I was curious as to where you guys were displaying them without having to put them on area that would be scraped/scratched upon removal. |

I have to put mine on a little metal flap that sits below the plate. Looks like hell, I hate it. I believe I read somewhere on here that in TX, the law states that the tag must be displayed, but it doesn't mention that it has to be visible from the rear. So someone suggested just sticking it on the rear of the license plate. Don't take my word for it though, just something funny I remember reading. |

Here is how I mounted mine. It is attached using the brake line bolt. You can get the plate off ebay or from any custom bike shop.

I had mine placed on the head tube above the VIN sticker. A little vegetable oil and a soft plastic scraper to remove. Displaying it thus violates Texas code, ... (1) require that a certificate for a motorcycle be attached to the rear of the motorcycle near the license plate. I figure that at least I have one, it is visible, and can be easily inspected without the man having to squat. The dealer originally placed it on the swing arm, but after a few weeks it fell off. The swing arm gets warm enough for the sticker to soften and loose adhesion. |
