When you install a D & D slip-on, do you disconnect the cable that controls the valve in the stock exhaust? Thanks |

Yes Chris, you take out the cable and servo motor. Did you put the Buell of Appleton sticker on your Jeep yet? I forgot to ask you tonight. |

If you don't have the race ecm, leave the servo motor in (where it sits on top of the airbox). If you have the stock ecm and remove the servo, the check engine light will always be on. |

Yeags, I did not get thru to the person I need. I will try again. I would say it should bolt up tight. |

As long as they are the same size, go for it. I need to install one of these some day so I can help better! |

You can use the exact same nut and bolt that was holding on the original clamp. Just grab some washers at the hardware store if you need to. Just tighten it with a lot of torque so it doesn't come loose. |

Anybody see the dyno charts at kdfab.com The Drummer out performs the D&D, on the charts shown on the site. |

Not trying to knock the drummer at all, but I was looking for sound over performance. Besides, the difference in numbers is small. I guess it's just personal preference. |

Have you listened to both of them, does the D&D sound better. I've got one of the new style 12 Drummers. It has more volume than the old ones. It sounds bad to the bone. I don't know what the D&D sounds like. Spike has one of the old Drummers on his 12R. He said my pipe sounded different |

I have a D&D on my 9 and my brother has a D&D on his 12. Both sound badass. The 12 sounds much meaner. I only heard that the drummer was not as loud. This was back in July when I was looking at both. |

I've never heard the D&D so I'll take your word for it. But if the Drummer on my bike were any louder you'd have put it ear plugs. Sounds like both pipes are loud. And sound sweet! Kevin asked how loud I wanted it, and I said as loud as it can get. Sounds ssooooo Bad! |

Yeah, my ears ring a while after riding. But its like music, sounds better loud to me. I should be wearing ear plugs. I'll just say huh a lot when I,m older. |

i used to ride a 82 fxr shovelhead with drag pipes.....would shoot flames out the exhasut...my buddy claims i will need to pay for the hearing damage i've done to him and his 4 yr old son. I didn't think they were that bad until i let him drive my bike and i drove his....he pulled up next to me and hammered it.....the next light we came to i apologized for every time i wacked the throttle while i was next to him....I haven't heard my D&D on the road yet and i can't wait...loud pipes save lives right?? |
