Spoke to Innes on Saturday (as I was laying on my death bed, damn...I hate being sick). Sounds like we have a decent plan for bikes and a chase vehicle. Now if the weather would finally break |

Grumpy, If you're going to the races on Saturday and on Sunday then register. If you want to eat dinner with everyone else then register. If you just want to hang out in the parking lot and local bars and restaurants in the evenings and afternoons then it's your option. If you're from out of town then register. You're in France, so if you're coming then just register, life will be simpler, or simplerer . Pale, that wasn't the sun, one of the salt trucks just left their headlights on. |

BTW, I should be able to chip the "lock" (6-9" of ice) off the bottom of the garage door soon... Has anyone heard if Crusty has tunneled out yet (his area got almost 3/4 of the average snow we get here, he must be going insane! ) Oz |

Oz...I think you make #8 if we bunk up. If the archives are correct, the current housing list is: 1) Myself 2) Mark (Palerider) 3) Roger (Grndskpr) 4) John (Bomber) 5) Innes (Mr Grumpy) 6) Bill (Newfie) 7) Alex (Awprior) 8) Oz666 That takes care of all the beds/futons/couches. We should still have some floor space available for any others. Oh yeah...can't bet the price of $15.63/person/night |

I paid a deposit of the first night's rate plus tax. The rest is due upon arrival. We can figure that out later. The date of arrival in Fontana Dam is Sunday, May 29. We're leaving Chicago on Saturday. I beleive we have to be out on Wednesday. Depending on when we leave, we could be back in time for lunch on Thursday at the factory. Looking forward to some good riding. We're expecting another 2-4 inches of the white stuff by the end of tomorrow!!! But there is light at the end of the tunnel. 10 day forecast calls for low to mid 40's next week (while I'm on vacation). Later, Mennis |

Well, Just to give a bit of history on last years adventures. As many of you know I am an instructor with the bike training program up this way. The past two summers I have spent on the average of over 400hrs each year with that organization. Seeing that our summers are so short and the kids are only off for three months this summer my focus will be the boys and you that were here last summer met those guys. We all have new to us bikes from a Honda Mini-Moto, Honda Z50, Kawasaki KLX110 and the Yamaha BW80, throw the DR650 into the equation and we are going to take the 400plus hrs and ride. Next Summer I will be ready to roll once again. Now if anyone wants to come up this way I certainly will have time for a few adventures. |

Here is one of the bikes, Roger, you remember Connor. I actually want to get him riding and get him conditioned to go a couple hundred kilometers a weekend later in the summer. As you know Newfoundland no longer has any Railways and the old Rail Bed is utilized for ATV, Dirt Bike and Ski Doo Trails. You can go from one end of the island to the other offroad. |
