We are all unloaded in Janesville as well!!! The movers loaded yesterday and delivered today. We pretty much filled a semi trailer! I was very glad to not be doing all of that moving. We currently have an apartment full of boxes and a 10x20 storage unit packed to the gills! |

I see that someone is selling Hals Demo race bike. The add states that the reserve is over $10,000. I think they may be hard pressed to get that on a used XB9, modified or not. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4547330597&ca tegory=49984 |

Tis a beautiful bike. If I remember correctly, Hal's had it listed at $12.6 a year ago. I put an offer in on the bike, but they already had a deal in finance and we unsure if it would go through. From what I understand the deal did fall through but the (short term) salesman that had my info just forgot to call. That bike is just way too cool and worth every nickel as Hal's Build them Right!!! |

My recollection is that the "modifications" were merely cosmetic. Wasn't it just the bodywork and a chain conversion (with Hal's special swingarm)? Not worth the time and effort or money, IMHO. |

I am pretty sure it had motor work as well. I think a full race kit, and it is a 9 punched out to 1350, I think. |

It was bored, stroked and had the chain conversion and the Sharkskinz upper, lower and tail. |

Ride to Dundee this Sunday Might be the only one I make all summer. Kandie and Bobbie are coming up to spend the weekend. Comp. Todd is going with us too. We'll be there at 1pm. I haven't heard back yet from other Appleton members. Who else can make it? The weather is supposed to be great! Please reply to the thread in the quick board (Message edited by daves on May 10, 2005) |

The wife and I will most likely be there, weather permitting of course. Toni can ride whenever she wants now. She passed her rider's edge course with flying colors last night!(100% on the written, and 97% on the riding portion). |

Good for her! My wife did exactly the same! But she can't make it. She's having a rummage sale. I have to get out of the house! |

What did your wife miss on the riding test? Toni overshot the u-turn. I talked to her teacher, and he said "she came in with good skills, just needed some confidence". I musta taught her well |

Karri touched the line on a turn I guess. She was one of four that didn't drop their bike the weekend she took it. Again, great job. She should be proud of herself. |

I dropped the bike when I took the course (not on the test). Being 6'3" it just fell between my legs, I picked it up with on hand and drove on.... Glad I dropped their Buell rather then mine! |

Quick Tire question: I picked up Dana’s D207. It is a 180/55. Got it mounted and balanced yesterday and had to take the bike to Kutter to have the front done due to a stripped bolt. The 180/55 looks like it is closer to the rear fender than the 170/60. Although I can’t honestly say I paid attention when removing the old tire from the bike. Will the 180/55 rub the fender when heated up? Should I remove the fender? Thanks Congrats Toni!!! |

Aaron....do you have cast or PM rims? The PM rims are slightly wider which doesn't cause the tire to "peak" as tall. My 180 tire fits perfect on the S3T with PM rims. No rubbing on the fender. I'm not sure you'll get the same results with a cast alloy rim. My guess is you'll be fine either way. |

Lake, PM's. Griz answered me under the Belle City thread. He said same as you. No problem. My bike is currently at Kutter Harley/Buell in Janesville. One of the bolts on the front caliper was stripped. I would rather have them get it out than me! I think the service writer was a little annoyed with me. I quick thru the rear tire on when I got home yesterday. Didn't have time to reinstall the rear brake pads, or else I wouldn't have gotten to Kutter before they closed. I had to tell the service writer there was no rear brake, reverse pattern shifting, and that I had not really test rode the new rear! I think he got tired of making notes on the order. My wife is dropping off the brake pads, since they want them installed before they test ride the new front tire. Looks like I could be riding in the rain this weekend on my way to MI. I may cheat and take the ferry over to Muskegon on Saturday. |

if it wasn't supposed to rain, and was like 60+ out, I would do it just for the heck of it, and to return your helmet. Why whatcha need? |

Part number H0023.F. The allen bolt that holds the brake pads in on the front caliper. I took my bike to Kutter because it was stripped and I didn't want to screw around with it, so bite the bullet and pay them to remove it and switch out the front tire. They don't have the bolt in stock. Had I know this yesterday when they ordered the part, I could have stopped at Hal's on my way downtown to teach.... |

See, I thought about buying the tires online, and installing them myself. But then I looked at our upcoming threats at work(customers telling us we're getting the work.), and it just wasn't worth my time. I can say I *LOVE* the scorpions. They seem to be better in every aspect to the Dunlop 207s that were on it. |
