Brandy, I hope you enjoyed the show if you went. A few people from work wanted to go to the night show on Friday night if the 'mini-hurricane' wouldn't have postponed it a night. We were all going to pile into someones minivan in order to avoid the traffic issues. I am thinking the interested parties will be going next year for the night show in case you didn't make it and would like to catch it next year. Carlos, Let me/us know the M2 behaves now. I know after your test flight at 3:00 this morning you said all was aces, but with some use some minor refinements/adjustments may be needed. I guess we don't need to worry about you showing up at the BRAG meeting next weekend with 'the wings but not the horse', now do we? Southern, Good to hear from you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hopefully we'll be able to catch up with you when you are home. Buellish/Carlos, How come every picture Jim took of me at T.W.O. shows me with a beer in my hand (or near vicinity)? I think you guys are working with Court to get some evidence on me or something... 1313 |

1313, Kristi and I went for a ride tonight on the M2. It shifts smoothly, better than ever. I plan to ride it to work all week to make sure I have all issues resolved. So I guess for now the horse is invited to the party. |

Just a reminder- NESBA at VIR this weekend. I'll be riding the 14th. I'll have my wife with me and I'll be meeting my brother in law at the track. Should I expect any spectators? Mike L. |

Thanks guys, I wanted to go but didn't make it. I heard the show was great but was full of sun burns and traffic. Hopefully next year... Oh, is the Brag meeting this weekend? Brandy |

What is the deal for the BRAG meeting this Sunday? I haven't gotten any minutes from the last meeting. I hope Spike hasn't been spending too much time in the skirt that came with the secretary office... I believe that the meeting is at the Shelton's store in Smithfield, but do not remember the time it is supposed to start. If memory serves it is also supposed to include a ride from the Eastern part (starting in Jacksonville possibly), but I do not know for sure the details. M2nc or Ayden, Can either of you clarify/correct the statements above? I will be going out of town tomorrow afternoon and returning home late Saturday in order to make this meeting. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone that I ended up not meeting because I missed the last meeting! 1313 |

Sorry for being so quiet as of late but between the killer hours I've been putting in and the computer being attacked by virus', I've had some challenges as of late. Carlos is putting together a ride for Sunday, and we'll be having the meeting Sunday also. I asked to have the meeting held at Goldsboro this month even though we said we'd do it at Smithfield as a favor to me as I'm going to have to work this Sunday and would like to be part of it. I hope everyone understands. The ride Carlos would like to put on is one that would be well worth everyone's time and effort. He's wanting to take the club to Maple Hill then points North and West. Maple Hill has some very good and scenic roads with the grandaddy in the area being Old Maple Hill Rd. It's a 8-10 mile stretch that has become legendary in the east as THE road for sport bikers and motorcyclists in general. WEll maintained, sparsely populated and twisty as all get-out, it's a challenging road that rewards a good rider on a good machine and can severely spank the overconfident or foolish. It is truly a 'Buell Certified' road. Also in the area is the coolest place called "Holland's Shelter Creek Fish Camp" on Hwy 53 near the south end of OMH (Old Maple Hill) that has some the best catfish, along with some atmosphere that feels as if you were near Deal's Gap. I really encourage everyone to make this one, you won't be disappointed. I'm bummin' cause I can't make it but, please, everyone who can, do it!!!! Dave |

Dave, I just got your message. That'll learn me to leave the phone in the house when I'm out in the garage. I just got done doing about half the things we did with Carlos's M2 last weekend. Not to rub it in, but it took me less than 2 hours... and unfortunately I can't celebrate like we did Saturday night... Anyways, I will be there on Sunday! Old Maple Hill Road - YES, YES, YES! Goldsboro is fine with me. I'm assuming the time is dependent on the rider's ariving @ Sheltons... 1313 |

Hi Guys, I know I threw out an idea for a ride east to west before, I would like to put a formal ride together. Who is in for a ride that maybe starts in New Bern, goes to Jacksonville (then Maple Hill) and then ride back to Goldsboro (then to Smithfield if we think we can handle the distance). I know we talked about riding to Smithfield, but again I have received no feedback from those out west and I know we have at least five interested in meeting in Goldsboro. Also the mileage is adding up. Between New Bern and Smithfield there are two of my favorite roads, Snake Road and County Line Road. We then can ride to Jacksonville, maybe stopping at New River HD/Buell. We continue south to Maple Hill and we take the best road out east, Old Maple Hill Rd. After two passes on Old Maple Hill Rd we turn north up SR 50 to US 117. Turn off US 117 on SR 403 passed Williams to Sleepy Creek. Passed Sleepy Creek we continue north back US 117 to Goldboro HD. We can have our meeting in Goldsboro or if everyone feels they want to ride more, we can ride up Old Smithfield RD to Smithfield. I will leave that up to the rest of the group, but Dave and maybe John will be stuck at Goldsboro. Anyway, let me know what you think and who is interested in the ride. |

First off: Happy Friday the 13th, everyone!!! Just remember, the only thing worse than Friday the 13th is Saturday the 14th... Secondly: I will be participating in Sunday's ride. What time and where will we meet up? If I am reading M2nc's post right, we go from New Bern to Smithfield to Jacksonville to Goldsboro (and possibly back to Smithfield depending on the thoughts of the group)... I am up for having the meeting at Goldsboro in order to include Dave and John, but would not be opposed to riding to Smithfield if the rest of the group prefers it. 1313 |

Spike, I'll be getting to VIR Saturday evening & setting up a tent for riding Sunday & Monday. I'll look for your red XB12 when I get there. Keep an eye out for a blue M2 on a trailer behind a Subaru wagon. |

Okay, updates and corrections. First correction; two of my favorite roads are between New Bern and Jacksonville (Not Smithfield) Second correction; County Line Road intersects with the road I was thinking about. On the Craven county side it is called Brices Creek Rd, turns into Island Creek Rd on the Jones county side. Either way its a favorite of motorcyclist in the area. Meeting Place & Time In James City, at the north entrance to the Craven County Regional Airport there is a strip mall and a Wendy's Hamburger restaurant across the street(Williams Rd). How about meeting at the Wendy's at 8am. There are gas stations and watering holes right there so we can gas up and go. I am open to suggestions, if someone wants to alter the plan. I believe we are going to be able to make the ride with plenty of time. I am estimating about 150 to 175 mile ride from New Bern to Goldsboro. Add the ride home and that should be about a perfect day. Let me know what you think. |

Hi, I wanted to say "Hello" to Everyone and introduce myself. I should be picking up my new Firebolt this week maybe tomorrow depending on my weird work schedule, from Dave. But I mentioned the Buell to a family friend in Stokesdale(north of Greensboro), and they know someone who won 2 2003 Blast. He is selling 1, it has 500 miles and is Black. $2000 . Seemed to be such a good price someone here might know someone needing a good starter bike. If you are interested let me know and I will give you the contact info. So anyway I hope to talk and maybe meet you all sometime soon. Larry |

Brandy, Yes the event in Kinston does sound cool (especially with my non-feasible idea), but I'll be off to Myrtle Beach again this weekend. This is exactly why we need to get a calendar of our events created - to avoid scheduling snafu's like this in the future. I forgot to keep in everyone's mind that the 18th of June is Bubba's stunt show at New River in Jacksonville. I don't recall this being put in the notes to go into our calendar... Larry, Welcome to the madness, the board and the madness of the board. You couldn't have picked a better person to buy a Buell from. 1313 |

Aw, c'mon now, you're making me blush Larry, welcome to the sickness! It just gets chronic from here on. We'll definitely do Kinston this Saturday, I'll send up the flare here in a bit. Yes, we need a calendar, what we didn't discuss was who was going to develop the calendar, D-oh! Dave |

Well I'll let everyone know something as soon as I know something. I got on the KDS site and left a message in their forum asking when are they going to start and how much to get in but nothing. I don't get some of these "promoters" in these parts that want to keep things like what time and how much a freakin' secret. Then you listen to them bitch and moan about "how no one ever shows up at their races". Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine. The second thing is this: I'm beginning to put together the info to get out to everyone concerning the Formula USA/CCS race at VIR. Guess what? That's right, Clear Channel the promoter for Formula USA/CCS hasn't announced what the pricing is! ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!! I do know that all tickets are sold at the gate! Last year it was $15 for Sat, $20 for Sun, and if I remember right, $30 for both days. Was that right Carlos? Anyway, who wants to go? |

O.K., I'm probably just talking to myself at this point, but KDS has decided not to run this Saturday night. So, no bike race this Saturday night. I am going to do Hooters in Greenville N.C. Wednesday evening. Anyone up? |

Dave, As long as you are not holding conversations with yourself you are doing okay. However, if you argue with yourself, you really have issues. Hooters sounds very intriguing - for the bike night (yeah right), but considering that the following Saturday I will be headed for East Troy I think all of my 'free' time is spoken for in preparing for my journey. I will be sure to hit the next one - as long as it isn't when I am at Homecoming... 1313 |

Hi, Just wanted to put a message out to those in the Raleigh area. A new store opened up a few weeks ago in Raleigh at the corner of Tryon and 401 on the edge of Garner. cyclegear.com store. Not a parts store, but has tons of accessories, lots of helmets, tires, riding clothes, oils, lubes, riding gear, ramps, just about anything like that(off road gear too). I doubt you will find the nice Buell specific stuff there, but the prices are very good(about mail order rates), and they have a very large selection. They are also open 7 days a week(nice for those needing a fix when others are closed). I know Saturday(maybe Sunday too), they are having a sale, 25% off tires, 10% off everything else. I need a new disc lock, so I will be there myself. Larry ****SALE IS SATURDAY ONLY 9-6******** (Message edited by zxzer04 on May 20, 2005) |

You betcha! Too bad nobody else is going with me. Pics soon after I return (June 7th)... 1313 |
