm still here, just somethings have changed. First, I want to apologize for not saying anything sooner, my plan had been to let everyone know just before my last day, but, Pauletta had a bad medical procedure that left her incapacitated for 8 days and I was busy with that. When we got Pauletta through that, we went on sabatical to Cincinnati for a week to let her heal up some. She's fine now. So to my point, I've left Shelton's H-D/Buell. We parted on good terms and there's nothing "wrong" with them, I just wasn't making the kind of money I needed to make to stick with it. The money during the season was enough to stay afloat but not enough to put any aside to compensate for the lean times, i.e. winter. So, what I have done is resigned now and I am enolled in a CDL school (truck driver training) and am going drive a truck for a while. After selling several drivers motorcycles and seeing what they make, I began to think about it and it started to make sense in my situation. Is it my final career choice? Doubt it, but will get me out of the hole I created by moving to N.C. and then getting back into the motorcycle business while still in debt. All I've done is gone back to being an enthusiast which I'm better at than a sales professional as it were. I'm still going to be involved with the BRAG chapter, I'm still the Treasurer, just lost the post of dealer liasion. Actually, I'll probably now be in a better position to help move the chapter along now than I was when I was at the dealership. So, all is cool, I wasn't fired, there's no problems between Shelton's and I other than I think they're disappointed I didn't stay. I'm going to get back to being able to ride with y'all some, post on Badweb, get back to having fun with the bikes again. Maybe I can still help Shelton's sell a Buell now and then, that's really all I care about. To be honest, I really don't care for too much in the Harley line-up any how outside of possibly the V-Rod. I'm more a Buell/Triumph/Ducati kind a guy. Out of this came some good. Pauletta got the Harley she's always wanted, I rekindled some Buell passion at Shelton's I think, and met a bunch of new people, made some new friends. With that said..........when we ridin' next folks! Buell to Ya' Dave |

About Deal's Gap in October- my wife's birthday is on the 23rd (Sunday) so I most definitely can't go anywhere that weekend. As long as we plan it for another weekend I'm in. I'm not against camping, but given my XB's lack of luggage capacity it's certainly easier to pack a credit card for a motel than it is to pack a sleeping back for camping. Did you want to just run down Saturday and come back Sunday or were you thinking of taking a day off of work to give us an extra day to explore the area? |

Ok, looking for some opinions out there. I am really unhappy with my HJC CL-14, and looking for some ideas. I am looking at a Scorpion EXO700, I would like a Shoei or a Arai, but its just not in my budget. Also want something that matches my bike somewhat, Black XB12R. Any opinions good or bad is welcome. I'm game. As far as the meetings are concerned, looks like the officers are going to have to drop back and punt, re-group. We can call tomorrow a meeting if everyone wants. Anyone have any place in particular they want to go? |

Hey, I am game...just spent most of the day with my dad at Harley hang outs, hundreds of H-D's...Guess whose bike always drew the crowd...Just goes to show there is interest, just most of them are afraid to admit they like it. Let me know whats up and where Michaels is if thats where you are meeting. Larry |

Hey Guys, I just got back from the beach and am here with Dave. We want to get a ride together for tomorrow and it seems that Michael's is the place. So I guess we will have to get an early start if we want to make it on time to see the other bikes. So Brandy if you want to meet at the Fuel Warehouse between 7:30am to 8am, we will meet you there. Larry, I am not sure exactly where you live in the Raleigh area, but we are going to 13-301 just south of Chapel Hill. If you want we can meet up with you in the Raleigh area and ride in from there. If there is anyone else that wants to join in the ride, just sound off. We will see where the best place to meet up with you is. Hope to see everyone tomorrow. |
