Dreamland Barbeque was pretty good. I had a pork sandwich. It has a good casual atmosphere but you'll see folks wearing suites having ribs for lunch. I guess I messed up and didn't have the ribs so I'll be back. The dipping white bread in barbeque sauce as an appetizer was a bit odd though. Oh...and the sweet tea is great. DAve |

Hey...Glad you made it to Dreamland and, yes, what we're wanting back here is a RIB REPORT!...So now you just have an excuse to go back...Was the bread good?...As in fresh baked or was it just bread?...And what did you think of the sauce?...John gave me some as a gift and he was disappointed in it...Said the stuff they bottled was not what he remembered...And the sauce is supposed to be their thing...I just too a look at your weather and you're supposed to be 62 tomorrow...Go ride! Bob (and anyone interested in a used '99 M2), I hate to be writing this, but circumstances have led me to put the M2 up for sale. I've loved it but I haven't been able to ride enough to justify keeping it. I guess buying a new car a couple months later didn't help either. I've posted an ad in the STL P-D and the classifieds of this site. If you know of anyone who might be interested please have them contact me. Thanks, Steve Clough (314) 878-5153, smc@prin.edu |

I just got off the phone with Tom Sullivan, our West Tennessee State Director, to discuss an idea with him...Tom had posted on the national list to see if there was any interest in organizing a HSTA event around the Art of the Motorcycle presentation at the Pyramid in Memphis...His idea was to host a guided ride where they would show us their good local roads...I noticed that there is an event planned for the weekend the show opens...On Saturday, April 23rd, there is a ride in to the show from two starting points in Memphis...Included in your $30 registration fee is a limited edition ride patch and pin, post ride party entrance ticket, food at the party and admission into The Art of the Motorcycle exhibition...Info regarding this event can be found at: http://www.wonders.org/current/opening_ride.php What we had in mind is riding down to Memphis Friday afternoon/evening...Participating in the event on Saturday and dinner Saturday evening at the Rendezvous (great, great BBQ), and meet our Tennessee brothers and sisters for breakfast on Sunday...After which they will show us three our four hours of good roads before we head up the river to home... TT...We could even try and ride the roads in eastern Arkansas that we were rained out on in December coming back from Cajun Christmas... So, what do you all think and would you be interested?... Ill. police hope cameras will catch speeders Starting in July, drivers who speed through construction zones on Illinois highways could get a surprise in the mail: a photo of themselves behind the wheel and a $375 speeding ticket. As part of a crackdown on speeding in construction zones, Illinois state troopers will rove the state in two "photo enforcement" vans equipped with cameras and radars. One van will operate in construction zones in the northern part of the state, the other in the southern part of the state. State troopers will drive the vans from one construction zone to another, then gauge speeds and take photos of drivers and license plates from the vans. |

Did I tell you guys i took the Buell to Putnam? Had a GREAT time! The Bridgestones were absolutely awsome. My racer friend said his knee hit the ground on the first lap with no drama. He even said he led the expert division all the way around the track, just to get passed on the straight. He loved it - I loved it. Only thing, only the last session the bike didn't want to idle going out, and half way through, it took a giant lean gulp of air coming on the throttle in the Bus Stop (Turn 7?) and felt like it died. Very Scary. I took it out on the street for a short ride at 3000 RPM and it smoothed out. This bike is so weird. Had my ZX-10R there too, and that was a hoot as well. |

Hello Buellers, I live in North Carolina. Considering making a trip ti MT. Vernon Ill. around June 6-10thish. Will be traveling on to Belleville to visit with my father. Kicking around the idea of trailering the bike up to see what kind of riding is available up in your area. I was born in that area, but been so long since I have been home, don't know what the "in's" and "outs" are. Thanks, JIM Also posted a thread on the quick board. |
