I called "the new guy", got a voice mail. But informed him about the ride, meet at Hals at 10:00AM, and leave by 10:30. So hopefully, we have another active member Got my bike back this afternoon. Amazing what a straight new rotor, new pads, and a pair of new tires transforms a bike. Way cool!!! btw, Koz, the total was around $650. |

Glad to hear the bike is all better Steve. I was looking at a map tonight and it looks like taking Hwy 45 to Kewaskum and then getting of onto Hwy S to Cty Rd G will be a nice route! |

What is this "add oil" that you speak of? Do all bikes require that? |

They do when you drain it to change it! Went for a short ride this morning. Got home drained the oil and the oil filter. Picked up a filter and a couple of quarts of oil while out and about today. |

I spent the day polishing my PM wheels. I will *NEVER* go for a ride in January, and just park the bike. Also put on the rifle windshield, and a new speedo cable. Toni's dad is coming along also, since toni's blast is broken, she's gonna ride in style, in the side car. |

Steve....don't worry about riding in January. Just have your PM rims powdercoated with a clear coat. I had mine done over the winter. While the finish isn't "perfect" (look closely at a powdercoated wheel some time; the imperfections are magnified on the PM wheel); they sure clean up easily. |

I knew you were THINKING about doing it. You musta took the plunge Is it worth it? Do they still look as polished after the powerdercoat? What did it cost ya, and where did you get it done? |

"Is it worth it?" From 6', they look great. Up close, they tend to look "wavey". I was looking closely at the rims on my S1 and can see that it's probably a result of the powdercoat material. It's just a little magnified on the polished rim. "Do they still look as polished...?" Heck hey!!! I'll try to take some pictures after work today. "What did it cost ya..." I polished the rims myself before sending them out so that saved me a little money. The powdercoat was $100 plus tax for both rims. "Where di you get it done?" A company in Green Bay called Spence Industries. Phone number is 920-662-0720. Overall...I'd give them a 8.5 out of 10. The rear wheel looks much better than the front. It was the front right (brake side) that looks the worst. He said that could be attributed to corrosion created from the brake dust. The guys said that no matter how well you polish a used piece, it will never coat as well as new. Have fun a the ride today! I'm working |

A group of us met at Hal's to ride to the Hamburger Haus in Dundee, WI. This is the meeting point that was picked when Appleton Brag, Brew City Brag, and others groups decided to meet the 2nd Sunday of every month. The group meeting at Hal's. Steve, Bill (Toni's Father), and Steve (a new guy) Arriving at the Hamburger Haus Lots of HD's at the neighboring bar The group of Appleton, Joe, Darryl, and Kurt (I think, I am horrible with names) The bikes that left from Hal's Next month the Hamburger Haus will be open... We had a nice ride up through the Kettle Moraine. Leisurely pace and scenic views. Unfortunately I left a little ahead of everyone to get home by 3 p.m. I didn't make it. Seems the laser technology has improved and I was caught on a "speed enforcement day". Not too bad, 79 in a 65.... The May ride will be the 3rd Sunday due to Mother's Day. |

I wouldn't tell anybody anything!! Kinger, our motto while in Vegas was "What happens in Vegas, NEVER happened" !! LOL First day there we went to the pool, over to Jimmy Buffets, then a quick run to the flamingo to all play $20 on the quarter slots !! I kid you not, we 5 girls sat down, I put in my $20, hit the 3 credits and won $1500 !!!! First machine, first hit !! We couldn't believe it and it was very exciting !! And yes I brought it home, paid for my entire trip !! Woo Hoo CJ Welcome Dora and Steve !! |

CJ, That is awesome! Now you can afford to go again. That place is addictive! My friends that went in March (when I couldn't ) made out like bandits. One guy paid for all of his expenses while there and still took home $800 more cash then he left with. It looks like Sara and I may be going over the 4th of July. Her friend is getting re-married. Second time for both of them. So they want to be married by Elvis. |

hey there - thanks for the welcome! i am graduating (with my masters) in june, and starting work in milwaukee august 1 - so thats why i am moving. the roads up here are gorgeous, but the riding season is sooooo short. which is why my bike is still in florida (shipped it down for daytona), hiding from the snow and cold! hi bads1 - sure, i'll certainly going to be through racine as i have tons of chicago friends (lived there for 5 years before grad school) |
