Why are people bidding on the Buell knit hat on Ebay for more than $20? You can get them from Buell for $19.99. Plus if you order from Dave you get the Badweb discount. Can anyone explain this to me, sounds like alot of people getting excited and not check prices to me, or maybe they are the same people that pay $11,000 for a used 2003 XB9. |

Tim, Sometimes buyers on ebay make no sense at all. I have seen the same senario play out many times with various products. A good example would be an auction I was watching for a set of four stainless steel braided brake lines (for a 280Z). The seller listed where he bought them from, MotorSportAuto, and even gave a link to their website on his auction page. The auction started very low, like $1. Just for the heck of it, I decided to click on the link and see what the same brake lines sold for new. I was surprised to see they retailed for under fifty dollars, like $46.95 or something. So imagine my amazement as I watched the auction climb and climb until it finally closed at $110 if I remember correctly. I know it was more than double the "brand new" cost. Needless to say, I bought mine new, from the source. |

I have also seen this same scenario time and time again. It really is amazing what people will pay sometime on eBay! |
