I went to the one in Pomona on Sat. and got to see the latest renditions of high dollar unrideable ridiculousness that all the "Pro Builders" are foisting off on the newest generation of badassbikers. Saw maybe 3 Buells in the parking lot, and none inside the show. There were a few really cool old-style customs thrown in the mix, for the rest of us. Several really cool Knuckleheads and Pans were found hiding in amongst the sea of apehangers, 6" wide open belt drives, skull paint jobs and Ben-Hur sh!t. I've got one left-over 'complimentary' admission ticket that I'll send to anyone that may want to go the show in Sacramento, Charlotte, Knoxville or Coumbus. The admission is 18 bucks, if you are a paying customer. Parking at Pomona was $9 per bike!!! Beer was also 9 bucks a cup!!! (I parked, but didn't bother with the beer, though a friend I went with had to clean out his shorts when they told him the beer price!) I'm gonna buy a parking lot, and set up a beer tent, and retire to the French Riviera in a couple of months! Anyhow, maybe there will be someone here that may want to go, but doesn't feel like shelling out the Sawbuck for admission. First to PM me with an address to mail the ticket to gets it. I'll put it in the mail to ya. It says "complimentary ticket - good for one adult daily admission" on it - and the other 3 (we had 4) got me and my 2 friends in just fine. Al | ||

I have been to the show in Fowlerville, MI, a couple of times. My daughter had some shirt tail in-law that ran the bike pulls and monster truck show, he got us camping in the pits for free. Now after telling you that all I have to say is, the only reason to go there is to walk around naked and have sex in public. The pits were safer, though there were a few ambulance calls due to accidents from people hitting things, but the main camp ground was off the hook. I was in constant danger of being run over by people trying to destroy their motorcycles. The drive-in bike show was more interesting than anything going on, but you could see the whole thing in about an hour and a half. I have since decided that I would rather spend my $18 on gas and ride(perferrably someplace 100 miles or more from the show) By the way, save your bike, take a truck and your camping gear, it is truly not a bike show or ralley but really a BIG party. |
