Two things... Saturday April 2nd, meeting at 1040/depart 11:00 am, leaving from Gail's. Is the lunch run to Lawrence. Second thing... Would anyone like to volunteer to lead the ride. Sharon still has not found work, and my budget is approaching "critical mass". I can show and do all the releases and paper work, and provide a printed route. anyone... anyone... Bueller! |

Someone wanted to build swingarm sliders for an XB, and I said I would donate some yellow skateboard wheels. Who, and do you still wanna? XB owners. I had some pulsing in the front end under mildly hard breaking. The front end needed to be re-torqued. The problem went away. If anyone with out proper tools, lift (the front tired has to be off the ground to check and re-torque).... etc needs this done. Let me know when you want to come over to my shop. It takes about an hour, and most of the time is setting up my British lift. It lifts by the front pegs and the front jack point on a factory standard or factory racing can. |

I want to go on the ride, but aren't they having the Grand Opening on Saturday with the Stunt Team? I thought the two shows were at 1 and 4...correct? |

There is a place called the Free State Brewery. Just off Mass street. Good food, great fish & chips. (Message edited by dasbuell on March 30, 2005) |

Thanks Richie... I will show with the route and take care of the liability releases for any nonmembers that want to ride. If you remember the trip we made hitting the back roads when we rode there for lunch I think year before last. That is what I tried to replicate. Not sure if did, so if you have a route that is better once you see my map. Feel free to make it a better ride. If you don't jump... cool... if you do jump... thanks for offering... totally understand making a jump. If I were younger and had the money to gear up right, I'd be wanting to do the same. |

Can you guys post the info on the place in Overland Park to get tires mounted? I have over 6000 mi on my Pirelli Diablos and am now seeing a nasty patch in the center of the rear tire, I have the new front from the Pirelli promo and found a rear Diablo on the net for $115, so I can get this mule reshod for the upcoming gas price hikes. |

Alter Ego will mount your tires for $10 each and then Frank at central will balance them for you. It's in Sams neck of the woods off of Shawnee Mission Parkway. |

Is anyone, or has anyone been to some kinda brunch thingy in or around Eldorado, Ks.?. I guess they have it on the last Sunday of every month during the spring and summer. I've been invited to go, but if it's lame, then screw it. I was also told that there is usually a couple hundred or so bike there, does that sound correct? |

Dennis, you are NEVER to old to make a jump.We have all the gear you will need, you just need to be under 200 to do a tandem. |

>>>Is anyone, or has anyone been to some kinda brunch thingy in or around Eldorado, Ks.?. Yes. And I'll have to look to find the name of the town. Vickie and I flew in from NYC to go once. It's North of Wichita and they literally line every street in town with bikes. Best part was that once you get there you have, assuming your are coming from Shawnee/Douglas/Johnson County, placed some of the funnest roads in Kansas (darn right there are some fun roads in Kansas) between you and home. Time it so you hit the Sunday brunch in Council Grove. Court P.S. - the trip the other day was for but a couple hours but yielded one of the funnier stories in a couple years. Next time we visit ask me about exorcising my Jeep demons. The story needs to be reduce to writing. I am an idiot and have gone far beyond what is required to provide documented proof. |

True Richie... I have no desire to tandem. I know it is unlikely, but should there be a major malfunction, and a big bounce. I'd hate the last photo of me being me face down in the dirt with another GUY on me! Anyway I am about 3-6 pounds over that weight limit anyway, unless my doctors scales lie. I hate the fact they don't!!! I guess when it come to potentially fatal situations and sports, I am a control freak. Like the Iraq thing. If I can't be armed to fight for myself, I would not go. I won't ride bitch. Since I swim like a rock, I stay out of water, don't care how nice the boat is or how good the life jackets. Etc. Seriously Richie... I admire you and Keef on the skydiving, and I am impresses by the amount of experience you both have... and PLEASE to not think it has anything to do with the idea coming from you. It does not, I have felt this way long before we met. I just can't see me ever feeling comfortable with a tandem jump with anyone. I looked into skydiving a few years back. The cost of equipment to do it right ended that possibility, at this time and then anyway. Maybe someday though... and you and Keef will be the first guys I reach out to learn about equipment and related issues! |

Court... I can fix you up on the exorcising Jeep demons. Just ask a few of the MOB. One night a coupla summers ago I exorcised the demons from a few Buells outside The Other Place after bike night. Just ask KC Bill about that!

OK..."fess" up! Who is trying to get me in trouble? (I can get in trouble all by myself thank you!) I was contacted by a Lee's Summit cop today. It seems there is someone "impersonating" me in that city. A YELLOW Buell with a rider in a YELLOW helmet was seen on 470 doing about 95 mph! I got asked about that. Sometime before that "I" was seen I think at a convenience store. The cop waved at "me" and "I" just stared back, and did not respond. OK... who is the wise guy? It's all funny until I get pulled over for stuff I did not do!

Just wait until you get pulled over for robbing a bank you didn't rob. Happened to me in So.California, fortunately I got my helmet off before the officer got to me as it turns out the robber on the "antique" bike had red hair but was on a bike that looked like the 1968 Yamaha I was on at the time. Might be time to add some graphics to your helmet or bike. Or a little license plate frame that says: "I'm not that other guy". |
