Me and my bro took Captainplanet's advice from this thread(http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/88624.html) and bought a pair of the Collett radios. They are awesome. They even work good on the highway. The range is decent. It's not nearly the 2 miles that they stated on the website, although I'm sure we have a lot of interference where we live. We tried the Motocomm setups with some Motorola Talkabouts, but they were crap. If anyone is looking for a communication solution, the Collett is definitely the one to get. |

do you guys have loud exhausts? i've heard that the loud exhaust will cause the headsets to be on all the time and it just gets annoying... |

Yeah, of course we have loud exhausts...he's got a 12R with a D&D and I've got a 9S with a D&D. The only time we tripped the vox is when we opened 'em up, but it was still only on for a second. |

Cool, I still love my collett stuff. My wife and I both have loud exhaust. It is pretty rare to get an open mic from the exhaust. The range of these things are just awesome. |

we use hand signals, but mostly i just try to keep up with my wife on her Ducati. fortunately her monster uses more fuel than my XB12, so i can always catch her at the next fuel stop. |
