Rigga, the STOCK CAN brackets... Rear oval, which the oil lines travel through... I tried to unbold the daft thing but won't come loose. ANY THOUGHTS TO REMOVE STOCK CAN & BRACKETS... Also my TFI is acting up like a dog.. This is the second unit, the green pot flashes on power up.. In the manual it says all pots should flash then go out. TROUBLESHOOTING, if the green pot flasher then it's YELLOW/WHITE connector... I have looked, assembled & re done several times.. STILL FLASHES.... |

Rigga, almost topped myself today, on the bike and a car in front of me ran over a piece of wood, it broke and 2 pieces flew up, 1 I deflected with my arm the other went straight into front wheel, was like hitting a huge pot hole at 120km'h. With 1 hand on throttle I eased off, pulled her back in-line, talk about freaky stuff... Similar to MotoGP wild corner exit speed wobble, All happened in an instant.... When I got home I inspected the XB, all is good, some marks on the front tyre, will monitor for any damage over the next couple of rides... Talk about a wild Friday... Glad to be home... |

Briz.... lucky escape there mate, ould have been much worse, have a very good look over the bike to make sure everything is ok before you ride it again....you say the only marks are on the tyre?..is the tyre itsef ok,carcass not damaged in any way, might weaken the tyre thats all. stock pipe removal..... i just lifted the bike in a paddock stand, undid the threee oil lines, only one will leak a little oil, large center one i think, then release the front clamp mount and downpipe clamp, the rear mount i just undid the bracket from the underside of the engine, two bolts, you will need to fit the jardine bracket anyway, took the whole lot off in one go,my bolts were not that tight, might be too much loctite on them so seem super tight. tfi? well i still have issues with mine so might not be the best to advise, but when ignition turned on my green light only flashes for a few seconds then stops, start the bike and the lights only flash when revved,as i say im not sure mine is perfectly ok having run it with the o2 connected the wrong way round |
