Can anyone tell me the size and thread of the mirror holes in the handlebar levers for the XB? I am wanting to get some RAM ball mounts and I don't have my bike with me. Are they 3/8" 16? If so, I think these would thread right in. http://www.gpscity.com/npi/RAM-B-236U/ramb236/large_graphic.htm I have a Firebolt so the mirror locations are free. Planning on adding some electronics. |

Shazam is right. I found that out when I put my Ness mirrors on. Rich |

Thanks guys! Don't think RAM makes a ball with a metric stud so I will have to use another style. The ball is part of a mounting system for electronics and other doo-dads, http://www.ram-mount.com. I have ordered the Veypor performance monitor, http://www.veypor.com, and it comes with a RAM mount system. I am shopping for the best way to mount a ball end onto the Firebolt. |

I had a ram mount on my Ninja. The stuff is top notch. I ran a small minidv video camera on it. I have yet to find a good way to use a ram mount on my XB9r. (Message edited by captainplanet on February 24, 2005) |

I have ordered an assortment of mounts so I can find a good mounting position for the Firebolt. The rest of the mounts I can use on the other toys. I'll make a new post when I get the gadgets installed. |

For anyone that is interested. The thread on the mirror mounting holes which are covered by plugs on a Firebolt is a Fine Metric M10 x 1.25 not the 1.5 that was mentioned above. This is for a 2005 Firebolt not sure if they changed the pitch from 2004 or not. |
