Click HERE for maps/info The same truck that was at Williamsport will be at Baltimore. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it but you guys will have fun with the demo route Baltimore uses. The one in Williamsport was excellent. |

Okay, I am planing on being in Balt Sat for demo ride. As for the Battle Trax, too early to say.. But, on a sad note concerning Battlefield HD, was there earlier today and found out that one of their parts guys, Chad, was killed in an auto accident. I don't know if any of you have been there before, but if you had, and had an opportunity to meet him, you would remember him. He was a tall guy, long hair , very, very nice fellow. There is usually two or more guys behind the long counter in the parts department, and I would seek him out. He was very helpful, always recognized me, knew my bike, and he and my wife would raz each other. I was shocked to hear this, he was 33, and left behind a wife and two young boys. The last time I talked with him was when I purchased my tail bag. He did'nt have one in stock, and told me they ( Battlefield) will not be carrying many Buell parts anymore, but offered to order anything I wanted. Like I said, he was a great guy to work with, very helpful, and genuine. |

For those of you not interested in the usual Bike Week type activities, I would be happy host some alternatives. Just be ready to log some miles on Worcester County's lesser known roads. SteveH |

John, Not sure if I can make it.. I'll be getting set for the Buell Adventure.. I think.. And have to ration my vacation time. Sorry.. OCBueller, One of these days, I'd love to take you up on your offer.. So, by way of courtesy, I'll send the same back to you.. Come out my way (Northern VA) and I'll show you some of our lesser-known twisted roads.. At least, until I've gotten through showing them to a few others that will spread the word.. Jose.. When are we gonna hook up and I can show you some of the other roads around my place that I know you'll like? (Oh and everyone else is invited as well..) I'll be 'pre-riding' my annual "Sport Ride" for my SCRC Chapter and could use some input from other aggressive, obsessive, back road warrior types... We can set a date after Rollin' Thunder/Summit Point races.. What say? |

You mean Monday the 30th? Yes Same ride leaving HDW at 8 am, we should be at the Roy Rogers in Leesburg at around the same time as before (9-9:30) The racing will be from the 28th to the 30th so you could go on Sunday if you want too. I'm thinking about it, but I might do Rolling Thunder instead. |

It was a blast!! We did a bracket event, then the cruisers against each other then the Sportbikes. Bev won the Bracket (0.02 or something like that off her target time), I won the Cruiser class and Bob on his SV won the Sportbike class, did a 39 second lap on his last try to win it. Mike and I took a bunch of pictures, they'll show up somewhere soon. After we rode through the battlefield for a while. Great day all around. |

Monday, May 30th - Summit Point II Ride. Leave HDW at 8:00 AM to watch the FUSA Road Racing Action, including the Buell dominated Thunderbike Class. HD/Frederick will have a hospitality tent there, free lunch for Buellers, and you get to eat alongside the riders! Gate Fee $15. So you can do Rolling Thunder on Sunday and go watch races on Monday. |

Hmmm.. We could (sort of) reverse the roads we came back on last time.. Except from Rt. 9 take Harpers Ferry Rd. Then Left on 340, Left, up the hill into the twisties back to 9.. To 51 to Summit Point Rd.. or some variation of that? Just a thought or three... Yes, it makes it a longer run, but the roads that way are quite.. invigorating.. hehehehehe... Or we could come home that way again.. Still have some roads I wanna show you after you get back from HomeComing. |

Chase, I am familiar with your area, have a sister down there, and was stationed there for many years. The time distance from the tunnel to Fort Washington is around 3 hours, depending on traffic and route taken. You can head up 301 from 295 ( Richmond ) for a nice road. If you where lookin to go to Summit Point, it's just outside Charles Town West, Va. If you went all highway (64/95/270/340) your lookin at about a 4 hours. I ride to Richmond alot, and plan on going to Va. Beach a few times this summer, maybe meet up with you one time. Take care,Greg |

I'll try to make it to HDW before 8:00 AM. If not I'll catch up along the way or see you all there. Side note, any of you guys have the Technoresearch VDSTS for Buell? I ordered it last week, arrive last night and the damn thing won't make a connection to ECM. I've tried it on my laptop Win98 and workstation Win XP Home Edition. My goal before this weekend was to verify the static timing and reset TPS. It's running to lean, exhaust getting cherry red. I spoke to techno they had no idea why it won't connect. They want me to send it back to them. Wondering if one of you can connect yours to my bike to make sure it's not the cable/SCM module. Here is what I emailed them: The VDSTS standard version (Buell VDO-EFI) TR2000 PC is not connecting to my bike. what is this part number TR2000 PC? Here are the things I have tried, first loaded the standard ver 2.73-F which came with the package along with a serial cable, a male serial adapter to connect to the other cable which goes to the ECM hookup. Software starts but does not get past the SCM Dongle screen which has two fields listed Product Name and Version # fields are blank. It says "Note: You Must Connect to Vehicle to Configure System. This will be required for the first time." One other box “Connection”comes up when I click configuring, it says i must connect first and list 4 steps to follow 1)Select Manufacturer/ECM 2)Select Com port 3)Connect Diagnostic Cable to vehicle 4)Connect Battery power cable if required. I have tried on a laptop running win98 and also on a pc running XP. I uninstalled the software, downloaded ver 2.75-D standard PC. No luck, does the same thing. I can not choose Manufacturer/ECM or Connect icon, but can choose Comport. Almost all Menu items and just about every menu icon is faded out, can not be chosen. The bike is a 2003 firebolt XB9R with Buell Race kit (muffler, race ECM, K&N air filter). I can send you screen captures if it will help, just need an email address i can send it to. Any suggestions? Do you think an older version say 2.71 will work? Is it a bad SCM Dongle(cable)? (Message edited by firewhirl on May 26, 2005) |

Jose, You guys have fun riding this weekend. The shop says that I'll have my bike back in a week or 2. We'll see how that goes. I'll see you at the next Brag meeting. BTW, Linda's fender is harder to repair than I thought, so I am taking it down to my Brother's house as he is much more skilled with a welder than I am. He should be able to get it fixed pretty soon.
