Alex you can run th stock ecm but you should put the Race ECM in and have the TPS reset. If your running the stock ECM plug your servo motor back in so it thinks its still running it just disconnect the cable from it.Your light will go out. With the stock ECM your bike will run a little lean. |

ok, plugged it back in for now. I'll get the race ECM soon I hope. OMG, I cannot believe how it sounds. I'm not sure if it's to loud or not, ear plugs will prolly be coming. but it sounds beautiful. I don't know how you could stand the D&D being any louder. Sounds great (Message edited by dalx19 on February 10, 2005) |

If you want to utilize the factory ECM which Dobeck recommends, you can remove the servo but it requires a little rewiring. You can find wiring diagrams in the knowledge vault. Once the servo is removed it makes a nice place to store the control for the TFI were moisture can't get to it and it is accessible for adjustment. |

I have the LAtus pipe with race ECM and it runs great! I left the exhaust servo plugged in. Am I right to say you don't need to leave it plugged in with the race ecm to get rid of the engine light? |

I run a Force pipe on a 12R... If you want to ride for more than about 30 minutes around town... Wear ear plugs. It's that simple. I installed it on a Friday, rode it a total of four times on Saturday for about 30-45 minutes each time. I had a pretty good headache each time and my ears didn't stop ringing until late that night. I'm completely surprised that I haven't been pulled over for it yet... |

I ran the latus for a little while. I thought it sounded great until I got over about 3500rpm. Then it was just too loud for me. Sensitive ears I guess. The jardine is not nearly as loud as the latus. I think from quiet to loud it goes like this. 1. stock 2. Buell Race 3. jardine 4. latus / drummer 5. d and d 6. force |

Oh yeah also M1, How does this new force compare to the old force, what are the main differences I heard they are going to be making one for the 9 and the 12 will be different is yours the new 12 one or the new one they put out but not the new design just for the 12? |

I have the old Force... I would do it this way... 1 - Stock 3 - Race muffler 4 - Drummer 5 - D&D 9 - Force (Maybe eight on a nine) The Force gives a FREAKING AWESOME gurgle, spit, growl, roar, pop, howl, rasp and volume. Blipping the throttle for downshift (and just for fun ) is great. Shifting up is awesome as you let out the clutch. Idle is sweet. The raspy gurgle you get from 4K down to 1500 coming to a street light is WAY TOO COOL! It sounds better than any Harley I've ever heard, and I grew up around some very nice ones. My next choice for the sound alone would be a Drummer. |

Stay out of Alexandria VA.. They ticket loud pipes.. And if they think they are not street legal, they will 'impound for inspection' which of course you have to pay for.. So.. For warned is for armed.. Later, |

hmmm , I wd. have thought the d&d wd. be louder than the drummer I know it is louder on mine than the drummer, I wonder what the difference will be for the new force for the 12? |

I just noticed today that some of the paint on the back of my Latus can is peeling off between the outlets. No big deal but I only have about 4k on that can. |

I've got misatos force pipe clip saved on my computer and play it occasionally for a really invigorating rush. I love the sound of that thing. gurgle, spit, growl, roar, pop, howl That's EXACTLY the way I'd describe it too, M1combat. |

Hogs, the "new" Force will sound like the first one, in that the XB Force sounds just like the one's for tubers. It's that open, reverse megaphone that get's the unique sound. I've heard one on all models of Buells, as I'm sure also, have many others. |

Thanks Noface, I guess I`m wondering that they are making the new force for the 9 and I heard they are also making one for the 12 two different pipes or just the headers orrrrrrrrrr Just a bunch of rumors etc. But I wd. think that the 9 and 12 should be different size headers Seems to me that it would make a difference for two different displacements but then again maybe too much money to make two different systems.??? Anyone know anything about this ,Sorry maybe this is the wrong thread to be asking this as well..! |

If you'd like to hear the Force pipe on a 9R, here's a link to a clip I made this am. Keep in mind it's a cold engine, and it's cold outside, and I didn't rap on it too much. http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/ACgOQuYyESoTgtDcRDCLyfw90qQHDZc5r_HhK3BUZbagTHHZktl l034jmE1vTUf8DvdZesrjzmyjvaLFsZnA/XB9R%20wForce.MPG |

Force might be making two different headers on the second generation headers, and I could see how that might make a difference, but I don't know if they are or not. |

You should here it from the saddle under load and when you blip the throttle for downshifts . |

Misato actually made two... One is the green bike and the other when it was black and mostly not polished. He's got a couple of dyno runs as well. |
