Maybe, after you move, you could post full size pictures. Some of us who dont have an up to date computer and still have dial up, cant open the larger size pics! I'd love to see what your bike looks like |

You cant click the thumbnails? If you click it, it gets larger. BUT, if thats the problem, no worries, I could email them... I just dont have the option to resize them. Chase |

Thumbnails work (takes you to a different site), but I either get a blank picture or my computer crashes while the site uploads (downloads?) them. Gearheaderiko@cs.com |

Slicker, no, its the D&D Fat Cat... nice pipe... Erik, no worries... I was in the middle of a move when all that was going on... Still need to send the rear fender out for paint, probably about the same time I send the exhaust out to be re-coated... Chase |

like the chopjob chase. we had the blue/black nightster, after i totaled the xbscg last year, for a while until i test rode the xt then it was history. still have the passenger pegs and two up seat which made it nicer for me to ride but not for the daughter. and for a sportster, it was a nice ride. |

yea and the foot peg kit. it's basically brand new cause i was working out of town and my daughter only rode it with the solo seat. it made for a nicer ride for me. it was actually quite comfortable. i don't think that there's to many seats that are availble for the nightsters so if you go to the website and check it out. let me know if your interested. |

Those handlebars are crazy! I'd love to take that bike around the block. Pure attitude, man. |

Fricking awesome. I love what H-D has done with the custom Sportsters lately, especially the Nightster - wish I weren't 6'3". What you've done to your Sportster is the true nature of Harley-Davidson. The standard models are nice, but taking what looks pretty cool at stock and making them so totally unique? That's what makes H-D bikes great (and pricey). Heck, do it with ANY make or model. Make it original. Slowly but surely, I'm doing similar things to my Street Bob. |

Badass! Great job! What handlebars are those? They really complete the bike. |

Those were some generic bars.. the bike doesnt even look like that anymore.. haha... different bars, different pipes... I have some pics.. but, they arent that great, and it started snowing before I could finish all I was going to do it... until I can work on it some more, its sitting under a tarp, under a foot of snow... Thanks though.. .liked the look, but, wanted something different... Chase |

Are you going with similar bars? Please don't tell me you're going with mini-apes. I'm waiting on the new pics. If I get a Nightster, I want to modify the bars for a lower, more sportier profile. Love the 2-1 pipes! Does it increase hp? (Message edited by vanvideo on February 06, 2009) |

The pipe was fantastic.... LOVED it, loud as hell,(D&D), performed great... totally removed all flat spots in the power... and DEFINATELY gained a bunch up top, as well as low speed throttle response... The bars, I still have them, on my bench, if you want them when/if you pick up a N....I dont know the brand, or anything... just saw them in a small indy shop... took'em outside, lined'em up... and said, yep, I'll take them... AS far as pics... here are a few bad ones from right after xmas.... (click the pics) Dont let the angles fool you... they are less than 6 inch rise, and narrow as hell... They're NOT mini apes... Wanted to do them in a 4inch rise, but, the bends, and all wouldnt work... Its a bobber, not a sportbike, still handles like a sporty, but... a little more relaxed than it was...there was just TOO much forward lean... now, its just right... Once I finish chopping the rear how I want it, things will start looking better... Chase |

Looking good, Chase! I just got back from test riding a Nightster (olive green-nice!). It had bars very similar to the drag bars you had. I really liked the riding position. I prefer a lean-forward, cafe-racer style of riding. Not that the bike was any kind of racer. It had good torque, but a Buell XB it ain't. Still, it was a lot of fun. For an around-town bike, I don't think I could find a more enjoyable mount. I just might have to pull the trigger. |

Thanks, Yeah, bought mine as a commuter, since the Buell is a bit aggressive for my right leg these days.... So, just making it fun, and comfortable... Chase |

Did the drag bars clear the tank at full turn? I'm going to check out another Nightster with stock bars. The first mod I'd do is change the bars. |

Chase, can you tell me about that bag you have mounted on the side of the bike? What type of bag is it and how did you mount it? Thanks, Frank |

Chase, nice Sporty! I wanted to keep mine but it didn't work out for commuting very well for me. I will pick another one up in a couple of years and hack it up to my liking. Ken |

Van, yeah, they cleared, just had to make sure the controls were lined up right.... Skinner... the bag is a solo bag from Licks Cycles.... I LOVE it.... great quality, etc... though a bit pricey.... but, worth every cent.... Blasterd, thanks, I love this, and gonna cut and hack a little more, and leave it alone... The X1 has gotten outta hand... I wont let the sporty(I hope).... Chase |
