Rusty, you say it ran 'pretty good with an open header."It may SEEM to run better, but it needs some backpressure in the exhaust to make the bike perform.So............even though it SEEMS to run ok,get a pipe on it a it will run better.Sometimes louder doesnt mean better.Just my 2 cents.. |

yeah I had no intention of doing anything other than running it to the gas station and back, looking out for cops they whole trip. I was slightly amazed how well the bike did run with open exhaust, not worth a noise and equipment violation ticket, but fun to sound like I had a huge mill with a big cam rolling over at the traffic light idle. I am getting a can this week. |

Hey Rusty, Thats cool, I figured a guitar head like you was not out to ruffle feathers any way, but ya never know! If you were to take it out for a high speed though, I think you would be real disapointed in the response on the throttle though. Not to mention the wear and tear on the ol rings EH'. Sam, I think that picture above is a must on your living room wall, that way the Mrs. dosn't forget the true blood of a Minnich! (evil laugh) hehehehe! (ridin since he\she was a baby). Hope all is well! See ya soon! |

I need to find a little red headed doll that I can put in the pouch vest and take some pictures doing wheelies and stuff on the fifty, and inadvertantly let margie see them....I bet I would never have to watch the baby again... I showed her the MX thing. We had a helluva party on Sat for the 200.... about twenty people and eight little hondas. No one got hurt this time...we missed you Paul |

Hey guys I dont think I will be doing much riding for the next couple of months, Tina's parents house burnt down in January and they didnt have verry good insurance so I am going to be spending my weekends for a while helping rebuild it. I wish I could be out riding with you but I have to help them out. I hope you guys have alot of fun and keep it safe, I will try to make the meetings though. |

Charles, yes....in a way. I have an entire XB motor in the garage (my spare) that you are welcome to scavenge short term parts from....meaning if you'll return the bolts you borrow when new ones arrive or deliver new ones to me when they arrive, then they're all yours. I know too well what, waiting for Buell to deliver parts, can do to you. I don't think I have any extra primary cover inspection screws, but I might have similar Items from the X1, that you could have. I'll check at home tonight, Either that or reread the above paragraph. Can you be more specific in what you are looking for? |

Shazam, I knew you were the right guy to ask. I need two of the bolts that actually secure the primary case to engine. I think there are 12 total, and somehow, two of mine have worked their way out. When would be a good time to meet up with you? Should I loctite those bolts? The manual didn't say to do that, but I think I should since the other two worked their way out. I will of course replace what I borrow. Except the beer I intend to steal from Dennis's fridge. |

Sunday's ride looks like it will be a great route. There are 10,713 curves in the route and that doesn't include in and out of Gail's parking. Okay, there's not that many curves, but it looks like it will be a BLAST! |

Dennis calm down, I know what you're thinking and it's not that bad, there was a break in. it's OK though, your padlock is unscathed. I know that's what you are worried about, the hinges on the opposite side have been irreparably damaged though...and when I say irreparably, I mean that after I determined that no beer had been removed, I attempted to fix the hinges. Talk about making a man thirsty, first of all The fridge is pretty heavy, and if I was going to work on those hinges I thought I might need the thing closer to the workbench, I didn't want to unplug it for fear the beer might warm. Pondering this dilema left me parched. Those few delicious beers gave me an idea for lightening the whole of the container, without letting the beer get cold. I had a couple of more just thinking about why someone would go to all the trouble of cracking your safe yet leaving the contents intact. I almost grabbed an extension cord as the few remaining beers were starting to taste a little tepid, but thought I could handle that problem the way I had ingeniously handled all the others, ICE!... So when I got back from the Gas station with two bags of ice, (I wasn't sure how long this was going to take) I proceeded to place the few remaining beloved vessels of happy sauce into there new more hospitable home, the cooler. Unfortunately I had forgotten to replace the drain plug when I put the Ice in, and Horror of Horrors, I saw (as luck would have it) out of the corner of my eye the life blood bleeding out of the end of the cooler. I got to the last beer before it skunked, It was close. but your padlock has not been harmed, I was very careful of that considering it would have been a lot easier to repair had the door not been affixed at the handle. I repeat your padlock has not been harmed, so please do not take that tone with me I was and am looking out for your interests. did you hear me? your padlock has not been harmed. that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Oh! and in addition, I have no recolection of what happened to the beer that was inside..... |
