I'm now offically retired.....if I can get a sitter for my kids I can ride. I made the mistake of removing the plate from my X1 (put it on my Roadstar) so I need to safety my Buell to get it back on the road. I'm gonna do it ASAP as I have plans for the bike next year. If you don't mind...that would be following...a trail of sparks (or wait up for me) in the twisties, I'm up for a ride. (Message edited by Caboose on October 24, 2004) |

I don't think you need a safety if the ownership hasn't changed. |

There's gonna be a few of us meeting early in the afternoon Saturday. Pack as many bodies into as few cars as possible. Also talk of an Airhead's Barley Therapy in T'rono Friday night. If Steve drives I'll prolly pile in on that, too. How about you? |

So what did you guys think of the bike show. I was there Sunday afternoon and fell in love with that BMW K1200. A close second being the Ducati ST4. Time to sell my "Land Yacht". The wife has a touch of bike fever aswell, liking the F650CS and on the other end of the spectrum, the H-D Lowrider. Could be an expensive spring??!! |

After the show I had a moment of motorcycle clarity. I see my mototrcycling future and it does not include a cruiser. My 2003 Yamaha Road Star is listed in todays "Bike, Boat, & RV Trader". If anyone is interested, or know someone who might be, its got 5800km on it and the selling price is $11500. Its been a while since I've sold a bike privately. Do I need to get a "used vehicle package" or does that invlove only cars & trucks??? |

Hey SOBs; I bought a bunch of X1 parts in the last couple of months - FI throttle body, injectors, ECM, fuel pump, pressure regulator, level switch, rear shock ('98 S3 I think), 2000 exhaust header, O2 sensor, throttle position sensor, most of the electrical stuff. If you have to troubleshoot an X1..... Most of the stuff came from McKay Cycle Creations, he buys Buells and makes custom bikes - saw a neat one on Tuesday, a custom framed Buell for a midget (with a 14" inseam).... |

It cost $1800. The model is "EconoTig", it comes in a kit with everything you need (except Argon gas) to start welding. |

New tires to install, updated primary chain tensioner to install, detent plate, newer polished header to put on and I guess a maintenance check. The S3 has 16,000KM on it.Bought this from Pete's sales in Pembroke with 4,800km in Mar 2003.Few things I can do just lack the tools and confidence. Thanks Shawn |

Oi lads, looks like some of us may be getting together for a pint and a natter later this evening. Hess Village's Irish pub The Caleigh House is the likely crime scene. It's been a long winter, boys. We need to get caught up. My # (289)887-1734 Shawn, we could talk about getting your S3 properly sorted out. John, there's this cardboard box in my livingroom you may be interested in.... cheers lads, Lornce

I have no recollection of any such event. You must be making this up, though I did get a dirty look from the neighbour this aft, no sense of humour man. Final score: The Axis of Evil (Bushmills, Maker's Mark, Guinness and others I can't recall) 1, Aaron 0, a truly glorious defeat. Anyway, gotta get back into the dog house... |

Was that 3:00am!!!!! I usually start up the S1 with the V&H Pipe when the neighbors drummer kid starts beating the skin late at night. Kinda drowns out the whole neighborhood. |

Anyone know were I can pick up a shock for my 2001 X1? Last year at Cayuga it blew up...or should I say blew out...and I need a replacement ASAP. These guys can make me a custom one... http://www.stadiumsuspension.com/en/routiere.html ...I'm not sure of the cost. What's an OEM one worth? The mighty X1 is tearing up the road this year! It sure feels good. Everyone still have their Buell's??? |

I bought a shock off eBay last year to have a spare - it is the new style Showa (the seller wasn't sure if it is from a 2000 X1 or a 2000 S3 - the only difference is the spring?). I also have a complete throttle body assembly (TPS, injectors), 2000 stock ECM, ignition coil, cam position sensor, master cylinder rebuild kit, stock 2000 X1 header. If you want the shock while you look at your options, or if you ever need some parts for troubleshooting.... John
