Jungletym, nice post and welcome !! Good to see you enthusiastic about this club and hope to see this club grow, overcome any issues it may have had, and be successful. I'm a multi-club member and every club has something positive to contribute, and I'm sure I'll drop in for a meeting or two !! New clubs should only recieve positive support, and clubs undergoing restructuring deserve only positive support as well !! Non-club members should not post anything negative in Uke's thread as this is their club, please let's all be supportive !! CJ  | ||

Nope, havn't heard anything. I think Kate and Don are still in? I imagine Ukes must have sold some Buells lately so you'd think we'd hear something. I'll try to get a hold of Eva sometime this week to see what's up, and if she can reschedule the meeting to better suit our multi brag schedule. if she won't reschedule then I'll just be a Belle city dingaling. Yes. Both Karri and I are. If there are meeting conflicts, I'm with you, but I don't see why we can't be productive members of both Clubs. I ,personally, don't have problems with anyone one on either front, so I'll continue on until (and I hope there isn't) there is one. As you said, there are good people, and there are some not so good people, but we can't afford to lose ANY BRAG/Buell riders. | ||

Sorry it for the delay in posting information about the club. We do have officers in place and the discussion of moving the meeting time has come up and the two sugggestions are: Wednesdays (evenings) or Saturday mornings. Does anyone have a preference? That would be great Steve! It was Don's idea and I like it for the fact that we can set up short/long rides right after the meetings. | ||

Saturday's do sound good for meetings, then you're already out on the bike for those good warm spring/summer days and a ride, the days I miss sooooo much right now !!!!!!  | ||

What, CJ, it's a sweltering 34 out there. If it wasn't for some ice/snow still on the streets, I certainly would be riding to work About 3-4 more weeks until riding season starts I'm thinking. btw, Toni's bike is now purple, and has a brand spankin' new tank bag and windshield | ||

Saturday's are great. quick meeting then have all day to ride (in the light) no more eatin bugs and watchin for deer. how cool is that. Though Wednesday evenings are fine for me too as long as it's not the second tuesday of the month (helicopter meeting) | ||

I heard those helicopter meetings happen on the second Thursday of each month too.  So far Saturday mornings sound good..... | ||

All wanna ditch your mid-winter blues? check out the Chicago Buells and Blues thread over on Home Court Advantge -- this started as a way to hel Jack Reinhart celebrate his birthday (Jack's an original member of the Buell family in East Troy, and an all 'round loon), and has expanded to an event of Homeric proportions (well, it'll be big fun, at any rate) Saturday night, 26 March, The Tommy Castro Band will play at the Clearwater Theatre (very cool venue for this kinda thing!) in West Dundee -- this band does a great job of playing Chicago-style blues -- contrary to popular urban legend, one cannot hear the water rushing over the edge of the planet form there -- gonna be very cool -- check it out (there may be a surprise guest or three, as well) | ||

Ok so whats the scoop. you won't get much club traffic here (yet) if that's what your looking for. set a meeting date and time so we can get the ball rolling again. there are only a few interested parties that currently use bad web. if you have new recruits we will have to inform them of badweb. | ||

Recap of last minute,short notice,multi BRAG club officers meeting. Well we had 8 people there so not a bad turn out given the short notice. We decided that the second Sunday of every month, starting in May is a gathering at the Hamburger Haus in Dundee. It is, I have been told, already a bike hangout and is right in the middle of the good roads in the Kettle. By doing this we should have a good number of Buell congregating without having to have big group rides. All groups will ride their own route to Dundee and back home. Think mini Rock Store atmosphere. Riders that don't care to ride in a group at all can just ride to Dundee. Meeting time will be 1:00 PM or there abouts. This will also take pressure off club officers as to planning things to do. Those riders that can make it, make it, those that can't, come the next month. It will also make it easy to remember for club members. Other stuff April 30th Erik and the Thunderbolts at Lakeshore HD/Buell May 14th Open House HD/Buell of Appleton Aug 6th River run to Dubuque, Lakeshore HD/Buell July 23rd Stunt Fest at Union Grove Sept 17-18th Ride around Lake Michigan Thanks to Steve for lighting a fire under this project! | ||

Not history Wingnut, meeting is tomorrow, March 23, 6 pm and it is posted on the new bulletin board. Meetings right now will be the third Wednesday of the month with the option to change them to Saturday coming up for a vote. | ||

What Bulletin Board are ya talking about? The one in the store? I was there the other day and saw nothing. One on the internet? I'd love to see the Club continue, but how many people are in it? Like Mike said, if it was 6:30 and no one was there................  | ||

Next meeting is planned for April 20th. We had one person show up for the meeting Wednesday, and we were out by 6:20. As far membership numbers we have committed that seem to be waiting like every one else to see who shows up for meetings. If anyone else wants to commit please contact me. Rocketsprink, the sign was up and (unfortunately) down for the last week. Thanks for the interest everyone. |
